My dad had a '63 Pontiac. After watching this film, I wish he had had a '64! Life could have been so much better! Lol
Thats me right now I just got a 63 but was too clean to pass up. Its my daily driver 😉
I note that many of the illustrated cars have the little seen optional 8-lug brakedrum wheels. 12:16 for example.
I want a new 1964 GTO!!
With the 421.
Get in line! Btw, it's a LONG line! lol
awesome video!
A Filmstrip!
great cars but, a 3 speed auto should have been offered. Ford and Chrysler had them and the gm intermediates were plagued with this sluggish, but reliable, 2 speed 300 super turbine.
3 spd manual was the standard transmission unless ordered with a 4 speed manual or 2 spd auto.
I have heard back then people would leave their car keys 🔑 in the ignition. Imagine that!
And for years Chevy's didn't need a key to start. You had acc/lock/off/on/start with the ignition. On lock you needed a key, but merely turning it off you could turn the ignition on without a key. My '53 Bel Air had that and I think on into the mid-60s GM cars in some models still had that.
@@joemackey1950 my '64 corvair was like this.
@@joemackey1950 my dad had a 51 & 64 Chevy stolen with that lockset. He also had a 65 Dodge Coronet 440 model stolen by leaving the key in the ignition.
Manoman we had it then lost it
Purring tiger at rest.....shades of gto advertising in the next couple years.
3000 hr light!
Love this!
