Beau Brummell is a company out of South Hackensack, NJ started by two brothers in 2013. They create grooming and skin care products crafted in small batches at their laboratory in New York. To say they have been in the press would be an understatement just pick a magazine most likely they were in it.
I always try to get things rolling with my reviews by sending out emails to companies at the beginning of the year to see if anyone would be interested in me reviewing any products. I happen to send one to Zack one of the founders of Beau Brummell I told him who I was and what I did on youtube along with telling him about our Wet The face community. He wrote back that he was interested and would send me something soon. some time went by and on the 28th of January, he wrote that he sent me a package and gave me the tracking number it arrived only a few days later.
I have to say when it comes to presentation Beau knows. I encourage you to take a look at the video just to witness the careful detail of how this was sent to me. Not only was it protected by the packaging but it was done in a way they were attractive keeping up with the Beau Brummell image.
Once the wrapping was taken off it revealed a stunning White Marble Shaving Bowl that seemed to sparkle in places when the light hit it just right. This also sports a perfectly flat bottom so it's sure to sit securely on any surface. The exterior is perfectly smooth almost glass like to the touch but on the inside of the bowl, we have grooves which have been etched on the sides and bottom that grips the soap allowing you to make a great lather. The weight of this bowl comes in at 1lb 9.6 oz so it's not light just don’t drop it on your foot.
Placing soap in the bowl was no problem it stayed exactly where I placed it and during the bowl lather test I was able to hold it to the camera without having it slip out of my hands but I would suggest keeping it on a flat surface. I was able to make a great lather and clean up was just as easy it washed away all signs of the lather and unused soap for the next use.
So to say I enjoyed this bowl would be no exaggeration it was magnificent and a pleasure to use however I do have one issue. it’s has a very small area in which to agitate. That being said I still was able to make to make an amazing amount of lather but I’m just used to having more room to do it in other than that I highly recommend this shaving bowl.

That would be amazing to see you'll have to ask the owner of the company to see if it can be done but a great idea
One characteristic of raw marble is that it is very porous. Therefore, if you expose it to dark substances….ie. Coffee, Wine, Coke, etc.)….the marble will get permanently stained. You would need to put some kind of a sealer on it for protection. Beautiful bowl though.
So far Craig and I've had this bowl over 4 years now nothing has changed with it that being said I will take that into consideration for sure thanks for watching
How is that a soap? Isn’t that considered a cream since it’s soft?
The term croap was coined to describe Cella, since it's not a cream, but also is too soft to describe it as a soap. Thanks for watching the razor I'm using is called an Occam's Razor Nano its a single edge razor you can find them here but hurry they get sold out real fast - www.classicshaving.com/collections/occams-razor the One I have seems to be all sold out its goes under the name O.R.E.N and cost $125.00 because of what's happening in the world his supplies are zero and I'm not sure if he will be getting any more in for some time.

Did someone say coffee?! Great shave Don. I will be buying some blades for my RazoRock Hawk here pretty soon myself along with some cork and some half blades for my Leaf razor. Sorry to hear that your acid reflux did a number on you this past week. I usually take the "Walmart/Sam's Club version" of Zantac 75 which is over the counter and dirt cheap. Especially if I get it at Sam's Club. It's $9 dollars for 300 tablets. That and I avoid spicy foods and no soda. In my case coffee doesn't effect it thank goodness.

Very nice video. It is a handsome bowl but I would prefer a wider diameter opening. I'm surprised we don't see more stone brush handles. Now that would be a beautiful set. Congratulations on the new soap. It inspired me to pull out one of my coffee scents for Sunday.

Brother D.Y., I got mines a few months ago when they first brought it out. Such a stunning shaving piece, and produces an impeccable lather! My wife has threatened to take it and use it as a decor item for the house, because it's beauty stands out that much. Turns out we were talking about the same Beau Brummell after all. That's a gorgeous bowl Don, superbly packed too highlights the awesome care take by the guys and it would be a great addition to anyone's den. So would the Perfect Cup be good for a coffee addict struggling to cut down lol? The bowl is beautiful. Personally I prefer an other colour than white to see the generally white lather building up. And for my needs the diameter of this bowl is too small since I am a fan of large brushes.

I had the same reaction but once I started to make the lather it just did it so quickly and without any effort, it truly changed my mind about that issue.
