My first time doing Red Prince as a summoner and I alt tabed out during the dialog just to check if I should give him the coin or not. Then when I finally decide to fight him for the firestorm mod my summons one shot him because of the haste glitch with summons.
Thanks for the guide! Im easily going through apocalypse with it. I made a few changes and got SMG as my secondary with Song of Eafir for crowd control, super nice mod and it synergizes with the bow very well. Took passive HP regen with Regrowth trait and Root Water consumable, although these points could go else where maybe.
I will say the only thing I hate about the shroud ability is the sound effect. That noise is ear grating and I really hope it's addressed. Thankfully it's only really noticeable if you activate and are just running around without enough enemies to kill and the invisibility is constantly up.
I finally just got everything for this build and omg it slaps... I can't play near as well as this guy tho. I don't hit every weakspot hit and occasionally take damage but man is it fun to play. Was getting tired of Hugs Enigma Nightfall... Thank you!
I have to ask, is that your favorite bow to use? I've been staring at the royal bow because of it's ability to set your own mod, and most of the weapons I have maxed are dependent on their mods.
Another banger. have you played around with Slayer mutator? 20% dmg on reload, seeing as bow is reload after 1 shot its constant uptime, then at max rank it has 15% reload speed which kinda makes up for the lack of super charger. Obvs lose the crit chance though! also, what about full moon circlet amulet? 3% lifesteal then at max health 20% dmg inc? considering you barely get hit! ontop of that, there is Akari war band, perfect dodges (which you do alot of) gives 15% crit chance and 15% crit dmg. Just food for thought!
i used that in my first bow build and did alot of dps tests. you get a MASSIVE dps decrease using another mutator :/ plus this build relies on crit chance alot. the ring is a solid choice tho im looking into what exactly counts as a perfect dodge tho. mainly cuz alot of these bosses you see me melting them before they even get an attack off so i wont really benefit from it
In that chainsaw boss have experienced something weird that has him glitch blue? Like the labyrinth color? If you die to him after that the title screen us red and black as if corrupted and says create new character.
i was wondering, why does my crecent bow when activating the mod, the second arrow seems to be really off. In the video it shot in the same place as the crosshair, but mine goes a far down the bottom left, making it shoot the body parts instead of head. Please Help, this reduces the bow damage by a lot and i can't fix it.
You are losing dps by not playing whetstone+ any dps ring(say 30% increased crit dmg). You can easily apply bleed with secondary/throwable and get a lot more crit chance and damage
true. this is just meant to be like a "pure bow" build tho cuz i know lots of new-ish players have scrap/material problems or just dont have the surplus to buy like 50 pipe bombs or max a second mutator due to trying out countless builds. i plan to eventually just make "complete" builds but i don't wanna dedicate too much time yet due to tons of bugs or nerfs that may happen in the near future (such as invader stacks, faerin's sigil, etc)
@@DeityVengy agree about faerin’s, if it’s nerfed we just swap it for stone of balance/cord/whatever. I run the version of this build that’s able to take a hit on apoc with bright steel+leto’s mk1. IMO when they fix invader the ideal all-rounder build that eats anything would be hunter/invader with letos+bright steel with ammy swap of ankh/whetstone on mobs/bosses. Nice to see a fellow bow enthusiast.

is it ever worth holding your shots so you have hunters shroud up for each one, when all cds are popped you don't have time to re stealth if you just shoot em out
the charge time mutator on bow is fastest dps after extensive testing. only option is putting twisting sounds on secondary sbd usobv abrasive whetstone but it's a little too gimicky with all the switching
up to you if you would rather have 10% crit chance or 10-15% more dmg. i was unable to get higher dummy dps with a pure dps amulet and ring. i'm still experimenting with a pure dmg ankh of power relic build tho. there seems to be diminishing returns on each damage bonus but not too sure how it works yet. stuff that looked good on paper for me ended up doing much lower dps for some reason, even accounting for the perfect shot bow bonuses
@@DeityVengy Since you're getting max hp back from the moonlight shots, you could also go for the shield relic and become a lot tankier to supplement that amulet/ring combo.

There's a capsule in Void Vessel Facility that can be opened by interacting with a console next to it, a N'Erud Zombie will come out from it, and inside the capsule you will find the Tightly Wound Coil. there's 2 version of void vessel facility. there's one that has the flood jumping puzzle room, which won't have the zombie console
Glass Cannon that doesn't get oneshot. Idk how you survive some of the hits lmao. I straight up die with my build that's similar. Wouldn't be able to tank Red Prince slash or those tentacles.
ranged dmg still increases crit dmg im pretty sure (but maybe im wrong?) so its just best of both worlds. you could replace weakspot dmg with crit dmg but its probably going to be very variable. may have high dps one time and lower dps another time etc
@@DeityVengy It's probably because the 30% extra damage isn't really 30%. Since the base crit damage is already 150%, that extra 30% is really only increasing your damage output by 20%, and only when you actually crit so it is lower in reality. Whereas a regular damage increase is applicable all the time, including when you crit.
i cant seem to find the burden of the gambler ring, wiki says cass sels it but i do not have it, does it has some special requirements or a sidequest for her to sell it?
i remember it was one of the first rings i saw. it may have something to do with world boss kills. apparently alot of the rings that cass and reggie sell are tied to that
i think they refresh every time you kill a world boss. i've also heard something about changing the system clock while you're in ward refreshes them too

Edit: Ok, i just tested it and it turns out the ring fills your modbar even WHILE the mod is active, which is totally different from all other sources of modgeneration. This answer would have been much more helpful than "faerin's sigil ring".

i tried using supercharger but it makes the bow shoot faster than the 1.15 sec hunter shroud reset is it still fine? i tried slayer and the shroud resets with each full charged shot of the bow. idk if its worth it tho ngl

nightfall builds are pretty boring imo tho. i like playing bow cuz there's more skill involved in aiming and timing your shots. at the end of the day, game is easy on apocalypse with most builds. just play whatever you find fun :D

it's definitely my favorite bow for use bit I'm experimenting with royal hunting bow a little to see if I like certain mods atm

Hugs is cool, I’m using hunter/Challenger my duel shots are hitting 5-5k on crits and when rampage procs I’m hitting 8k-8k

you can get reload speed from somewhere else, but there is only 2 source of increasing charge speed.

If its like the first game, a perfect dodge is any dodge where an attack 'hits' you during your i-frames. good luck

+15? fire rate is from base stat of the gunslinger archetype. are you for sure using te same mutator and charge speed ring as me?
