When I suggested to my friend group playing this game when it first came out, one of them idiotically said "You play the most random games you know that?" This is a randomly generated game, tf did he expect?
@okay2048 TLDR; rogue nightmare, minus elevation, phighting, skill based boss fights, zeppelin wars, neon knights and battleboards. if you want roguelikes, i recommend rogue nightmare and minus elevation. rogue nightmare has a classic vibe to it, it is a top down roguelike where you can choose a starting class, beat enemies on floors that let you choose cards of items or abilities at the end. you can also find blacksmith floors and later on some bosses. i haven't played it in a long time so i'm can't assure you that it will be the same as said. so you'll have to play it yourself. minus elevation on the other hand is pretty simple. go through floors, press buttons. find items to help you survive and the rest is self explanatory. among some fighting games is phighting which is a very high quality and is like critical strike. many classes with multiple gamemodes. you can also try skill based boss fights which has multiple boss fights which, as said in the name, is skill based. you can also use classes. some other games that i want to put in this list but is lazy to explain are zeppelin wars, neon knights and battleboards.
11:55 And 13:59 - Xero Droids don't actually have a set walkspeed. Xero droids essentially mimic your stats. For example, if you have 18 walkspeed and the Xero Droid agros on you, the Xero Droid's walkspeed will automatically switch to 18. It's so precise that it even jumps when you do. However something that might help you beat Xero Droids is knowing that they wont actually attack you until you hit them. You can get as close as you want and they won't agro until you hit them with anything. This can be a sword, a gun, a bow, you name it. Fighting Xero Droids with higher walkspeed is often times harder because you have less time to react to them and less space to move before you get to a dead end.
actualy no, xeno droids will not be the same as the players, its allways slower then the player, if you were the same speed you would have to walk an straight line at all times to keep your distance and not have him cath up with no hope of making the distance bigger
@@BrineStuff09 yeah, but i actualy think the 3.0 have like 95% of your move speed so you can still have a small wiggle room by going in a straight line, additional fact, modifiers like quick who give extra speed to the droid flat out dont work
Been playing since 2021. I always wanted this game to receive the recognition that it deserves. Truly a hidden gem when I first found it. Ever since then I was fully invested in the gameplay and constantly collecting classes in general.
Massive appreciations for playing! I always see newcomers come and go because the pace/rise of difficulty of the game and it’s nice to see someone who started to play and slowly adapts to the game. ❤
The random berries arent jokes. The virulent berries like you said are not useless. You could look up on the wiki the recepies of potions. You can put potions in the cauldron by making them touch the water when you have them equippeed. The virulent berries could've merged with your vigor to make a strenght potion (im mot sure, i havent played this game in like a year but i got 140K points) which gives you 3 strenght every X the world number. Also the room number you're in tells you which world it is (unless you warped). 1-10 is world one, 11-20 is world two, and so on. If you have the katana, and trying to go for a vault, make sure to pull it out when proggresing through one stage to another. This also counts for jumping over obstacles. There also is another way to get a vault, by not taking any damage. This method is way more reliable, as time to kill all droids vary between each and every room. If you dont read this my heart will shamble... LIKE A SHAMBLER FROM GUTS AND BLACKPOWDER WOO! *mr beast explosion* But in all seriousness you should check out guts and blackpowder on roblox and make a video on it. Highlt reccomended
i'll try this out during my spring break! i'm excited to try this out, this review was really well thought out and i enjoyed watching you play and explain the details of the game.
TYSM FOR PLAYING!! i would love to lecture you on all the tips i have, but we would be here for hours. Anyways, good luck getting a win! Ps- the "bad" berries can be used to make good potions. I suggest looking at the wiki for recipes because laboratories ( the shop with the potion). Are very good! Also xero droids just copy you, all your stats and movements
I like how RGD only becomes a semi-horror game after you start killing friendly droids - using wrath on the boss - warping past the first world - the darkness - RHJvaWQgb2YgVG9tb3Jyb3c= Droid - other stuff
Idk if this was a bug or not but there was this world that i got into by finding a friendly droid in darkness area and the worlds name was: The End." I don't know if its a secret or a bug because i got kicked like 10 seconds after i got there and when i did it again it took me to 1 hp and put me back in the run. It said this: "Are you really that persistent?"
@@victorvirgili4447 still meta progression. true roguelikes have 0 outside game progression. that's why roguelites are (in my opinion) better than roguelikes. and yes, that means practically no game nowadays are roguelikes: risk of rain 2 is a roguelite, same with hades, VS, and here, randomly generated droids (:
I’ve been playing RGD for a while and would like to mention that: 1. Sometimes you should take berries that don’t seem very good because when mixed in a cauldron with another berry can make a really good potion. You should also save good berries because their potion can amplify its effect ex. Vigor Berry(Gain 3 Strength) + Ichor(Take 10 Damage) = Potion of Brawn(Gain strength equal to the world number multiplied by 3) 2. The best way to attack droids most of the time is go in a circle in the same direction and including a bit of zigzagging or sharper turning if the droids are falling behind too much.
By the way, the class shop expands when you win for the first time, and the new classes rely on Crowns, a currency you only get by doing Crown Challenges, which force random rules and class. Friendly Droids drop circuits equal to (world * 5), and unless you can't handle the upcoming rooms with low HP then you should kill friendly droids. The extra circuits can really open up for extra options. Killing three friendly droids found in the shops won't reduce your HP but will trigger Wrath, converting the next world into a dark version of itself and replaces all droid spawns with various dark enemies and the shop room with The Dark One. In return, you get strength equal to half of room number and the Altar has a chance of appearing instead of the usual shops. The items in Altar rooms are quite powerful to say the least, but you will have to pay with HP. Finally, you should expect a special class as a reward for beating all 15 ascensions. It's pretty powerful and lets you warp back a world for every new world in your run given you are in solo and you always warp whenever possible.
