    Funny as that was, it makes me miss my Dad 😢
    EDIT: Nvr had this many likes before so thx everyone & I'm sorry for your loss if you've had one or just nvr had that kinda fatherly luv 💐
    To those who asked: YES, my Dad passed. It was very unexpected & I didn't get to say goodbye. I think that's what messed me up - that & just thinking we'd have more time. I saw him 2wks before his death when I asked my husband to drive me back home to bury my dog of 15yrs. I watched my Daddy bury my dog while my husband just stood there - he's my ex now btw. So I lost my pit of 15yrs & my Dad in 2 weeks (divorced my husband 6 months after that) & I have no brothers or sisters. My mom never liked me bc my dad loved me so much. She was too shook up to plan a funeral so I had to plan everything : I even gave the eulogy. My Dad & I had bdays just a few days apart - we were April Aries. I was his world & he was my everything ; my hope & light in this world. It's been 5yrs which is wild to say bc it still feels like yesterday to me. To all those who never had a Dad like mine, I'm truly sorry. I pray you attract the kind of love & support you never had through other Angels on earth. If you have someone in your life now that you love, love them harder, live your dreams now. Tomorrow waits for no one. REMEMBER : Love always elevates 💕 God bless everyone wherever you are & thx for reading 🙏

Then Americans (white folks) in general are always complaining that they never get a visit during the holidays, and they just rot away in an old folks home. I’ve seen this so many times when I was in band in high school and we would perform at senior centers. Really sad way to live out your old years.

    I’m Indian, and this isn’t how it works in our household. I’m 20, and I’ll get a slap if I tell them that I want to move out. I can literally stay with them forever, lol.. This applies to my brothers, as well.
    EDIT: I was joking when I mentioned getting slapped. FYI, my parents have never done that to me, and I love them very much. Indian parents portrayed as being very strict is a joke, and I thought it is widespread. So just to reiterate, I’m not being abused or anything.

    • @amelia..759
      @amelia..759 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      It might be different, but im indian, im khasi and we stay with our mom (parents*) until we get married. When we get married we move out and build a house with our soulmates. Except the youngest child (a girl, if the youngest child is a boy he will move out with his soulmate and the girl will stay,) (im a girl and the youngest) has to stay in their parent's house to take care of them even after marriage. The boy has to move in with the girl's family

    • @afsheen6731
      @afsheen6731 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@amelia..759 Yea, it is different compared to my household. I’m a Muslim, and usually, the girl moves into the in-laws' house after marriage, and the groom stays in his home. They can move out later to their own place if they want to. And usually, the bride can stay with her parents if the husband is away or something like that. Regardless of the differences, I just wanted to say that this whole western practice of kicking out children when they turn 16/18 doesn’t exist in our culture.

    This is funny! The fathers that really care about their daughters want them to live at home for as long as they can. While others dnt care, this father loves all of his kids even though it seems he is harder on his sons. This family is really hilarious!

    I've seen the most successful kids make it when their parents keep the kids home while they go to college and then get a job. While working at that job they save enough for a fucking house. The whole sink or swim shit don't cut it. (Side note: if they aren't doing anything with their lives, give them the tools to be successful, they will have to do the rest.)
