Congress Submits Breach Of Privilege Notice Against PM Modi Over ‘Derogatory Remark’ On Hamid Ansari

- The Congress party has submitted a breach of privilege notice against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This notice is over the statement which PM Modi made against the former Vice President Hamid Ansari in the parliament. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had accused former Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman, Hamid Ansari of leaning towards the opposition. The Congress has expressed a strong disapproval over the statement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They have also highlighted that this is ‘awful and unacceptable.’ Congress party has also demanded expunction of PM Modi’s statement from the parliamentary record. Jairam Ramesh has written a letter to Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, in which he said that no PM has ever attacked a former Speaker or Chairman of RS in the manner PM Modi has.

This PM should be dismissed until he learns decent behaviour. He has violated all the laws during the campaign yet EC remained quite.

I really wished Congress pitched someone sensible to take up the responsibility. They are not willing to put in the hard work and want everything quickly. That's why this drama to get quick attention.
@@anshughanghas4489 this is not a new thing in a parliament. Many such acts have been done previously and those were clear cases of bias approach by the speaker. If you look back, such things were not an alien thing for parliament but I'm criticizing the Congress for their act where they are trying to get short term attention and not actually doing what's needed of opposition.
