God, watching Pikachu vs Peach is so god damned demoralizing. How the hell does Axe keep going? How is he supposed to do anything against that character? God even the fact that he can keep it as close as he does is just so amazing.
Pikachu's hitboxes are outranged by peach's bair, fair and sometimes even nair. As well as her having superior frame data by a lot. This means Pikachu is the one forced to approach and proactivelty outplay in neutral many times since he cant combo her. Worst part? Since she has better frame data and range, Pika struggles to even trade with her let alone straight out play and get a clean hit. Problem? Trading is reeeeeallly bad with Peach, she's called queen of trades for a reason. She does at least 4x as much damage as pika on a hit for hit basis and she can somewhat combo him. Literally everything is against pika.
