I'm in South Louisiana and I literally googled NYC apartments bc it seriously boggles my mind..and I just love to learn how people live outside where I do🥰🥰
I lived in New Orleans and paid 800 for a 5 room shotgun not that long ago. Lived in Brooklyn Heights quite a while ago and paid 500 for a bedroom in a sweet Brown stone walk up. Live in Chicago now, 1100 for a nice two bedroom in Logan square. New Orleans has increase by at least 50% from my time there only 5 years removed. But places like NYC, New Orleans, SF are not where you want to be during a quarantine pandemic. Better to be on the bayou now.
Yep I went on a tour of art deco buildings and pieces in Miami where they have an art deco museum. Def didn't expect to see this type of building housing a 1550 per month apartment
@@debrahuddleston2551 she meant essentials you would need on a daily basis like bread, milk & eggs. Not that she would be shopping for those items every day.
Art Deco is my weakness. This one bedroom apartment could easily take two or three beds with cleverly placed room dividers or at least a massive sofa that converts into a bed. I Love it.
Hey thanks for commenting 🙂 This apartment just about blew my mind when I saw it, and I'm sure it's the case for others as well. It rented almost immediately after we made this video too.
Oooooh this is an early Cash Tour! When did you get your measuring tool? I can’t comprehend the sizes because I don’t know the footage 🤨 But this is an actual stunning apartment! It looks sooo big! I could fit 2 walls of floor to ceiling bookshelves in that massive living room and maybe even kind of split the room in 2 to make a library/living area. There’s room for a table by the window in the kitchen and the bedroom too could fit my big high bed (with under bed bookshelves) Nice beginnings Cash 👍🏼🤩
To be honest, it's tough to predict inventory because not every apartment comes up for rent every year. The particular apartment in this video was occupied for 3 or 4 years before going vacant, buy with enough looking you can always find something like this. Always a deal out there somewhere
Depends. For me, time is everything so if I spend a lot of time commuting and a lot of money on commuting, I likely would sacrifice some space to be closer to where I need to be.
Size matters it’s not just New Yorkers that like to live well. I’m in CT and have similar challenges. I moved further into suburbia to get a cheap apt with a little land to grow a garden.
Wow, this is a great deal! Lots of space for $1,500. This is a comparable deal with most of the county where I live in which 1 bedroom apartments rent at about $1,500.
I Live alone in Dyker Heights Brooklyn (once considered old Italian neighborhood) 6 family building , A small 750 sqft two bedroom apt one bath , rent stabilized been here 10+ yrs. I currently pay $1,125. 2 block from express D & N line train New Utrecht Ave station (45 min door to door commute to lower Manhattan), corner deli on my block, dunkin donut my chase bank and super market 3 blocks. I feel like I hit the lotto every day. My previous neighbor who moved out after living in her apt for 20+ yr paid $1000 and after she moved the landlord raised the rent to the new tenant to $1500 which is the average price for the neighborhood. Landlord is desperately waiting for the old tenants to leave haha.
Everyone calm down, this is in gravesend Brooklyn, nobody wants to live that far from manhattan. $1550 isn’t cheap but nor expensive for that location and size especially if it’s not near any trains
Actually, I’m sorry i failed to mention this in the video but this one was close (5 blocks) from the train station in gravesend but everything else you said is accurate. its good, but its not being given away for free and if it could be rented for more it would be. Great comment & perspective thank you 👍😎
The apts. in brand new buildings are small like boxes, hands down. @@CashJordan My son lives in the Bushwick area of Brooklyn and would like for me to move to NYC from Ohio, so we can see each other more often. I shared this listing with him, and he said it would be perfect for me. Lol he wants me there, but not too near as to cramp his style 😉
@@kc3074 very cool. If you decide to move to NYC Brooklyn is a great place to live. You can send Elvis a message on Instagram (instagram.com/elvis.9611) to see this one if it looks like it might work, but this is not the only spot in Brooklyn like this either :).
