Tiny Hook and A 🌽 Corn Cornel works pretty good Sometimes for em , Dead ones make good cut Bait ,Freezer pack em for freshness ,but I'm sure you know all that already , thought I'd throw it out there anyhoo
Bait stealing bluegill aren't smart, they are just little. Gamagotshu makes a number 8 circle (very small) hook that is a good size for little Bait fish. Good episode thanks.
When I 1st started catfishing I was only using jello chicken & shrimp but after getting turned onto bluegills I have lots of fun catching them before a night of fishing. Sometimes the canal I get them out of is so gnarly you can't catch anything so next season I'm gonna try keeping extra bluegills in an old 30gal tank I picked up. I figured it would be nice to have live bait on hand when I'm running late to get setup on the bank before dusk
Nice vid. Definitely sz 2 can be a challenge. I downsized to a size 12 snelled rig and started catching those little bandits. Just a little piece of crawler or red worm or Jack Link's jerky does the trick for me.
Awesome video and great catches of fish did you get any storm damage down there I heard there was a lot of tornado damage across nine States speaking of fishing I haven't caught my first big decent size fish this year but there's always next year I have a couple of ideas I want to try next year including making Kool-Aid little smokies to catch some big decent sized cats
The most fun and basic fishing technique ever invented by man. Not a human on the planet who would not enjoy it.
I'd use a size 6 for this application you were getting a lot of bites, great video!
I hope you can catch you all kinds of Brew gills but I can see you catching big old catfish with them you are a cool TH-camr

I've tried circle hooks for sunfish without much luck. I prefer a Aberdeen #2 or #6
Aberdeen #6 works great for me.
Awesome

Love you're videos because you show the struggle of fishing.
Thanks!
I was doing the same thing today. The bite came on late but I ended up with 11 Bluegill and 2 Bass
Used a #8 circle hook on 8lb flouror and ultra lite 😊
Thanks for the comment. You reminded me that I need to buy some more small hooks. I wish the Bait Boss hooks went that small.
@@Capt_Billy #8 is as small as I can find locally , they seem to struggle to get in such a small mouth.

I do have smaller. Maybe next time! Thanks!

I didn't see any local. Try using Jell-o. It has more animal products in it.
@@Capt_Billy oh cool I might try that out too thanks for the info
👍🇺🇸
hey buddy you said you were dealing with a kidney stone? ouch that sounds rough are you ok? have you been suffering a lot?
oh and what is that silo structure for?
Slowly getting better. It was built before the lake was flooded. I dont know what they used it for. Most likely to hold grain.