A couple fun facts 1. Beating a world without taking damage will turn the 9th room of that world into a vault, which gives you a choice of 1 out of 3 free items or a bunch of circuits. Additionally, beating a world without taking damage for the first time will unlock a new alternate world for future runs. For example, let's say you beat the desert without taking damage; in your next run, the first World might be petal meadows instead of the desert. 2. On most droids that hold swords, instakilling them will cause them to actually drop a sword you can pick up. These swords are usually pretty weak for where you get them, but they give you some pretty nifty abilities like freezing water and immunity to fire when held.
more info on bosses: they spawn at room 100, the last room they normally are super powered versions of already existing droids (ex: R.A.M) once you kill them with a team or solo, you will get an item based off their gimmick (ex: ram horns got by R.A.M) it doesnt matter who kills them, everyone gets the boss badge once you beat the game, you get new classes to buy with a new currency, crowns (i believe) info on droids: the xero droid copies your speed, even if you switch weapons even though hunter droids die easily, dont underestimate their 2.0 versions best weapons: Early game: scaling sword: it does pretty good damage and boosts damage every new world katana: fast crossbow/raygun: good damage and ranged Late game: katana: not great but its strength is fast hammer: damage good later upgrades of crossbow: does very high damage but might run out if you dont use ranger later upgrades of raygun: does not as high damage but can add more bullets over time my favorite class: banker: (MONEY SOUND) HERE BE TREASURE (CHA CHING) MONEY MONEY (mr krabs death sound) edit: crowns dont come from beating the game, they come from beating crown challenges. they're called blasters, not rayguns (yea i know what a hyperlaser is but idc). the bosses appear after droid HQ, not at room 100.
More info about crowns. They come from Crown Challenges which are randomly generated modified challenges with a set class boss and ascension level. They also have self-explained rules.
Bosses spawn at the end of world 10 also known as droids hq not room 100 because you can warp it would not make sense to have overclocker at the end of pedo meadow or maybe that’s how embers hedge was made there called hyper lasers not raygun
@@Johnno-on8zj yea (Also I wasn't talking about hyperlaser when I said raygun, I MEANT that the later versions of ray gun are good, and yes hyperlaser do be good but still Also about room 100, I was wrong about that, but I also wasn't saying that it would spawn before droid HQ, sorry i guess lol)
tip for newer players: the arms and torso actually count as separate hitboxes for swords, so you can flick your camera left and right to hit all three in a single lunge to deal around three times as much damage. most veteran players are able to do it very accurately while kiting droids, but dont worry if you cant get the hang of it as it’s a skill that comes mostly with practice (you might want to turn sensitivity up a tiny amount so your mouse isnt flying across the table) also, to clarify a few things mentioned in the video: 1: there are 4 shop types you can encounter normally in a run: laboratories, which contain a cauldron, potions, and berries; forges, which contain an anvil and gemstones; libraries, which contain a lectern, spells, and tomes; and the regular shop. each run will have a weight of one of these types of shops (normal shop not included), meaning that type is more likely to spawn during the run. (for example, if you see four laboratories in the first six worlds, you likely have a lab weight for that run.) 2: yes it may be a bad idea to kill friendly droids as they set your health to 20 (halving it if your health is less than 40 instead) but keep in mind that they drop circuits equal to 5 times the world number on death. if you think you can tank it, feel free to kill them for extra circuits. the only other penalty is that killing three shopkeeper friendlies (not ones that spawn in other rooms) will cause the next world to be replaced by a secret world with powerful droids and a secret boss. killing this boss awards strength equal to half the room number and allows altars to spawn throughout the run, which replace shops. in altars, you can exchange health for powerful sin items, which award massive stat boosts or other effects than can make the run a cakewalk. i’d recommend at least 17 walk speed for challenging the Dark One since most droids in his world are quite fast. keep in mind that runs cannot have altar weight.
Nice video! If you want to keep playing this game, here’s some tips. Try to get a ranged weapon to deal with hunter droids. Hunters have a 5x ranged weakness, so blasters can easily kill them (you can also jump on their head) Gems aren’t really an item that you can save. You can’t guarantee another shop to be a forge (ones with anvils) Berries can make potions (using cauldrons) Such as the one you called useless (virulent) can be combined with a Theriac berry to make potion of regeneration. In general, potions are much more powerful than berries. You can check the wiki for recipes. You can kill three shop friendly droids to activate the darkness. This can allow you to get bat wing (which gives strength) and sin items (which are very powerful) in altars and vaults. Wrath, in particular, can one shot a boss on singleplayer and not on ascension 15 (ascensions basically just make the game harder)
the difficulty increases from ascension and unlocking crowns is a whole big awakening as the number of available classes seems to double. oh and if you kill 3 shopkeepers in one run you get a silly little secret (;
Man, thanks to you i decided to replay this amazing game. It's fun! even if the classes that you grind are ""bad"" they're fun and interesting. I see lot's of people complaining about ninja, brawler and survivor being better than the rest, but honestly? i find it amazing, it's beginner friendly in terms of using classes, since you don't need to think much about the abilities, but also because of how they work it allows the player to focus more on the enemies and mechanics in the beginning which is important for future runs. And also, some badges unlock items for future runs! or even alternative worlds Hint 1: If you no-hit a world you will unlock it's alternative world (You can disable alternative worlds in settings, BUT you can still unlock them even if you disabled them from appearing, which is something that i LOVE from this game) Hint 2: If you beat a boss for the first time in normal mode or ascension you unlock an item from that boss
brawler is actually one of the better classes in the game (cant say the same for survivalist though) brawler’s strength gain makes it so you dont need to buy swords as often and overall just deal a lot more damage (plus the 25 healing on its Q in case you want to kill shopkeepers for circuit gain or killing the dark one for even more strength)
Once you complete the game (beat floor 100), you get crown challenges, theres a new one everyday. theres 3 modifiers, a class, and a boss, the class can be one you dont own. Also, you can either speedrun or no-hit a world, no hittng unlocks a alt world. Last tip, killing friendly droids gives you circuits equal to 5x the world number, but sets your hp to 20, the shopkeepers give circuits equal to half the room number, set your hp to 20 AND does something secret when you kill three, also go in the settings for additional stat to get shown, ive played awhile and i know alot about the game.
yay rgd gets more recognition the other 2 games in frame at 0:03 (Combat Initiation and PHIGHTING!) are also really good games you should try if you haven't already. Combat Initiation is like a wave survival ULTRAKILL and PHIGHTING! is a 5v5 class based fighter.