@@CashJordan ❤️
I'm in South Louisiana and I literally googled NYC apartments bc it seriously boggles my mind..and I just love to learn how people live outside where I do🥰🥰
Hey appreciate you finding this channel and enjoying the apartments, even if you won’t need one any time soon
The kitchen and bathroom need some cosmetic renovation but the size & Art Deco feel are great ☺
Yep I went on a tour of art deco buildings and pieces in Miami where they have an art deco museum. Def didn't expect to see this type of building housing a 1550 per month apartment
The mid-century decor of the lobby is rather charming.
Yep totally cool
As long as you have conveniences nearby like shopping, restaurants, grocery etc. I wouldn’t want to drive an hour to get daily supplies.
Yes the commute is not for everyone that's for sure, especially with how bad normal by traffic can be ☹️
If you have yo shop every day, something is wrong. . .
@@debrahuddleston2551 she meant essentials you would need on a daily basis like bread, milk & eggs. Not that she would be shopping for those items every day.
Sherry Rigby, ok, once a week. Well, then pay the higher price to shop once a week.
Art Deco is my weakness. This one bedroom apartment could easily take two or three beds with cleverly placed room dividers or at least a massive sofa that converts into a bed. I Love it.
That is such a steal ..
I live in Bensonhurst too one bedroom in my building is 1,500 big and lost of closet space but this is huge ...
Hey thanks for commenting 🙂 This apartment just about blew my mind when I saw it, and I'm sure it's the case for others as well. It rented almost immediately after we made this video too.
Great apartment! Lived in Brooklyn, NY most of my life. Good transportation, restaurants, and shopping. Now, we live in Florida.
Just wondering how long is the ride when all of new York heading to work in the morning and then RUSH hour to get back .
Hah probably 2hrs
It was far with no traffic
I only Like the old buildings! love them! Do you have any apts in old bldgs with exposed claw foot tubs?
Steps into the lobby, instantly quotes Egon:
“Art Deco. Very nice!”
😂
Oooooh this is an early Cash Tour! When did you get your measuring tool? I can’t comprehend the sizes because I don’t know the footage 🤨
But this is an actual stunning apartment! It looks sooo big! I could fit 2 walls of floor to ceiling bookshelves in that massive living room and maybe even kind of split the room in 2 to make a library/living area. There’s room for a table by the window in the kitchen and the bedroom too could fit my big high bed (with under bed bookshelves)
Nice beginnings Cash 👍🏼🤩
Yoo I saw this apt on street easy. How rare are apts like this for this price and space around oct - nov??
To be honest, it's tough to predict inventory because not every apartment comes up for rent every year. The particular apartment in this video was occupied for 3 or 4 years before going vacant, buy with enough looking you can always find something like this. Always a deal out there somewhere
Depends. For me, time is everything so if I spend a lot of time commuting and a lot of money on commuting, I likely would sacrifice some space to be closer to where I need to be.
This is unbelievable
It’s less than I pay personally. I thought about renting it for myself 👍
Size matters it’s not just New Yorkers that like to live well. I’m in CT and have similar challenges. I moved further into suburbia to get a cheap apt with a little land to grow a garden.
I hear ya it sounds like your place is much nicer
Solid apartment, if you work in Downtown Brooklyn this could be a great place!
That's a great point! Not everyone has to get to Manhattan.
Downtown Brooklyn is one subway stop from Manhattan. You are still going to be sitting on the subway train for quite a while from Gravesend.
Wow, this is a great deal! Lots of space for $1,500. This is a comparable deal with most of the county where I live in which 1 bedroom apartments rent at about $1,500.
I know right? 🧠 = 💥
Sounds like you’ve got an awesome apartment 👍😎
How did u find the apartment which site? Or did u drive around
This is Gonna B so Good🔥🔥🔥👍….
Hey Cash!
Just found out about your channel (thanks to @herebebarr)
It's really fun to watch your videos. Keep it up!
Thank you!! Means a lot to hear. Really appreciate it.
That's actually amazing....for NYC. Looks well kept 👌
I prefer living in Brooklyn sometimes You need that neighborhood community feel that detachment from the Manhattan
Your not alone! Many people need and want that escape from MH.
