That was an honest demonstration for both models. If there is only a six month window before replacement, obviously a no brainer on the less expensive model.
Thanks for the video. I'd considered the Vevor, but BECAUSE of the 2-screw height adjustment from it, and the 4-screw adjustment from the Dewalt, I chose it. Others have had way better longevity than you apparently got. I'm a hobbyist, so it won't get used nearly as much as a real wood shop, so I expect mine to outlive me. So maybe my view is skewed, as I just bought the 735 over the Vevor. Just for information, I replaced the 1hp motor on my old Craftsman table saw with a 1.5hp Vevor, and it is working famously so far.
Awesome man. Planning on getting me all the tools I need to start doing my own builds. This video is definitely helpful. I'm a DeWalt guy, but I'll take your word for it.
I have been looking at other Vevor tools too thank you Sean for the heads up. Yeah Sean are you going to sell any of the acoustic guitar kits like you had last week? That thing was beautiful and sounded sweet!
TBH some of the brand names all you get is a brand name for the extra $. My wife uses rotary tools for her side job and after burning out multiple $130 Dremel tools we switched to $20 ones by Chicago electric at Harbor Freight. They last as long or longer and you can get 6 of them for the price of one Dremel.
The ONLY thing I really like that makes a huge difference to me on the Dewalt is the 2 speed feeder…. I have the Ridgid 13” and to me it feeds a little too fast for my comfort, and a slower feed makes a smoother finish….
I got a Triton wood planer, but it always seems to cut an additional 6 cm long 1 mm stretch at both ends. I think because gravity tends to pull the wood down at those ends as its no longer being guided. Anyone else having this experience with their wood planers?
Dewalt 735 does not include the infeed/outfeed tables. Dewalt charges extra for the tables. The Dewalt bean counter are trying to ruin what use to be a good company. I know the Dewalt customer service is not good but I have heard it is also and issue with Vevor. When I call customer service I want to speak with an American that will resolve my problem.
DeWalt hasn’t been the same since it was actually DeWalt…. They are owned by Black & Decker last I knew…. Im not knocking B&D either, I’ve had some good tools from them over the years that work great for general homeowner projects
Sean my name is Sean also your in orlando correct I'm in winter springs looking to build my own guitar Wonder what a body and neck from you would roughly cost . Lp body flame maple top on body and neck that 2 tone fret board pre drilled and routed maybe a black beauty route
I have no qualms with saving a dollar when and where I can not everyone can afford the price of name brand and when you find a decent bargain with quality it always leaves you with a good feeling being a name brand snob is the province of the wealthy nothing wrong with being the salt of the earth
Well hold your horses just one second. I buy DeWalt, but it's not for the name. DeWalt almost exclusively manufactures all their equipment in either Mexico or the U.S.A. I figure if I'm gonna purchase a workhorse, it ought to be from an American working to support themselves and their kin if I can. The exception I've found to this rule is planers, though, which is primarily why I ain't bought one yet. I ain't found one that isn't made in China.

I like the slow motion shot… most guys speed it up like 5x which doesn’t give the chance to really see and hear how well it operates….

This is a damn good video. Will definitely help someone out.
Love the Easter egg at the end👏👏👏👏

Nice review!! I haven't used a planer since middle school!! LOL

Ever if it only last as long as the Dewalt it looks like a good deal. Can you get replacement parts for the Dewalt?
Awesome video 👍 Does Vevor produce any snipe (off mark cut) at the beginning or end of the boards?
Not that I know of
@@scarmyguitar just to check I got it right 😉 you didn't notice any snipe after planning, right?
@@michaels.7172 None in the video either!

The rollers are too tight that feed the wood into the planer. It causes the wood to dip on one end creating that off mark cut!
@@scarmyguitar Thanks for replying. Can that be fixed?
Are replacement blades available? Perhaps others will fit.

Good review. Thanks man.
Thanks for watching!
Vevor is an incredible company. I bought several items from them. Products are solid and cost effective.
Good choice.
My Ridgid has the same magnetic Tee-wrench
What happened to C Rock and 99? Where they at now?
No clue people come and go!
@@scarmyguitar I'll be alright as long as you stay around 🤘
Cuts it like butter.

Ooohhh GIGGY!!!!👏👏👏👏👏
How's this holding up 3 months later?
Great, but I had to sharpen the blades myself!
Mine is still going strong after 3 years.
Great video
So where's the Vevor made?
Replacement blades are available from vevor
@@johnniefreeman3320 Additional question: where are the blades made?
@@frikyouall certainly in China where most all of them are made.
@@johnniefreeman3320 As expected. DeWalts are almost always made in either Mexico or the U.S. Most everything else is made in China.
@@frikyouall get your head out of the sand my friend.

The Vevor looks like a knockoff of the cheaper Dewalt DW734 planer
Yeah agree
so why did you not compare a cheaper Dewalt? what you are doing is like comparing a Mercedes to a Kia
I'm thinking you didn't watch the video because your Mercedes is trash
Awesome review, thanks! 👍