I love rgd and it always makes me happy to know that the game is receiving attention, I hope it blows up someday because it deserves it (but it probably won’t because it’s not exactly the type of game that appeals to the majority of Roblox’s audience).
9:50 someone would want a berry like that because its used in healing potions, virulent + theriac gives regeneration (I havent played in a little while). while in a run you can run !dictionary to view an encyclopedia. Also press f9 to view status on challenge runs.
If you take no damage in a world you get a free vault and unlock a new world that has a chance to appear instead of the one you survived on and usually gives more circuits but is also harder, i believe at world 3 after you defeat both lush canopy and fungal forest without taking damage you unlock a boss fight
hate to be 'that guy' but uhh 1: vaults, can be obtained for beating a world no-hit and speedrun. i believe the formula for speedrun time is (world number+1)*30 2: berries, can be made into potions, most are very good (swiftness, warping, regen) but some are uhhh, alright.... (sustaining, chance, ice res) 3: alt worlds, unlocked by no-hitting a world. can be disabled but if not, random chance to get one over main world (unless if you spend money for world selector, best gamepass imo) 4: badge items, items can be unlocked through badges obtained by beating bosses and doing challenges (example: reach room 200, no-hit a run, beat a15, beat the game in under 15m) 5: cc's and ac's, daily challenges with a random class, 3 modifiers and a random ascencion, advanced challenges includes a very bad modifier, not found in the normal modifier pool, both give crowns for previous event classes 6: ascencions, gamemode unlocked by winning the previous, 15 of them, each modifier stacking and getting slightly more difficult 7: special stats, luck block and vitality can be revealed in settings 8: tdo, kill 3 shopkeepers to go to the fun dimension :DDDDD
Flammable droids are droids that have fire weaknesses. Freezable droids are droids have ice weakness. I'm sure you've looked at them to figure out by now but I still wanted to mention it. Love this game, love this video :)
Y O O O pro tips: !dictionary opens a wiki of most of the stuff in the game you can use the "useless berries" to make potions by putting 2 berries in a pot. there are around 20 potions you can make, with different recipes. laboratories typically have one in the center, and sell berries instead of items. switch droids teleport behind you, with the higher variants doing so way faster.
You forgot about variations of worlds, here’s what i mean. If you to beat sandy canyon without taking ANY damage, you get an variation of sandy canyon. Spoiler! You unlock petal peaks, I think it’s called that. The map is changed and it gets a new gimmick. In petal peaks the gimmick is seeds that give you buffs, some maps have their own droid! For mount whirl the alternate is Stone Sanctuary! Also a thing about classes is that expensive ones aren’t really better than cheap ones! They just provide a fun perspective and gameplay of this game! I use brawler, even though I have some expensive ones!
I love RGD! I recently subscribed from your hunt video, and I'm glad to see more people playing it! It also got an update about a week after you uploaded this video, so you can check out the new stuff!
Some tips for cyro droids: zoom out your camera so you can see the icicles, vigilante droids and hunter droids don't deal damage from the head so you can just stand on them.
You can say !dictionary and see what all the droids do once you beat the boss alot of classes unlock for a new currency called crowns you need to complete crown challenges to get them there are also extra/special maps
Hey, I play this game a lot, if you want, I can show you more of the game, also, you made a bit of a mistake on xero droids, they copy your stats when you hit them but -1 walkspeed, so when you hit them with katana, they gained all of that walkspeed and you were using a weak weapon for that world.
some tips: completing a world also gives you a vault and sometimes gives you an alternate world (in runs, theres a chance youll be in a normal world or an alt world if you obtain it) say !dictionary while playing a run to learn more about droids and modifiers the vigilante droids in mechtropolis only deal damage if you touch the knives, you can jump on hunter droid heads because you wont take damage dont eat all of the berries so you can make potions (potion of warping, brawn, etc) kill 3 shopkeepers to go to darkness. if you complete darkness you have a chance to change a shop for an altar where you can exchange health for sins
if u complete a world without taking damage, you will get a free item in vault and you will unlock their alternative world which are sandy canyon-petal meadow mount whirl-stone sanctuary lush canopy-fungal jungle violent volcano-gingerbread galaciers elemental heights-cosmic cliff crystaline caves-overpower plant mechtropolis-midnight casino and final alternative, atomic factory-skytop citadel u should try to explore them, it will appear in your run sometimes
If you didn’t know this if you take no damage in a world, you get the same bonus item selection as you do from beating a world quickly. They are called vaults. Very good to go for if you are good enough
Also something to note stall runs are runs where you need someone to have transcendence or unbelievable luck to get so many warp shells/warp potions and some stuff is quite op as some items stack (double chezburger) for the next stat gain and with 16x you eat a rainbow candy and boom 999 defense 999 health yap yap
This game has its own index ingame its a command. Also can you try out this underrated game. Its call Heretic squad its like a rougelike beat them up game where you ( not recommended ) or a group of 3 other people / friends to fights the cultists and other evils and every time you won the mission difficulty will increase and when you level up you can choose a trait and you get money for each mission completed and you csn use it to buy items , armour , belt / movement option , gloves and hats to improve your build. Its highly recommended to do the tutorial to learn the basics the rest is up to you to learn. Goodluck heretic ( if you actually played the game )
There are so many tiny additions to this game that truly make this game special. I'm going to list stuff that you probably can use to help yourself during gameplay or just dumb little secrets. If you don't want any spoilers of the game and want to discover it blind then don't click the "read more" button. -If you complete a world without taking any damage, not only you get to a vault but also unlock alternate words that replace the original ones; there are 12 of them as of update 1.8.0. -If you manage to beat a game, you unlock crown challenges; crown challenges are daily challenges that alter the game in unique ways, beating them earns you crowns. You can also play advanced challenges, which increase the difficulty by a significant amount. -You get a badge for eating pizza -If you type "!dictionary" on during a game and press enter, then an actual dictionary pops up and gives you all the information you need for every single droid type/boss as well as the modifiers. -Beating a game unlocks ascensions, which increase the difficulty accordingly; so if you play on normal mode, you unlock ascension 1 after beating it, if you beat ascension 1, then you unlock ascension 2, and so on. -There is something called "hidden stats" that are just less relevant stats that also affect your gameplay. (you can trigger these on the menu. -You can make it so that the game taunts you after you die
Hey, I just wanted to tell you 2 things: 1: the "xero" droids match your walkspeed when you hit them, so increasing your walkspeed just makes them harder. 2: you mentioned vaults and how you can beat a world fast to get a free item, but you can also get a vault by taking no damage.
