Republic Dominicana is such a beautiful & magical place. Food & the culture is amazing. I spent 5 weeks in Summer 2023 traveling the island, and now plan to semi retire in 2025.
WOW!! The boardwalk has taken shape super fast since we last visited in Dec. 2022....what an amazing transformation! Keep uploading these type DR informative videos for those of us whom are always searching for return flights LOL!!
That's key. It's nice to inaugurate new projects, etc., but the key thing is that these new (and existing locations) are maintained and kept safe and not just forgotten. My sister lives right in that area so I'll be sure to hang out there next time I'm in the island. She's actually in the video too - funny. Nice!
The nalecon of santo domingo is well maintained but in Santo Domingo este we have a different government than in Santo Domingo. We have to see if the mayor, Manuel Jiménez basura will do his work.

Te entiendo perfectamente. Creo que fue hecho así para evitar que se vea sucio o que la pintura se le vaya quitando con el sol, en fin, menos mantenimiento. Además de eso, me parece que la falta de color le da más protagonismo al mar y al ambiente relajante que se quiere lograr

I hope the people keep it clean and dont litter or destroy it. a lot of us can be a little bit untidy and throw things on floor instead of using the trash cans.
That's good but I sure would love for the government(President) to focus on the infrastructure of the country. Please fix the ROADS. Build better roads and paint them. People drive like idiots
It’s how they drive. It’s somewhat organized chaos on the roads. I hate driving there. Coming from NYC takes a day or two to adjust. There is always Uber for those who can’t adjust.
Dominican Republic is in danger, because if Africa goes into Haiti, then it becomes a matter of time for the two to become one like it was before France got into Haiti and it got split in almost half and then Haiti git independence from France and Dominique from Haiti and felt back into Spain and it got its independence from Spain, so in reality Haiti is still in control of the entire territory because when Dominican Republict lost its independence to Spain, that was a violation of the treaty with Haiti, because Spain had to business taking the Dominican independence, and then turn around and make Dominican Republic independence, after the violation was already committed. It's one land and belongs to Haiti.
You literally don’t know the real history. Please educate yourself better. In 1821 the DR became independent and Haiti invaded in 1822. Haiti would not exits if french pirates would have never invaded the western part of Hispaniola

Muy bonito el malecón. Me hubiese gustado q pintaran de colores vivos el mural q dice Malecón. No sé porqué la manía de dejarlo color cemento.
