Hi, very , very nice Watch from Legendary brand Longines, Thank you for showing it to us, wish you a lot enjoyment with your Watch but have a Casio outdoors, Regards.
I have one and can't recommend it highly enough. Keep your eyes peeled I got a 25% discount. I have it on a blue and grey NATO strap and it's stunning.
Looked like you were winding the watch backwards? Also didn’t mention anything about about the Valjoux based movement, column wheel feature, frequency, performance or properly demonstrate date changes… I did buy that book tho! 😁
A very nice watch indeed, and I own one. Lots of justified plus points in your video but you did not mention a couple of issues which I see as negatives. Firstly, I know that chronographs are generally thicker than ‘normal’ watches but this Longines model takes thickness to the next level - nearly 17mm! Way too much. And my second point is related to the first one. Whilst the strap is classy and top quality, it seems a bit flimsy/delicate for a 42mm/17mm seriously chunky watch case. It’s a strap for a dress watch. I replaced mine with a heavier duty leather strap.
Thank 👍you for this review. Beautiful watch. I want to buy a high end watch. in the $3000 range. As a watch enthusiast I think Rolex is beautiful and a super famous brand. But 10X over its price. And a bad quality / price ratio. Minimum 15,000 for a Steel watch. I have been collecting watches for 40 years. and i have a couple of rolex too. but bought at normal store prices in the 80Ties. A new Daytona dealer bought $1,175 in (1986), now the value is $30,000 > 45,000. This is insane. That's why I'm not going to buy a rolex, Just so much money For the name. But"" with This Longines spirit chrono. You get a lot of watch for your money. I think compared to rolex a super price quality ratio. I will definitely buy 1 but with the steel strap. I think this Longines spirit chrono is a Daytona Killer.
Thanks for your comment Rob. I'm glad you understand. Buying a nice watch is simple. And all watches are well made. they don't make bad watches. But I think you should really look at the Price-Quality ratio. what do i get for my money. a steel Rolex for 25,000. or a Longines spirit chrono of 2200. I'm going for the Last one, even though i can afford the Rolex. but I don't want to pay 23K more for just a Name.
Hi! New sub :-) I am an old pilot so you really get acquainted with your watch airborne. This was a good vid and I hope you continue to improve. If I may make a couple of observations there would be 2 things I would try to include in every vid: 1) Always do a thorough review of the movement…..w an open back if possible. Nut job enthusiasts such as myself will be grateful to know movement model #7750 by ETA/ValJoux or a LeMania 5100 (good luck on that😭) or a Co-Axial by Omega (can’t remember the model#) ……oh, oh….oh to be 65 again bwaaa 😬☠️……..🤣……Ah…excuse me. I digress And 2) Try to include more actual descriptive chit chat and less on how it makes you feel chit-chat. And of course all is just imho. I thought about starting a channel but man, that’s a whole lotta work. You have a good attitude and don’t come off like you know everything. A+ for all of that and more. Fine vid! Thanks
@@miki55fathoms19 Hey Brother flyer. I had to learn to fly backwards (from the right seat) due to my badly crippled left wrist. I flew for 8 years, was an ASC with the FAA, was a Safety Officer with Delta Composite Squadron as a Captain. The meds I have to take for my little problem made it impossible for me to continue active service in 2002. All us old “has beens” pilots know this: once you actually left Earth & put yourself back safely to said Earth, you are changed forever. ONLY pilots know this. Ever try explaining to your wife😂? It is 20 years since I was able but I think about flying (@ dang near 70) everyday. My memories come with no pity for myself. Man, I got to fly!!! GBU Sir. Don’t know about you but I don’t need no stinking medical to fly Ultra Lights. The type that is available now are actual 3 axis AC with tri-gear. I wanted to get a tail dragged endorsement but I ran out of time. Keep dreaming Bud. Ain’t over till it’s over. GBU & your family during the upcoming Holidays :-)
@@jazzman5598 Hello brother, I apologize for "disappearing" it was a bit late for me (11:00 p.m.), I am an old man. Well, in my case it is that I am born a pilot, my grandmother has told me that when I was little only 4 -5 years old, every time when heard an airplane that I have had a similar seizure and had difficulty breathing of too much joy. At the age of 12 I was visiting an air show on some occasion I snuck into an old airplane and twisted a smaller nut that was for a gyrometer and wore it around my neck as an amulet. My first flight on the right side was when I turned 16 years old in a Curier-Cesna of dark gray fabric, 17 years old I got my license on the Spitfire, the same year my first solo flight in jet aircraft and dog fight simultaneous fight. Got a letter of recommendation from the director of the airfield and could choose the school between civil or military aviation but, I ruined everything by I started skydiving, idiot , in 1979 flew for the last time after this in 2008 with the Piper Cherokee 28. This is a sad story, Bro. of my life, Great Greetings to you
@@hooch1111 are we looking at the same watch? Have you had this in hand? The case is beautifully designed with wonderful brushing very well-made. The only thing I never really loved as much was the stars on the dial, but outside of that any other brand would be charging an arm and a leg for something like this.
Black date wheel doesn’t do an otherwise classic looking pretty yet masculine dial any favours. That wart at 10 o’clock also not welcome. Plus it’s a fat boy but the 42mm case just about carries it off. A tempting piece but I’ve just had a bad experience with a spirit so-called COSC piece that ran well outside the COSC window at +9s/day but I might give the brand another go as that could have been a Friday afternoon build.
A beautiful watch without the outrageous price tag. Great review
I have the White Dial version which is also beautiful. I put the ZuluDiver Octopod strap/clasp on it and it lifted it to another level.

Great quality camera able to showcase the watch which is indeed a beauty.

Long Jean? 😂 sorry, I'm just kidding. Thx for the video, I soon will buy one.
Oh nooo! Now I have another watch I want to buy!

Hello to Family, I am also an old pilot, tragically I can no longer be Airborne due to my disability, I wish you the best in life.

Seen this at -30% which is quite the tempting package.
Where????
Where?
My next one!
Do someone know how to set up the time?
Yes, you pull the crown out to the proper position and set the time after its been wound properly?
Rough edges on the case, looks cheap for the price. I guess all the investment went into the movement, not much left for aesthetics.