some things about this game there is an option for hidden stats xero droids set their walkspeed and jump power to 90% of yours certain modifiers set droid weaknesses (flammable= fire weakness freezable= ice weakness fragile= ranged weakness) some droids have weaknesses by default you can do !dictionary in game (not lobby) to pull up a panel where you can get information on a specific enemy, stats, and modifiers if you kill 3 shopkeepers something happens if you no hit a world you will get a vault and permanently unlock an alternate world (there is also a setting to disable alt worlds) beating the game once will unlock daily challenges and ascension levels beating all 15 ascension levels unlocks a special class you can unlock certain items by earning badges blacksmith shops will always sell gems and utility items labs will always sell berries libraries will always have spells normal shops will sell consumables
If found it too but i thought it was pretty boring in my opinion but i do like the retro simplicity of it. Maybe i will gove it another try cuz i didnt really understand it.
it's a good game but I wonder if you know about ascensions and about altars, the secret worlds and stuff Once you beat normal mode it really starts adding difficulty and I really like ascensions for that reason but nice video
hello gamma i saw this video late.i wanted to give you some tips for the droid called ''Xero droid'' this droids copies your speed sometimes it can outrun ya if your not careful.i have 242 wins in this game currently
DearRoblox class Start the game with Envy. AB1: Comparison [/8] - If 5x the damage of any droid in the room is higher than your strength, gain strength equal to 5x their damage for 8 seconds. AB2: Thief of Joy [/30] - Halve the damage, walkspeed, and jumppower of all enemies. Gain that much strength, walkspeed, and jumppower respectively.
i saw another comment with tips for the game so heres some more! first of all, flick your camera when attacking. the more limbs you hit the more damage you do. second of all just like the other comment said, kill 3 friendly droids (it has to be shopkeeper ones) to activate the darkness/wrath (it will make everything dark and say a meesage at the top of the screen), all the droids are replaced with sort of dark variants, here are some explanations on what they do and how to deal with them (btw all of them deal a ton of damage) the phantom:a tanky slow enemy, just circle around them and lunge stats: walkspeed: 14 health: 75 x world number the corrupted:a slightly faster and less tanky phantom droid, instead of circling try running away instead stats: walkspeed: 16 (base walkspeed) health: 50 x world number the corporeal (i hate it): a fast low health droid that has a large chance to respawn after death, RUN AWAY FOR YOUR DEAR LIFE AND HIT IT IF YOU DONT WANT TO DIE stats: walkspeed: 20 health: 15 x world number the fallen: a slow-ish enemy which teleports behind you every ~1 second, circle around it and pray to god you dont get cornered stats: walkspeed: 14 health: 50 x world number the shadow: a slow enemy which is invulnerable, doesnt need to be defeated to progress stats: walkspeed: 3 health: 1, if summoned via mystery button or crown challenge will dissapear after 10 rooms and finally the dark one: the boss after beating all the rooms before, it is pretty fast and tanky, try to circle around the arena and deal as much damage as possible to it before it summons too many enemies, drops the bat wing which gives 5 x world nunber strength (needed to be picked up and used to progress, failure to do so will make it go to hell) can be cheesed with circuit cannon or flashlight its ability: stop for a second to summon some enemies (summons a shadow every time, shadows get increasingly faster each summon of them, capping out at 21 speed. try to kill the boss before the 21 speed shadow.) will additionally summon a corrupted or a phantom stats: walkspeed: 15 health: 1000 x world number every enemy in the darkness/wrath has a ☀️ weakness killing friendly droids will set your hp to 20, if its under around 30 it will half your hp. this damage can be negated with friendly immunity and will not count as taking a hit and last of all: using mega magnet on the circuit breaker boss gives you 1000 circuits and turns it into a gunner droid welp time to watch the 13 minutes of the video that are left if you have any questions reply to this comment and if i see them ( i probably wont ngl) i will try to help you best i can
i am currently at 5:55, beating the world quickly (35 seconds + 10 x world number) will get you into a vault at the ninth room of the world, although this isnt the only way to get to a vault, it is the one that requires the least skill the other way is no hitting a world vaults are a free item, if sins are unlocked then it will be guaranteed to have one in the second slot it is guaranteed to have a golden circuit which gives half the room number of circuits and is lost on world change
yeah, that’s why it’s good to have roguelikes in rotation! I like this one more than usual cause of procedural generation and a lot of difficulty in worlds to climb. I get what you mean if you’ve been playing it for a long time though!
@@GammaYT_I reccomend you beat the game btw. The final world is absolutely insane Also don’t use katana in late game please it’s such a bad idea Also-also xero droids only attack if attacked, and copy your walk speed closely (faster walk speed = harder)
I play this game a decent amount, and watch a lot a videos on it, so something I want to tell you is that Xero droids copy your walkspeed, which is why they are so fast, considering you use a speed based class.
