  • A presentation by Dr Robert Haddad on the necessity of the Immaculate Conception of Mary to the adult faith formation group at the parish of Our Lady of the Rosary, Fairfield, Sydney, Australia.
Note: I made one significant mistake in this presentation, mispronouncing the Greek of Luke 1:28 (the Angel Gabriel's' words of greeting to the Virgin Mary) on a number of occasions. I said, "Kaire, Charitomene." I should have said, "Kaire, Kecharitomene." God bless.

Hello... may I say... that Adam did not just blame Eve for tha fall, but also directly blamed God for having a hand in them committing the fall - " ...the woman YOU gave me..." ( as if to say...) it's also your fault for giving me this woman. If you did not give me this woman, I would not have fallen.
    The pride becomes undeniably evident.
    Thank you.
    In Christ

So, although Adam and Eve seem to be in grace with many gifts of the Holy Spirit, obviously discernment wasn't one of them...although maybe discernment was only needed after evil gained a foothold on humanity and they had a knowledge of good and evil? If everything was "good" up until the serpent appeared they probably had no reason to distrust/doubt - although they doubted God quickly enough ("did God really say..." was the doubt planted by Satan) . I guess the introduction of sin will always be a bit of a mystery.

Mary conceived together with Joseph in the normal way millions of humans are conceived every day of the year. Mary was informed beforehand as to what would happen and Joseph, who would obviously be an unwilling party to the act, was "Overshadowed" by the spirit of a most High. Joseph was put into a prophetic or trance-like state and was unaware that his physical body was used by the God-sent High spirit or angel to complete the act of insemination. It was only later that he was informed as to what had occurred that he became deeply troubled. It was essential that the physical body of Jesus was fully human in every sense to prevent any excuse that could be later offered by Satan that Jesus was not fully human. Thus Jesus was correctly referred to on many occasions as "the Son of Man" - or in other words fully human in all respects. Mary, the human mother of Jesus, was the incarnated youngest daughter of the Archangel Raphael. She was a pure spirit in that she did not partake in Lucifer's rebellion in Heaven and remained true to Christ, the King of Heaven, throughout those troubled times. She stepped forward and volunteered to take on the role of human mother to the Redeemer when the details of God's Mysterious Plan of Redemption were being finalised. Worldly men later introduced the concept of an immaculate conception in a mistaken attempt to preserve Mary from the concept of "original Sin" and maintain Her purity - even though She provided Jesus with further siblings.

How do you know that Jesus had other sibling’s? Then I’ll prove to you that you are wrong!

There is another matter, MUCH more important, that was not resolved in the XIXth century: the intrinsic efficacy of Grace, which has been DENIED ever since the Renaissance.
The 'Jansenists' screamed from the rooftops to get an official pronoucement from the Pope speaking on behalf of the Church duly assembled in an ecumenical Council - instead, they got the ridiculous and dictatorial 'condemnation' of Unigenitus in 1713.
Understanding Grace, the FRUIT OF THE CROSS, is BY FAR the most important thing for our Sanctification and ultimate Salvation - nothing comes even close: we have been straining out gnats and swallowing camels ever since.
You can come tell me all about the Immaculate Conception AFTER you set the record straight on the efficacy of Grace - I'm sorry, Dr. Haddad, I'm not even going to watch this video.

@@catliath5384I'm sorry but there's been an elephant in the room ever since the 'Renaissance' (of semi-pelagianism) and someone needs to talk about it.
Rejecting the EFFICACY of the Holy Ghost is a sin against the Holy Ghost - and you know what happens to those who sin against the Holy Ghost, don't you?
We need to talk about this more than anything else in the Church ...NOW!
