Patagonia 8L atom sling bag. I have two, simple, with a large padded pocket on the inside. Very easy to slide in front, open and grab your weapon. Holds my s&w mp9 with no problems and plenty of room to spare, no one knows it’s there and the bag definitely doesn’t say “hey I have a pistol in here!” Lol
I actually have 2 of the 5.11. Can't beat what it all has, not to mention all that can be added to it. 1 is my EDC, the other I use for bushcraft and/or survival camping.
The problem with these packs are that they look "tactical." These are packs that if I saw someone carrying I would assume that there is a gun or weapon inside. Just the nature or molle and or military style colors. Don't get me wrong I love the molle features as much as the next person but its on my bailout bag. If I'm carrying a sling pack for edc I would want something more discreet, at least on the outside.
1:07 the easy listening music.. combined with the light narration.. mixed with concealed weaponry bags and guns pointed towards camera..... is hilarious.
Thanks for the video. I don't "EDC" but I'm considering. Excluding hiking or hunting situations, one of the concerns I have RELATIVE TO ME and this video and is bags/backpacks in stores are generally looked down on for obvious reasons. Also the fact that these and other bags look awesome but they often draw attention to the user kind of how open carry draws attention. IMHO a bag that is less inconspicuous but just as durable and useful is very attractive to someone looking to blend in better.
There’s a tactical instructor who came to that same conclusion and advocated using things like standard school backpacks, gym bags, even a tennis racket holder bag in which he concealed a folder AK pistol... none the wiser.
Good video 👍🏼 I’ve got the Hazard 4 ‘Holmes’, it’s very well made and it holds quite a bit of gear. I also have the 5.11 ‘Moab 10’, I bought in 2011 and is still going strong. Both packs are ambidextrous, which is another good feature. I prefer to wear them when I ride my motorcycle, over a standard backpack.
i got the moab 10 when it was released, some 8-10 years ago. With everyday use, it's still running strong. One zipper has come off the hinge on the outer pocket, but it's still closable with the second zipper. Best pack i have EVER owned. ( I used one of the "extra" straps that it comes with, to create a second buckle across my chest, in order to keep the pack from spinning when im running with my shotgun or bow in my hand.)
I have the MOAB 10 and I love it. A good waist belt would be nice. I wished they had a MOAB 13 that was just a few inches taller. I have a nice one from savior equipment that’s pretty sweet. My next one is the Savior Equipment TGB 30. It’s going to be a dedicated 12 gauge bag. Then probably a Hazard 4 Plan B. I really like sling bags because they are easy and small yet big enough to be their own designated system. They fill a variety of different uses with needing one heavy large pack. My MOAB 10 is primarily a travel/motorcycle bag with room for gear too.
Question from good old Europe. Why should I wear/use a sling bag when I have a good rucksack? Two straps over the shoulder vs one. Two are better for your bag
I like that first tactical bag. I’m more a fan of the smaller ones for edc. I wish it had a “laptop sleeve” for a small piece of armor plating to fit in the back there
You forget one MAJOR player/mfg, Savior Equipment. I have two of their coffin sling bags for approximately 2-2.5 yrs of very hard use. Its now 2023 and they're still going strong !
Is there anything like SOG EVAC Sling 18 but with two shoulder straps? I'd like something with separate 15-16" laptop compartment that is not in a main chamber and is about 16-20 liters. I really like Dragon egg mk2 25l but it is slightly too big for my needs
Looks like the Hazard4 Evac plan B, I got one myself recently, it's well made and is doing exactly what I needed it for. It can carry a larger load than it looks like it can.
I have two of the Hazard4 Plan B . One regular design and one of the gray man versions. Love them both. I have been considering the Rocket model or the Takedown.
Bought a desert tan tactical back pack at Walmart for $14.95 , I guess if I use one strap instead of two I get the same , also found a camo Real tree fanny pack at an outlet store for $5.00 , now I have left over money to fill them up ! 👍🏼
I believed back panels into any of these are GRE8 for injuries, can b use as an arm support or brace for the injury in the meantime yahh??if they didn't come up wit such idea far Wud b a good one for other tactical bag manufacturers dnt u think???
These are all just a little too "tacticool" for everyday use. The whole world is going to assume you have guns and ammo inside, even if you don't, and that's not optimum for most of us in most situations.
All that in say your favorite brand. but totally get ya. I'm trying to blend in not stuck out. Your one man or woman don't make yourself a target. Black ones ok for the night red us really good at night and combo it with a black bomber jacket your fine I live in a uni town so can be more my self and still blend in luckily 😂. Hay but my town is a garrison town so some areas I'll blend in 🤷
@@johnburnett5377 I completely disagree, these bags are in no way out of place. Since the days of bomber jackets and combat boots military surplus has been in style and today everybody is dressing like a marvel superhero anyway. Have you seen the new kit being issued today? “Tacticool” is the new tactical. Camelbaks, nomex gortex, Sherpa holsters, red dot sights, and modular systems. Trust me, “the whole world” isn’t looking at when you walk down the street, so “most of us” will be just fine.
One would be wise not to carry military gear when travelling abroad in regions that are generally unstable, and to avoid confusion with local law enforcement. It's ok to use the bag models, but do make an effort to customize them with a personal style. Like adding patches and flares etc that is non-military. Just a tip if you are using such bags while travelling and want to avoid trouble.
The last thing I want is something that is the "in thing" I don't want to be mixed in with a part of the hipster dorks who have decided it is hip to carry a tactical bag.