For a ton of info say !dictionary in a run. In settings turn on specisl stats to see your vitality which lets you heal more block which blocks luck self explanatory and wrath which fills up each shopkeeper you kill.
yo gamma, this roguelike has a dictionary, if u complete a map fast enough or take no damage you get a vault, say !dictionary while in a match to get the dictionary of all the droids
YES someone talked about this after not playing deepwoken for like 3 weeks which you should also talk about or rogue lineage but this game is really fun
Ok I know you are new to the game but you missed a LOT OF THINGS so as someone with every point class and 100k points leftover, here ya go Crown challenges - unlocked after beating normal mode, used to unlock crown classes Bosses - every normal run ends with a boss. There’s like 5 and you fight one randomly selected Xero droids - they mimic your walk speed closely, or exactly at 3.0 Switch droids - their teleport isn’t rng, they always teleport a few studs behind you. He teleported on top of you because you were up against a wall Dictionary - typing !dictionary in a game gives you information about literally everything in the game Alt worlds - unlocked by no-hitting a world, 50/50 chance to replace it Hunter cheese - Hunter droid’s hat does no damage so just stand on it and shoot it with a ranged projectile, since they take about 4X damage from ranged projectiles LIKE THIS COMMENT SO HE SEES IT B)
More of a chill gameplay video this time :)

@okay2048
TLDR; rogue nightmare, minus elevation, phighting, skill based boss fights, zeppelin wars, neon knights and battleboards.
if you want roguelikes, i recommend rogue nightmare and minus elevation. rogue nightmare has a classic vibe to it, it is a top down roguelike where you can choose a starting class, beat enemies on floors that let you choose cards of items or abilities at the end. you can also find blacksmith floors and later on some bosses. i haven't played it in a long time so i'm can't assure you that it will be the same as said. so you'll have to play it yourself. minus elevation on the other hand is pretty simple. go through floors, press buttons. find items to help you survive and the rest is self explanatory. among some fighting games is phighting which is a very high quality and is like critical strike. many classes with multiple gamemodes. you can also try skill based boss fights which has multiple boss fights which, as said in the name, is skill based. you can also use classes. some other games that i want to put in this list but is lazy to explain are zeppelin wars, neon knights and battleboards.

Massive appreciations for playing! I always see newcomers come and go because the pace/rise of difficulty of the game and it’s nice to see someone who started to play and slowly adapts to the game. ❤
I loved the game's premise and played it for definitely over 2 years but I quit recently.
Wow this guy is so cool i hope he will get a heart from the creator because this guy is so epic
actually vigor + ichor makes brawn.
@@Edderson_Studios4329 like i said, i havent this game in a year, so i forgot
i'll try this out during my spring break! i'm excited to try this out, this review was really well thought out and i enjoyed watching you play and explain the details of the game.
Started playing this game a few months before you made this video.. and fell in love instantly. hope to see the game get more attraction!
Also xero droids just copy you, all your stats and movements
...It's just the movement stats. No other stuff copied. It copies 90% of your walkspeed and 100% of your jumppower, jumps when you jump.
@@quackster3220 Then why didn't you specify speed?
I like how RGD only becomes a semi-horror game after you start killing friendly droids
- using wrath on the boss
- warping past the first world
- the darkness
- RHJvaWQgb2YgVG9tb3Jyb3c= Droid
- other stuff
what about that error world with that yshygsysgyhswkwiksks= droid too
@@sandwichroblox You mean the astray and respite?
@@diazzzz_jj no it was something else (probably removed) from the video exploring the mystery of world 0
Idk if this was a bug or not but there was this world that i got into by finding a friendly droid in darkness area and the worlds name was: The End." I don't know if its a secret or a bug because i got kicked like 10 seconds after i got there and when i did it again it took me to 1 hp and put me back in the run. @@sandwichroblox and THAT is the old respite
FINALLY this gets some recognition! ive been playing for awhile, and always noticed this game hasn’t got any popularity. thanks for making the video!
RGD is the only* Roblox Roguelike that's actually a Roguelike by definition. It's awesome.
🤓☝️Urmmm actually it’s a roguelite because it has meta progression
But there’s also hours which is also a roguelite
W I ain't the only one to stick up for mah boi hours
Gambler is best class
@@orangeblanket7181does it REALLY have meta progression if the only thing you unlock are more starting options?
@@victorvirgili4447 still meta progression. true roguelikes have 0 outside game progression. that's why roguelites are (in my opinion) better than roguelikes.
and yes, that means practically no game nowadays are roguelikes: risk of rain 2 is a roguelite, same with hades, VS, and here, randomly generated droids (:
Yes!!!! Another person who enjoys and knows rgd!
Id recommend dummies versus noobs, although it isnt recieving updates, its still nice
I agree with you too!
I’ve been playing RGD for a while and would like to mention that:
1. Sometimes you should take berries that don’t seem very good because when mixed in a cauldron with another berry can make a really good potion. You should also save good berries because their potion can amplify its effect ex. Vigor Berry(Gain 3 Strength) + Ichor(Take 10 Damage) = Potion of Brawn(Gain strength equal to the world number multiplied by 3)
Makes me remember spelunky HD where I always kill shopkeepers
A couple fun facts
I've known about this game for years nice to see someone actually play it
I can suggest a very underrated game,it's called HOURS and its kinda like Randomly Generated Droids in the sense that it's quite old robloxy.
The badges at the start of the video are from hours
more info on bosses:
they spawn at room 100, the last room
they normally are super powered versions of already existing droids (ex: R.A.M)
once you kill them with a team or solo, you will get an item based off their gimmick (ex: ram horns got by R.A.M)
it doesnt matter who kills them, everyone gets the boss badge
once you beat the game, you get new classes to buy with a new currency, crowns (i believe)
info on droids:
the xero droid copies your speed, even if you switch weapons
even though hunter droids die easily, dont underestimate their 2.0 versions
best weapons:
Early game:
scaling sword: it does pretty good damage and boosts damage every new world
katana: fast
crossbow/raygun: good damage and ranged
Late game:
katana: not great but its strength is fast
hammer: damage good
later upgrades of crossbow: does very high damage but might run out if you dont use ranger
later upgrades of raygun: does not as high damage but can add more bullets over time
my favorite class:
banker: (MONEY SOUND) HERE BE TREASURE (CHA CHING) MONEY MONEY (mr krabs death sound)
edit: crowns dont come from beating the game, they come from beating crown challenges. they're called blasters, not rayguns (yea i know what a hyperlaser is but idc). the bosses appear after droid HQ, not at room 100.