Solid video
Wow i like this one
Glad this one is a hit! 🙏💎
This just came up on my feed, not sure how I missed it. Great place but an hour on the train...damn that’s upstate!!
Yeah it’s so far
Everyone calm down, this is in gravesend Brooklyn, nobody wants to live that far from manhattan. $1550 isn’t cheap but nor expensive for that location and size especially if it’s not near any trains
Actually, I’m sorry i failed to mention this in the video but this one was close (5 blocks) from the train station in gravesend but everything else you said is accurate. its good, but its not being given away for free and if it could be rented for more it would be. Great comment & perspective thank you 👍😎
You did mentioned that it was four blocks to the train.
Who wants to live so far from the train.. Especially in winter??
David H , are you on facebook? :)
First reasonable priced apt I have seen you show.
This is how apartments are in my country's capital city, but they cost between $200-$500 per month.
What country Anthony?
@@clairelivefreeordie2551 And what are you paid?
The apts. in brand new buildings are small like boxes, hands down. You can find pre-war and post war apartments in upper Manhattan, Harlem, and the Bronx the same size as that apt. for some what higher.
That is a very good price for NYC period, he probably knew someone too. I didn't hear him talk about it.
Yes it was a great place for sure. Hard to find at this rate although as you mentioned for $1900 and up there's a lot more this size
Good info here on Brooklyn apartment hunting.
Thanks! There is definitely a trade-off (commute vs convenience) but you get a better apartment no question.
Aw making me miss BK again, lol. That is definitely a steal
Yep gravesend bk, but def a steal
this is right in my neighborhood!! (Bensonhurst). Never thought I'd see it featured anywhere. Thanks for making the trip here 😁 Funny though that I'm trying to move out since I grew up here, to experience a cooler location
Hey that's awesome! Such a small world out there. this was my first time and it's a nice neighborhood. Good luck with the move! There are lots of online resources you can use to find a place without an agent!!
@@CashJordan thanks! As soon as i survive this pandemic, will definitely try to tackle this on my own without an agent. Would like to see other Brooklyn neighborhoods featured in the future! Like downtown bk, park slope, Williamsburg, etc. 😊
@@amethystculture here's to hoping we both get through this asap without any issues 🤞☔
The lobby is amazing
Tired of the gentrification
Of Brooklyn
Real new yorker beeen known about these types of apartments.
It soo hard for us to even move now a days because Brooklyn turned into the new "hot spot"
Back in 2001 I lived in an apartment very similar for $1050.00 a month in Chicago ! My roommate and I shared it, I slept in the living room and she had the bedroom , I had a thick curtain that I used to separate my space .
Nice lots of people in NYC do that too
Where’d you search to find this apartment ? Currently apartment hunting especially that rent stabilized
Found it in Gravesend Brooklyn!
Cash Jordan I meant did you use a specific search engine or website ?
Try Zillow or Craigslist.
@@madjouba4290 streeteasy is even better
I love this place! Very reasonably priced for the size!
Dude seriously.... you can not find an apartment in brooklyn for $1500... Brooklyn is like the new Manhattan now.... studio's are going for $1500 and more so I dont believe the price of that apartment.... Also dont forget ur income has to match as well
If this apartment did not have an unbelievable price, I wouldn’t have wasted my time going to Gravesend 😂. Too far when I can walk to all the other apts I’ve done tours of.
I found a 2 bed 1 bath 1200 in Brooklyn just have to find the right sites to look
Plenty of apartments in that area for 1500$-1800$. You just have to know the right people!
Monae Butler was it in Brownsville ???
Which website did u go too?
This apartment is beautiful!!! Definitely something I would move into.
Yes I thought so Too!
I'm not sure it's "textured paint." My whole house is made of stucco, and I think that's probably what it is.
lol
Amazing Apt. Great space and would be lovely at Christmas saw a perfect place for the tree .
Thank you Cash. Your videos have a selling NYC vibe.
Thanks! Glad this one was a hit. Appreciate your support
