When you cross the sands in some Black fraternities the chorus and another part of the song is what we sing when we cross the sands. It is somber but a moment you never forget, it's when you realize the commitment that comes with joining our fraternity.
@docmike; i listened to the nashville bluegrass band's version. definitely nice, but it had that "yoolding tinge" to it. two different styles of the same song. it's a matter of one's preferred style of music. the "nashville band" was doing "their" rendition of an old negro spiritual.
And this is eternal life: that they may know the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. John 17:3 So those who gladly received his word were baptized; and on that day nearly three thousand souls were added. Acts 2:41 Look, watch and pray, for you do not know when the time will come. Mark 13:33
why do you think so? Racism or these gentlemen take there performing in a more serious way. Is it that all the audience was white? Because they were in Europe from the U.S.?
Love to my dad in heaven - Caleb Ginyard!
I'm crushed with the beauty, grace and talent of this group
I agree 100%.
What absolutely gorgeous voices they have.
An electric performance!
Beautiful. An absolutely electrifing and powerful performance. The tempo is just perfect.
What a beautiful song! Bring back beautiful songs! Not the crap we have playing over the airwaves now.
Thanks for this. A vocal blend like this doesn't come along very often. Great performance of a great song. If you feel fell this, you can't feel!

Genial!!!!!!!!!
Who’s the powerful tenor that steps back from the mic?
Nice. But listen to the Nashville Bluegrass Band a capella version too.
Does anyone know where precisely in Yugoslavia this concert was given? Thank you in advance!
It must be Hungary, not Yugoslavia.
Yes, Clyde Wrights "Koszönöm" in the end points clearly to Hungary...
Trade Union Hall, Belgrade, YU. My parents were there.