@@Johnno-on8zj yea
(Also I wasn't talking about hyperlaser when I said raygun, I MEANT that the later versions of ray gun are good, and yes hyperlaser do be good but still
Also about room 100, I was wrong about that, but I also wasn't saying that it would spawn before droid HQ, sorry i guess lol)
@@Johnno-on8zj True
tip for newer players: the arms and torso actually count as separate hitboxes for swords, so you can flick your camera left and right to hit all three in a single lunge to deal around three times as much damage. most veteran players are able to do it very accurately while kiting droids, but dont worry if you cant get the hang of it as it’s a skill that comes mostly with practice (you might want to turn sensitivity up a tiny amount so your mouse isnt flying across the table)
also, to clarify a few things mentioned in the video:
1: there are 4 shop types you can encounter normally in a run: laboratories, which contain a cauldron, potions, and berries; forges, which contain an anvil and gemstones; libraries, which contain a lectern, spells, and tomes; and the regular shop. each run will have a weight of one of these types of shops (normal shop not included), meaning that type is more likely to spawn during the run. (for example, if you see four laboratories in the first six worlds, you likely have a lab weight for that run.)
2: yes it may be a bad idea to kill friendly droids as they set your health to 20 (halving it if your health is less than 40 instead) but keep in mind that they drop circuits equal to 5 times the world number on death. if you think you can tank it, feel free to kill them for extra circuits. the only other penalty is that killing three shopkeeper friendlies (not ones that spawn in other rooms) will cause the next world to be replaced by a secret world with powerful droids and a secret boss. killing this boss awards strength equal to half the room number and allows altars to spawn throughout the run, which replace shops. in altars, you can exchange health for powerful sin items, which award massive stat boosts or other effects than can make the run a cakewalk. i’d recommend at least 17 walk speed for challenging the Dark One since most droids in his world are quite fast. keep in mind that runs cannot have altar weight.
Nice video! If you want to keep playing this game, here’s some tips.
Try to get a ranged weapon to deal with hunter droids. Hunters have a 5x ranged weakness, so blasters can easily kill them (you can also jump on their head)
Gems aren’t really an item that you can save. You can’t guarantee another shop to be a forge (ones with anvils)
Berries can make potions (using cauldrons) Such as the one you called useless (virulent) can be combined with a Theriac berry to make potion of regeneration.
Also Xero droids copy 90% of your walkspeed when you hit it. So don’t use a katana or else you cannot switch back to your strong sword.
Nah it just doesn't work on any ascension (and multi player)
@minitimert5937 Also I mean unless u on xbox u can prob switch it your swords quick enough if u are fast enough.
*Virulent and fervor not Virulent and theriac
i love rgd nice to see another person enjoying it
the difficulty increases from ascension and unlocking crowns is a whole big awakening as the number of available classes seems to double. oh and if you kill 3 shopkeepers in one run you get a silly little secret (;
And also, some badges unlock items for future runs! or even alternative worlds
Hint 1: If you no-hit a world you will unlock it's alternative world (You can disable alternative worlds in settings, BUT you can still unlock them even if you disabled them from appearing, which is something that i LOVE from this game)
Hint 2: If you beat a boss for the first time in normal mode or ascension you unlock an item from that boss
brawler is actually one of the better classes in the game (cant say the same for survivalist though)
brawler’s strength gain makes it so you dont need to buy swords as often and overall just deal a lot more damage (plus the 25 healing on its Q in case you want to kill shopkeepers for circuit gain or killing the dark one for even more strength)
I have been waiting for someone to promote this underrated game
Once you complete the game (beat floor 100), you get crown challenges, theres a new one everyday. theres 3 modifiers, a class, and a boss, the class can be one you dont own. Also, you can either speedrun or no-hit a world, no hittng unlocks a alt world. Last tip, killing friendly droids gives you circuits equal to 5x the world number, but sets your hp to 20, the shopkeepers give circuits equal to half the room number, set your hp to 20 AND does something secret when you kill three, also go in the settings for additional stat to get shown, ive played awhile and i know alot about the game.
yay rgd gets more recognition
the other 2 games in frame at 0:03 (Combat Initiation and PHIGHTING!) are also really good games you should try if you haven't already.
Combat Initiation is like a wave survival ULTRAKILL and PHIGHTING! is a 5v5 class based fighter.
Transcended mains saying a overused joke about how Transcended mains explaining why reaching room 10000 is fun:
it's fun when you get wrath sword and can just destroy everything
I love rgd and it always makes me happy to know that the game is receiving attention, I hope it blows up someday because it deserves it (but it probably won’t because it’s not exactly the type of game that appeals to the majority of Roblox’s audience).
This is an example of how the game is strategic. You have to decide either to use it on your current sword, or use it later in the game. 8:01
Also btw at 11:00 switcher droids always teleport directly behind you but if there’s an object behind you it’ll spawn closer to you
And 11:54 Xero droids adjust to your walkspeed they are always 1 speed under your walkspeed
RGD WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(btw once you get a win, you unlock some new classes in the shops c: )
9:50 someone would want a berry like that because its used in healing potions, virulent + theriac gives regeneration (I havent played in a little while).
while in a run you can run !dictionary to view an encyclopedia.
Also press f9 to view status on challenge runs.
If you take no damage in a world you get a free vault and unlock a new world that has a chance to appear instead of the one you survived on and usually gives more circuits but is also harder, i believe at world 3 after you defeat both lush canopy and fungal forest without taking damage you unlock a boss fight
Fun fact: Xero droids will copy all your stats. They will not attack you until you attack them.
