- Galway, a harbour city on Ireland's west coast, sits where the River Corrib meets the Atlantic Ocean. The city's hub is 18th century Eyre Square , a popular meeting spot surrounded by shops and traditional pubs. Galway is famous for being the festival capital of Ireland.
It has a population of over 79 thousand residents. Galway City is approximately 128.9 miles west of Dublin City.
Galway just the best.
Super cool. 👍😊
Lovely place
It is indeed. 👍😊
I ❤ Galway. Loved how you greeted the swans! 14:19
Cool.👍😊
The stars of this show are 22 swans and the cutest pink barge I’ve ever seen! These beautiful, majestic, graceful birds 🦢 appeared to act in unison to surround and protect the barge. The whole scene is a picture perfect postcard. 👍💗🦢☘️
Thanks Elizabeth. Swan's are super cool. 👍😊🦢

I forgot to mention, that I was really looking forward to this video, so I'm glad it's finally here!
We're looking forward to tasting the famous Irish or Guinness stew @ this pub & also @ the famous Brazen Head Pub in Dublin.
I must add, that I really love the Aran Sweater Market shop! Amazing woollens for sale in there & so beautiful.
And I really love those Aran sweaters, ponchos, beanies, etc;. Very beautiful & I absolutely love the famous & very Irish, Claddagh ring. Also very beautiful, but most importantly, very traditional in Ireland.
Galway's a wonderful city, so full of life & so beautiful & those swans, are so beautiful & are such graceful wee creatures.
The story regarding the African-American man, Wow! So very interesting to learn about this. He sounded like an amazing man & a true champion boxer & you're a real champ, for bringing us such awesome stories. May he RIP.
Also Don, I really love (for the most part lol) all the music that you choose to play within your videos. Very nice, very pleasant indeed.
I must say, yes you are correct! Ireland is indeed a very expensive country to visit these days. We'll be coming over soon & we've seen the many prices online.
Finally, in ref to JFK, I've watched numerous reputable documentaries, whereby they did mention what the author said. IMPHO, I think that there are way too many famous people & people in general, who are placed high on the pedestal, when they really don't deserve to be. JFK, IMPO, is one of those men. Overrated, as the saying goes.
On the flip side of the coin, those who so deserve to be placed on the pedestal, are not & aren't even to be ever mentioned! It's a true shame, it really is.
My family used to often tell me this. That there are bad people, who do bad things, yet, they're often still admired & even revered & they certainly should never be revered.
I personally think you're a smart man Don.
Thanks for the smart compliment, 🤣 I love when people say nice things. Appreciated.👍😊🇮🇪🇦🇺🐨🦘

Oh Wow!!! Whoooo hoooooo! lol Hey Don, you're in our family's neck of the woods, Galway!!
I had so wanted you to visit this Irish region, so I'm thrilled to say the least & my family are equally delighted.
We are simply itching to get to Ireland later this year & we'll definitely make our way to Galway. Can't wait!
Ireland is a truly special country to me, full of very interesting history & such wonderful inhabitants.
This video is so wonderful from start to finish & as always, you always inform & educate your viewers, which I personally appreciate.
Thanks for bringing us such awesome content & I can't wait until your next wee adventure.
Peace & Cheers, from Tasmania, Australia✌
Thank you so much for your positivity. Your too kind.👍😊🇮🇪🇦🇺🐨🦘

Love your videos! Coming to Ireland next June for the first time. I am watching your videos to help with my itinerary. I like how you show a place in a very easy going and honest way. Not overly glamorous and touristy. I like that you find beauty, interest and history in everyday life.
Thanks a million Jim. Hope you enjoy your trip when you arrive.👍😊
A fun place. Tig Coili is the pub Prince Wiliam and Katie were swinging a few pints of a Friday morning some years ago !
Thanks Noel.👍😊
Hi Don ,
A good video never showed the Galway cathedral when you were on the new bridge .
I didn't bother going into it, I was in a bit of a rush. 👍😊
The funny thing is i lived there for 17 years , in all honesty behind the liveliness and sparkle is a depressive place...
Maybe you're right. As a tourist passing through, it's a different place.👍😊
My family lived there for many years & they really loved their time spent there.
They said day to day life & seeing the locals coming & going, plus meeting visitors quite frequently, made life quite exciting/fun.
As you rightly say, life is more so quiet, away from the tourist hot spots for sure, but so long as you're close to a town/neighbourhood, it can never really get too lonely they informed me.
IMPHO, I guess also, we have to create our own positive & fun environment, regardless of where we live.
Love Galway but since Mohammad is now the most popular name there, it’s not looking good for the locals, sharia law soon
