Great info Erin! Thanks for putting this video together. I agree it is a lot of work to do a membership program, but if it’s providing you with consistent income, hiring virtual assistants or ppl you know is key. You will then grow even more, subscribers will continue to get quality content consistently, and the owner can have more time off. I have a friend who did this. At first she was working lots of hours daily. Now, her subscribers are thousands, and she has hired a team of 30 ppl. As a result, my friend now only has to work 3-4 days a week. With all that said, you can have a solid membership club without being consumed by it.
I am actually building out my membership club right now! I am so excited! This video confirmed that I am on the right path of breaking the year down into quarters/months/weeks for my content so I and my subscribers will always know what's next! I think the consumers will really force the coaches to innovate in the next year.
Totally agree! It's definitely something you have to be ready for. Without a high level of knowledge, a membership club can easily fall through, depending on what it's based on. Some membership groups are simply for accountability or support - but if you're starting one to provide educational value, you should def be prepared. Trust, members won't stay in if they feel they're being scammed. That's the beauty of it - it's not a long term commitment. I did 1 year of FREE small group tutoring and it was successful. I’m now thinking to create a club of the same sorts because as a private tutor I’m turning to many ppl away while I’m training others to tutor for my organization. Having this membership is going to be SO good because I can work with small groups of kids from K-3 grade. This will be introduced in our free parent reading workshops 3/4/2023 so they can become club members.
Love this! Have you thought about doing a more “eLite Eboss” Member status where they pay more a month but they get one on one time with you on a quarterly basis and the call could be for 30 minutes? You could limit the amount of people to join so that you’re not overwhelmed.

Related to what you were saying about being active in one's group--responding to Comments, as you said, for example--listening to you it occurs to me that setting expectations is so helpful to all involved! So, looking at your personal goals, then--how much time you want to put in, how much you want to be on your platform, how complicated you want to get or not get, when you want to be available, how quickly you can respond to input from members while still "honoring" your own boundaries...and then setting the expectations: "I'll be in the membership community twice a week" "Please allow 72 hours for a response from me." etc. And, really, in the process, you're teaching your members that, hey, you can give a lot without giving yourself away, while having the life you actually want to have. Martyrdom not required, promised, or expected!
