Maybe you figured it out but remember Kakashi always after using the Sharingan he loses so Much chakra that he ends in bed or hospital to recuperate. This is because Kakashi is not Uchiha blood so it doesn't have that big chakra amount plus because Obito gives his Sharingan to kakashi active Kakashi can't turn off so Kakashi covers his Sharingan eye so the Sharingan doesn't take too much chakra out of him continuously.
Itatchi also mentioned this when they fought. "Your body is not the uchiha body that goes with the eyes, so your stamina doesn't hold up".
Spoiler theory? Idk but
Imagine kakashi attempting a 10 tails susano and some of the ninjutsu he could potentially perform with huge chakra reserves
This is why Kakashi is always late. He visits Obito's grave every morning. And he makes up silly excuses about him helping the elderly, like Obito did.

i don't know if you noticed but Obito's Sharingan is unique he awakened his Sharingan and it was already in midway developed into it's mature state

Thats why every time char dead in naruto kakashi always go to the funeral and meet obito at grave like third and asuma dead
What a great intro to Shippuden. Now you finally start to get an idea od what Kakashi was talking about when Sasuke angrily threatened his loved ones. They’re already gone. But yes keep in mind that Kakashi is not an Uchiha, so 1) his Sharingan is always active and he cannot turn it off, and 2) the Sharingan consumes way more chakra and stamina than normal because a non-Uchiha person’s body is not meant to have it, hence why he keeps it covered 90% of the time. He does get better with it as the series progresses for plot’s sake though lol - it’s not just like he’s down for the count after every use like in OG Naruto. The stakes are too high for the story once Shippuden rolls around for him to have such a crucial weakness.
