    Thanks for breaking the stove and pump down to see how to repair them in the field. I have this same pump, but unfortunately it leaks from the lindal 'spindle' valve assembly (where you attach the hose). Have you ever tried servicing this part of the pump?

      Thanks for tuning in and sharing your thoughts! 🙏👍 I'm glad to hear you found the breakdown helpful. Regarding your question about servicing the Lindal 'spindle' valve assembly, I haven't personally encountered that issue, thankfully. However, I've been proactive in maintaining my gear after each use, which might🤔be why I haven't run into such problems in the field. But regarding the part you are talking about, I have not done anything. I might need to go and check it. No leaks anyway...hmm.
      Thanks again for watching, and happy trails! 😀👍

    I have the Optimus Polaris, it has a little different design of the jet. It uses the same jet for all types of fuel. It burns nice with alkylate and canister gas, but I think it’s burning with a little too yellow flames on kerosene.

    Great video, thanks! What pump is this you got with your omnifuel? Doesnt look like the standard Primus ErgoPump, that has a black plastic parts that seem to be aluminium in yours.

      Hello and thanks for your comment. The bottle is Markill that I purchased in the early 2000s. It is aluminum as you write and I am not sure if it is available now days. Try searching on some internal search engine and maybe it can be found? (Markill brennstoff-flasche fuel bottle) It was the only bottle model available when I bought the multifuel burner.

      @@ultrakulultrakul the bottle is not from primus indeed. But the pump, is it primus or also a different brand?

    Can the stove also be used with liquid gas? So if I turn the gas catusche.... Because I don't see any preheating coil. But the combustion of gasoline does not work differently, right?

    • @ultrakulultrakul
      @ultrakulultrakul  ปีที่แล้ว

      Normally, the idea is that the liquefied gas (which it is in these gas bottles) turns into gas in order for it to be as optimal as possible. If you get liquid gas out of the opening, I suspect that you can get a lot of puffing and that leads to poor combustion, as you sudgesting. As if turning the gas canister so that the liquid flows away along the line to the burner. What you can do is to use liquid fuel that preheats the burner, but there is no preheating hose that the fuel passes through in connection with the combustion as there is on some burners. When the burner reaches working temperature, it is so hot that no preheating is necessary. For gas, you can see me using it frying eggs in one of my videos :)

    Great video!
    Would the pump be compatible with the current Omnifuel II ?
    The pump that you have has a metal "screw on cap" as opposed to the plastic one of the current Primus Omnifuel model.
    I prefer metal over plastic.

      Hi! and nice to see that you watched the movie and commented. I'm wondering if it's not the same thread in the hose for both. But I have to double-check on mine and see when I have the opportunity during my busy everyday life.👍😀 I also guess the metall will manage higher pressure?
