Tao Trading - getting rid of my Ego is the most difficult task for me, I guess, as I used to build it up as a kind of protection against people, that've manipulated me or pushed me down. Not just to trade to be recognized, seen and perceived as great and not feel afraid any longer by going broke and no longer define the value of myself by matrialistic stuff and how wealthy I am to earn props from people that don't deserve my attention. I really want to believe, that a bigger force is putting it all in my favor, rather it is good or bad, just to put me in a spot, where I fit the best and recognizing that I'm in this process, since i was born. The ego is a bitch who is built to protect you. The trick is noticing it's deception trying to make life "easier" for you; but you need to know it's a lie, do the Tao and then follow that true path instead of the ego getting monkey brain off track. The brain will run away from stress. We need to cultivate negative capacity. Meditation and doing hard things, really practicing DIAPHRAGMATIC BREATH. When stressed. Imagine climbing a mountain and the only thing you care about is standing on the summit so you never take your eyes off the top of the mountain. That means you’re not OBSERVING where you’re placing your feet. You’re so busy STRIVING for the summit that you can’t be bothered to notice that you’re about to step off the side of a cliff because you won’t stop looking at the summit. The time to look at the summit is when you actually get there. In the meantime, watch where you’re placing your feet right now. Yeah, that's just vagueness and pure bs. When you're climbing a mountain, you need to know your gear and how to use it, for which situation, which knot to use, what techniques to apply to pull out your partner from a crevasse, what exact technique to use for what terrain, you need concrete knowledge in meteorology and navigation etc. THIS is what you need to know, not some feel good follow the process as an observer teenager bs that is not applicable in real world scenarios. So, in order to be successful in trading, you need to know the exact strategies, the exact setups in the context of precisely describable market situations etc. But that information is exactly, what no one tells you.
@@macheifachlearning the charts is the easiest part about trading. Hardest part is the mental battle. New traders, especially young men, immediately gloss over this stuff and disregard it. They only want the charts. I was there myself when I was a brand new trader. The truth is the hardest battle is fought in your mind. Learning your strategy is important, but if you can't control your negative thoughts and emotions, no amount of T/A will help you.

Tao trading- I am exactly what you described in the video, I made over 100% in my account over a month and thought I had the keys and in reality I was lucky. The market environment changed and became choppy, it lost liquidity and I lost my money trying to force trades instead of watching and observing the movements of this new market. This is pure Gold. I'm not yet an active trader, being currently in the process of researching and informing myself. However, the application of Taoist philosophy resonates highly with me and I think will buoy me towards making that first tentative step towards my goal. Tao Trading. Eye opening video. Don’t strive but observe. Striving means you’re looking for something and this is when you tend to lose. Observing allows price/your set up to come to you. This way you only enter if there’s something actually there rather than entering because you’re “seeing” things.
The "Striving vs Arriving" is a powerful "I AM" message. The profitable trader's stream of consciousness doesn't focus on P/L or W/L(they know that it is a by product of their daily routine); they're always managing the system with the edge in mind. The pitfalls never come because they're always visualizing the tasks that generate success, versus the emotions/ideas that create loss. Observing the day versus trying to win it.

Exceptional video. Thank you! I also wanted to say that when I trade after drinking too much caffeine, my mindset switches from being calm to being "on edge". Caffeine makes me externally focused, more anxious, and much more prone to trading mistakes. Science tells us why... (I have a degree in psychology with an emphasis on neuroscience) Caffeine activates the stress center of the brain and lowers blood flow to the brain by about 25%. It makes us want to move faster (too much dopamine and adrenaline) while dumbing us down. These effects are dose dependent, so the more you intake, the more effect caffeine has on us. So, many will find it helpful to be careful about caffeine intake while trading. There are individual differences, so honor your own response to it. Hope this helps!

