Brent Steffenson did amazing conquering the ultimate cliffhanger and thus going farther than any American in the past. However, I can't believe no one else could even get past the second stage, despite their being no new obstacles. At least everyone will get a second chance in American Ninja Warrior 5.
you should see what they did in Sasuke in Japan this year, they call it the "Crazy Cliffhanger", it's a regular cliffhanger, but at the end, you have to transition yourself to the opposite side and grab the cliffhanger bar in order to continue
ANW Season 4 2012 obstacles Stage 1: Twelve Timbers The Rolling Log The Giant Swing The Jumping Spider Half-Pipe Attack The Warped Wall Spinning Bridge Final Climb Stage 2: The Spinner Double Salmon Ladder Unstable Bridge Balance Tank Metal Spin Wall Lift Stage 3: Roulette Cylinder Doorknob Grasper Floating Boards Ultimate Cliffhanger Bungee Rope Climb The Hang Climb Spider Flip The Flying Bar Stage 4 Rope Climb
He wasn't the first American to beat the cliffhanger. Kane Kosugi beat the much easier version of the cliffhanger in tournament 8 of SASUKE. Kane is American though according to Wikipedia.
Didn’t he beat the ultimate cliffhanger in either his first year or second year? I remember clearly that the ultimate cliffhanger was something nobody could beat and then Brent does it
i love american ninja warrior i jus think its so unfair the obstacles are or look way harder then those that the first ever ninja warriors even conquered. if these guys got a chance to run the ones where people won they could do it but they are pushing people to be better and better every year ad make it harder and no one ever wins. i brent wins though he has come so far
The worst part is thats not even a V3. The course is just so taxing on the arms. I'm defiantly going to train to a 100 pull ups in one setting before I attempt this course. It sucks because most climbers never get past the running and jumping obstacles so they never get to strut there stuff where they can dominate. Most expierenced climbers I think could destroy stage 3.
when i saw brent do his run on tv i knew how hard stage 3 is, and brent has gone far and did it! midoriyama is such a beast
LOLturbez
you gotta remember that too that was in japan not in america dude

Parkour Ninja 5 years later & the freaking qualifiers are now harder than this stage 3.
Natearl13 no not even close but the city finals are harder than stage 1 and maybe stage 2
this brent is better than the brent now

they increase the difficulty each time someone completes it
He most likely would have been the first American to complete stage 3 if he didn’t give up on the hang climb
You literally are the only other comment I noticed that doesn't say over a year ago

That’s Sasuke however because Brent completed it on American Ninja Warrior whiches the American spinoff!

This is the year he beat it lol.
Fun facts: 4 or 5 veterans in 3 American ninja warrior or Sasuke they all falled i think in japan was harder

if the course was the same as it was in season 1 or 2 then 30 people would beat it every year considering how hard stage 3 is now in season 8
That has gotta hurt
OMG WOW
It's yr 4 but stage 3
this is fucking ridiculous this stage
schectermartin69 Have you seen it now? Now it is the 2012 stage on steroids.

ZachLuscher dude Ian Dory may be the best climber left in the world pack and he can do 50 pullups