Check out Savior Equipment. American made and lifetime warranty. Definitely quality stuff.
Military style sling bags didn't "just" pop up...they have been around for a good 10 years...
What is the bag at 0:28?
Here's what I'm looking for in a single sling bag: I want to carry a weapon in it without the bag screaming " This bag has a weapon in it!".

Should make them in pink or orange, might not be discreet but it 100% dont scream "tacticool" ;)
"Shoot-me-first-bag". I run a Patagonia sling for this very reason. A CamelBak or Viktos Upscale Sling wouldn't be too bad.
Exactly
That's exactly what I said when I first watched this video. Great comment.
@@enkeb Love your Shoot me first bag comment. I totally agree. Would you be willing to share which Patagonia sling you have?
1:07 the easy listening music.. combined with the light narration.. mixed with concealed weaponry bags and guns pointed towards camera..... is hilarious.
Have had beating on that hazard 4 sling in black for 5 years now and it still looks like I’ve barely broken it in!!!
While I don't really like the sling bags I must admit that the 5.11 Moab 10 looks great
Agreed

The maxpedition monsoon gearslinger should be on that list. Had mine for about 6 years now. Great bag.
The best looking bag is 00:33 in and isn't even discussed.
Its the 5.11 LV10
Nice bags but becomes to heavy when fill it up for one straps only and very uncomfortable if you carry it all day
my thoughts exactly. more impractical than tactical

I have never seen anyone in the military use bags like these. Running with a sling bag is impractical. I still want one though
I use the Hazard4 evac plan-b sling pack in the army. Great design and very comfortable
Question from good old Europe. Why should I wear/use a sling bag when I have a good rucksack? Two straps over the shoulder vs one. Two are better for your bag
With the sling bag you can swing the bag around to your front and access the contents without taking it off. That's about it.
They really are. While the sling bag seems awesome, they’re so uncomfortable with any real load.
I love survival gear 😍😍😍
I have the 5.11 LV10 as my EDC.
That blackberry sold me
I like that first tactical bag. I’m more a fan of the smaller ones for edc. I wish it had a “laptop sleeve” for a small piece of armor plating to fit in the back there
5.11 is My choice
I use a Patagonia sling pack which carries either a Sig 9mm or .380 with magazines and other edc. More grey man .
Im using first tactical 's crosshatch sling pack as everyday pack... Good quality
I’m looking at that for, and don’t laugh, a lunch bag. You think it would work for that application?
You forget one MAJOR player/mfg, Savior Equipment. I have two of their coffin sling bags for approximately 2-2.5 yrs of very hard use. Its now 2023 and they're still going strong !
What is the sling bag in the thumbnail on the righthand side????
Thank you!
I got not the moab 10 but the moab 6 from 5.11 smaller but great for edc bag

ThanQ for filming, wish you'd included pricing....
Need to add the Roaring Fire sling pack 😊
THE ACTUAL BEST CONCEPT BAG IS THE OFFICER FRONT FROM HAZARD 4 OVER.
What is the one in the thumb nail, it looks perfect for what I'm looking for

Hazard 4 packs
Nice features bt need waterproof too
Does anyone know what kind a gun this is? 1:02
I know this comment is a year old, but it looks like a Sig P238 or 938. Could be the Springfield 911 copy, too.
What? No Vertx Transit Sling pack????
The hazard 4 sidewinder is the best by far
Mmm, some people call it a sling bag, I call it a kaiser bag.
Carries alot of them french fried taters.mmm

Sling bag with SMG FTW. Not very subtle with the mollee
I love 5.11 bagpack I have 10 PC's.

Where can i get the one on the thumbnail ?
sling bags are so uncomfortable when loaded. i have the rush 10 moab
I replaced my moab 10 with 6. I got the 6 more comfortable
Try Maxpedition’s legacy series. Their stuff always worked well and wasn’t this Gucci shit.
I had a 5.11 Tactical Select Carry Sling Pack. But it is not water-proof, nor weather-resistant. I am sad.
Cool.
What tactics does Joe public use walking down the high street? Bollocks
