It's a hard question for sure and the answer will depend on who you ask. Personally, while practice does make perfect eventually... a skill people tend to neglect is being able to listen to music and deconstruct it in your head (grasping the music you play intuitively is valuable). I'd recommend listening to the type of music you'd like to play on piano and listening to it A LOT. It's kind of just another version of "practice more" but practice does work; you just need to know what you need to practice (which is the hard part).
