Evolution of Rainbow High - A Retrospective in Violet: FF Violet, Lila, Lilac & Shadow High Lavender

- Today we will be taking a look at 4 dolls from the Rainbow High family of dolls. These 4 dolls span the last 2 years of the series, from Rainbow High Series 4 Lila Yamamoto to Rainbow High Fantastic Fashion Violet Willow and New Friends Lilac Lane, with Shadow High Series 3 Lavender Lynn. Also, these dolls all share a color theme, in various violets.
See the evolution of how we went from getting a doll with two full outfits to when they released the Rainbow High New Friends series that introduced different body types. New Friends was the last series of new characters we received in the Rainbow High series and Shadow High Series 3 was the final Shadow High series release, so sad to see these two series come to an end.

Shadow high is my favourite RH too ❤
I miss them so much. The new Sparkle and Shine dolls were originally going to have fantasy skin tones like Shadow High, but they were released with normal human skin tones.
@@BearlyUnboxed maybe the OG rainbow high and shadow high will come back one day🤞I think their downfall was too many dolls at once. They gotta stick to 4 max every 4-6 months- then they would see better results. It would give people a better chance to collect all of them, they wouldn’t need to rent so much shelf space, and it would also build up more hype for each release❤️
@@dianewebster3763 we can only hope! 🤞🏻I have heard that Shadow High didn't sell very well overall so that's probably why the dolls were changed.
You can use boiling water to get rid of those indents on her nose. It may not get rid of them completely but it definitely will be an improvement 😊

I have them all. I gave Violet to my mom. I have another Violet, the Costume Ball. Those 2 Violets & the Cheer Violet are the best of her dolls, imo. The other Violets are not great...lol.
I have to agree that Violet isn't my favorite, but when they do her right, she's gorgeous! My favorite Violet is the Winter Break version, she has such beautiful hair and makeup I think.
@@BearlyUnboxed oh, I forgot about winter line. Yes, I don't have that one, but those are also better than series 1.
Despite me not being into purple that much, some of my favorite RH dolls are purple ironically enough 😂 my favorites are Tessa, Lila and costume ball Violet, I like her fantastic fashion doll too, she reminds me of a flapper from the 1920s
I feel that same way about blue and yellow dolls. I love Skyler Bradshaw Fantastic Fashion and Robin Sterling even though blue is not my favorite. Sunny Madison I pretty much love all her dolls, especially her cheer doll. Alos, Violet's look in her Fantastic Fashion totally is a flapper look, I didn't realize that at first.