You have a really calming voice. I like the way you narrate the video
Wait until he finds out about the Gavvvon lore
im associated with hours im not saying in what way but when i saw its achievements and it made me smile
You should watch the RGD speedruns, they go insane.
hate to be 'that guy' but uhh
1: vaults, can be obtained for beating a world no-hit and speedrun. i believe the formula for speedrun time is (world number+1)*30
2: berries, can be made into potions, most are very good (swiftness, warping, regen) but some are uhhh, alright.... (sustaining, chance, ice res)
3: alt worlds, unlocked by no-hitting a world. can be disabled but if not, random chance to get one over main world (unless if you spend money for world selector, best gamepass imo)
4: badge items, items can be unlocked through badges obtained by beating bosses and doing challenges (example: reach room 200, no-hit a run, beat a15, beat the game in under 15m)
5: cc's and ac's, daily challenges with a random class, 3 modifiers and a random ascencion, advanced challenges includes a very bad modifier, not found in the normal modifier pool, both give crowns for previous event classes
6: ascencions, gamemode unlocked by winning the previous, 15 of them, each modifier stacking and getting slightly more difficult
7: special stats, luck block and vitality can be revealed in settings
8: tdo, kill 3 shopkeepers to go to the fun dimension :DDDDD
Flammable droids are droids that have fire weaknesses. Freezable droids are droids have ice weakness. I'm sure you've looked at them to figure out by now but I still wanted to mention it. Love this game, love this video :)
Y O O O
pro tips: !dictionary opens a wiki of most of the stuff in the game
you can use the "useless berries" to make potions by putting 2 berries in a pot. there are around 20 potions you can make, with different recipes. laboratories typically have one in the center, and sell berries instead of items.
switch droids teleport behind you, with the higher variants doing so way faster.
Petal meadows but yeah
They are a new player don't except them to know about alt worlds.
I love RGD! I recently subscribed from your hunt video, and I'm glad to see more people playing it! It also got an update about a week after you uploaded this video, so you can check out the new stuff!
im so happy to be reccomended this
the combat kinda felt unresponsive to me, but i can understand why people would enjoy if
I started playing this game in 2022 I think, and i just loved this game ever since. really fun.
Glad you like the game!
Hey, I play this game a lot, if you want, I can show you more of the game, also, you made a bit of a mistake on xero droids, they copy your stats when you hit them but -1 walkspeed, so when you hit them with katana, they gained all of that walkspeed and you were using a weak weapon for that world.
most underrated roblox youtuber out there
No way you played this game, I love it a lot.
(Maybe try Phighting next but it’s kinda chaotic)
some tips:
completing a world also gives you a vault and sometimes gives you an alternate world (in runs, theres a chance youll be in a normal world or an alt world if you obtain it)
say !dictionary while playing a run to learn more about droids and modifiers
the vigilante droids in mechtropolis only deal damage if you touch the knives, you can jump on hunter droid heads because you wont take damage
dont eat all of the berries so you can make potions (potion of warping, brawn, etc)
kill 3 shopkeepers to go to darkness. if you complete darkness you have a chance to change a shop for an altar where you can exchange health for sins
It's if you complete the world hitless but yeah
a video on randomly generated droids is a rare sight to see
I have some on my yt channel.
Just so you know xero droids are copying your speed so their speed is always the same as yours. Nice vid❤ also try playing "decaying winter"
They only copy 90% of your speed. (except Xero 3.0)
I really like this game as well I hope you keep playing
Fun fact: theres more than just those classes in the shop, if you beat a round and get to the ascension levels you will unlock crown classes
I hope people find this video and play this game more often because it looks very fun
This game is really sick, i like that you like it. You should also try Hours if you haven't yet its also really fun.

the game next to randomly generated droids in the Recommended Experiences, combat initiation, is also very good it’s a fun and well built game
if u complete a world without taking damage, you will get a free item in vault and you will unlock their alternative world which are
sandy canyon-petal meadow
mount whirl-stone sanctuary
lush canopy-fungal jungle
violent volcano-gingerbread galaciers
elemental heights-cosmic cliff
crystaline caves-overpower plant
mechtropolis-midnight casino
and final alternative,atomic factory-skytop citadel
u should try to explore them, it will appear in your run sometimes
-You get a badge for eating pizza
-If you type "!dictionary" on during a game and press enter, then an actual dictionary pops up and gives you all the information you need for every single droid type/boss as well as the modifiers.
-You can make it so that the game taunts you after you die
quick tip: xero droids actually mimic your walkspeed up to a certain percentage, so if you're really fast, it will be really fast.
Hey, I just wanted to tell you 2 things:
1: the "xero" droids match your walkspeed when you hit them, so increasing your walkspeed just makes them harder.
2: you mentioned vaults and how you can beat a world fast to get a free item, but you can also get a vault by taking no damage.
xero droids dont fully copy, the high the tier the closer they get to fully copying
@thatfunnyminer seems that 2.0 and 3.0 copy 100% of the player speed, but for the xero you would be correct.

Theres a fangame of it called randomly generated humans. There are 2 teams, droids and humans. Its randomly generated droids but pvp
some things about this game
there is an option for hidden stats
xero droids set their walkspeed and jump power to 90% of yours
certain modifiers set droid weaknesses (flammable= fire weakness freezable= ice weakness fragile= ranged weakness)
some droids have weaknesses by default
you can do !dictionary in game (not lobby) to pull up a panel where you can get information on a specific enemy, stats, and modifiers
if you kill 3 shopkeepers something happens
if you no hit a world you will get a vault and permanently unlock an alternate world (there is also a setting to disable alt worlds)
beating the game once will unlock daily challenges and ascension levels
beating all 15 ascension levels unlocks a special class
you can unlock certain items by earning badges
blacksmith shops will always sell gems and utility items
labs will always sell berries
libraries will always have spells
normal shops will sell consumables
If found it too but i thought it was pretty boring in my opinion but i do like the retro simplicity of it. Maybe i will gove it another try cuz i didnt really understand it.
Honestly this game is the peak of "I have nothing to play so i will play the same thing 500 times until i get everything unlocked"
do midnight horrors next pretty please :)
also now im addicted to randomly generated droids
it's a good game but I wonder if you know about ascensions and about altars, the secret worlds and stuff
Once you beat normal mode it really starts adding difficulty and I really like ascensions for that reason but nice video

Start the game with Envy.
AB1: Comparison [/8] - If 5x the damage of any droid in the room is higher than your strength, gain strength equal to 5x their damage for 8 seconds.
AB2: Thief of Joy [/30] - Halve the damage, walkspeed, and jumppower of all enemies. Gain that much strength, walkspeed, and jumppower respectively.

i saw another comment with tips for the game so heres some more!
first of all, flick your camera when attacking. the more limbs you hit the more damage you do.
second of all just like the other comment said, kill 3 friendly droids (it has to be shopkeeper ones) to activate the darkness/wrath (it will make everything dark and say a meesage at the top of the screen), all the droids are replaced with sort of dark variants, here are some explanations on what they do and how to deal with them
(btw all of them deal a ton of damage)
the phantom:a tanky slow enemy, just circle around them and lunge
stats: walkspeed: 14
health: 75 x world number
the corrupted:a slightly faster and less tanky phantom droid, instead of circling try running away instead
stats: walkspeed: 16 (base walkspeed)
health: 50 x world number
the corporeal (i hate it): a fast low health droid that has a large chance to respawn after death, RUN AWAY FOR YOUR DEAR LIFE AND HIT IT IF YOU DONT WANT TO DIE
stats: walkspeed: 20
health: 15 x world number
the fallen: a slow-ish enemy which teleports behind you every ~1 second, circle around it and pray to god you dont get cornered
stats: walkspeed: 14
health: 50 x world number
the shadow: a slow enemy which is invulnerable, doesnt need to be defeated to progress
stats: walkspeed: 3
health: 1, if summoned via mystery button or crown challenge will dissapear after 10 rooms
and finally the dark one: the boss after beating all the rooms before, it is pretty fast and tanky, try to circle around the arena and deal as much damage as possible to it before it summons too many enemies, drops the bat wing which gives 5 x world nunber strength (needed to be picked up and used to progress, failure to do so will make it go to hell)
can be cheesed with circuit cannon or flashlight
its ability: stop for a second to summon some enemies (summons a shadow every time, shadows get increasingly faster each summon of them, capping out at 21 speed. try to kill the boss before the 21 speed shadow.) will additionally summon a corrupted or a phantom
stats: walkspeed: 15
health: 1000 x world number
every enemy in the darkness/wrath has a ☀️ weakness
killing friendly droids will set your hp to 20, if its under around 30 it will half your hp. this damage can be negated with friendly immunity and will not count as taking a hit
and last of all: using mega magnet on the circuit breaker boss gives you 1000 circuits and turns it into a gunner droid
welp time to watch the 13 minutes of the video that are left
if you have any questions reply to this comment and if i see them ( i probably wont ngl) i will try to help you best i can
after i finish the video i will reply to this and add some tips and tricks that i missed
i am currently at 5:55, beating the world quickly (35 seconds + 10 x world number) will get you into a vault at the ninth room of the world, although this isnt the only way to get to a vault, it is the one that requires the least skill
the other way is no hitting a world
vaults are a free item, if sins are unlocked then it will be guaranteed to have one in the second slot
it is guaranteed to have a golden circuit which gives half the room number of circuits and is lost on world change
10:02 there is actually a secret… thing you unlock by killing friendly droids. I won’t spoil too much here.
RGD is super fun, but with any roguelike out there, burnout really hits.
yeah, that’s why it’s good to have roguelikes in rotation! I like this one more than usual cause of procedural generation and a lot of difficulty in worlds to climb. I get what you mean if you’ve been playing it for a long time though!
@@GammaYT_I reccomend you beat the game btw. The final world is absolutely insane
Also don’t use katana in late game please it’s such a bad idea
Also-also xero droids only attack if attacked, and copy your walk speed closely (faster walk speed = harder)
I played this game like 3 times, really cool
This actually looks really fun ima have to play it with a few friends
Tysm for the suggestion i will definitely try it out
I play this game a decent amount, and watch a lot a videos on it, so something I want to tell you is that Xero droids copy your walkspeed, which is why they are so fast, considering you use a speed based class.
very smart by me lol
6:05 roughly you can also get vaults by no hitting
For a ton of info say !dictionary in a run. In settings turn on specisl stats to see your vitality which lets you heal more block which blocks luck self explanatory and wrath which fills up each shopkeeper you kill.
OH MY GOD SOMEONE’S FINALLY TALKING ABOUT IT
You can also take a free item from the vault by not taking damage in a world.
yo gamma, this roguelike has a dictionary, if u complete a map fast enough or take no damage you get a vault, say !dictionary while in a match to get the dictionary of all the droids
11:45 zero driod have quite high damage but it will copy your speed (how fast you are zero driod fast as you)btw it will little slower than us
yeah i was talking to my friend this game is underrated they tried it liked it
I like rgd rougelikes are always fun I hope more people play the game
Commenting because more people needa know this game
YES someone talked about this after not playing deepwoken for like 3 weeks which you should also talk about or rogue lineage but this game is really fun
i agree
Ok I know you are new to the game but you missed a LOT OF THINGS so as someone with every point class and 100k points leftover, here ya go
Crown challenges - unlocked after beating normal mode, used to unlock crown classes
Bosses - every normal run ends with a boss. There’s like 5 and you fight one randomly selected
Xero droids - they mimic your walk speed closely, or exactly at 3.0
Switch droids - their teleport isn’t rng, they always teleport a few studs behind you. He teleported on top of you because you were up against a wall
Dictionary - typing !dictionary in a game gives you information about literally everything in the game
Alt worlds - unlocked by no-hitting a world, 50/50 chance to replace it
Hunter cheese - Hunter droid’s hat does no damage so just stand on it and shoot it with a ranged projectile, since they take about 4X damage from ranged projectiles