Thanks for sharing Tao trading. I am Asian and have known the idea for a long time, but when I was young, I didn't realize what it meant. As I grew older and learned more, it became apparent that building good habits leads to success instead of solely chasing big goals. You never know what will happen tomorrow. I started my ecommerce business and made numerous attempts, but this time I have no specific expectations of what I want to achieve. Instead, I am focusing on doing every part to the best of my ability. I have had some success with this approach. In trading, it's important to learn the fundamentals, start with a small capital, learn from as many failures as possible to adjust your setup and risk management, and taking profit based on the determined prices outlined in your trading plan. By doing the right things consistently, it definitely can scale up your capital and minimize emotional decision making.

To losing half the funded account and i couldn't understand why it happened. Was slowing just unable to trade with the last 3 months in losses again. Thank you for all the wisdom. I went back home on the 4th and saw the family. On the 2nd I ate 7gs of mushrooms outside and went on a crazy trip. Gods energy and light gave me everything. Got back to trading this previous week and I have never traded better. Not in regards to PnL, but more so in regards to execution, patience, and risk management. I know this is a long journey and I must continue to remain focused.

Very true! I've been able to scale from $150K to $489k in this red season because my Financial Advisor figured out Defensive strategies which help portfolios be less vulnerable to market downturns...
I got to start over financially at age 43, I'm in 90% stocks now and 10% exchange-traded REITs. Honestly, I'm fine with it. At retirement I plan to switch over to all dividend stocks and just live off the income, not caring a whit about what the day-to-day prices in the market are.

My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to make investments. Saving is great but investing puts you on a pedestal where you wouldnt have to worry about savings as you do now. This is still the best video ever created on trading psychology, Mark Douglas got nothing on this video seriously. I had originally watched this video, put habits in place and started to do well, I then popped my head out of the process based trench and into no mans land, I started to care about scaling and making more and more money ; I over leveraged and got overconfident and wanted to be on the same level as my peers, guess what happened. I lost all that i had made. Building good habits will make you profitable, but always running and never stopping or letting your guard down mentally will allow you to continue to keep that money. Tao trading ! Thanks for the vid !! I’ve been trading since 7/20201 and had my first profitable weeks from 8/19/24 thru last Friday. I took a huge loss Monday a smaller on Tuesday and even smaller one yesterday. I took 5 profitable trades today and made 5% . My supposed goal is 1% but I’d been make 2-3.7% during that winning streak. When I spoke to my coach today I kept mentioning a trade that I “missed.” He seemed a bit disappointed in me and told me that we would focus on my mindset moving forward 😬 I get it now. I was starting to lose track of the good habits that had finally gotten me some results . Without any focus it’s so easy to get disillusioned while trading. Thank you !!

Tao Trading I am in a moment where I am coming back to trading after having lost a lot during my first year, took about a 6 month break and am coming back slowly trading on ICMarkets mostly USTEC and DE40 but some commodities/forex as well. I have been taking the journey slower than the first time, journaling my trades and aiming to follow my rules/setups. It's been a rather interesting and different experience from what I was accostumed to. Tao Trading - getting rid of my Ego is the most difficult task for me, I guess, as I used to build it up as a kind of protection against people, that've manipulated me or pushed me down. Not just to trade to be recognized, seen and perceived as great and not feel afraid any longer by going broke and no longer define the value of myself by matrialistic stuff and how wealthy I am to earn props from people that don't deserve my attention. I really want to believe, that a bigger force is putting it all in my favor, rather it is good or bad, just to put me in a spot, where I fit the best and recognizing that I'm in this process, since i was born. The ego is a bitch who is built to protect you. The trick is noticing it's deception trying to make life "easier" for you; but you need to know it's a lie, do the Tao and then follow that true path instead of the ego getting monkey brain off track. The brain will run away from stress. We need to cultivate negative capacity. Meditation and doing hard things, really practicing DIAPHRAGMATIC BREATH. When stressed. Force a breath up adrenaline asshole.

When you're climbing a mountain, you need to know your gear and how to use it, for which situation, which knot to use, what techniques to apply to pull out your partner from a crevasse, what exact technique to use for what terrain, you need concrete knowledge in meteorology and navigation etc. THIS is what you need to know, not some feel good follow the process as an observer teenager bs that is not applicable in real world scenarios. So, in order to be successful in trading, you need to know the exact strategies, the exact setups in the context of precisely describable market situations etc. But that information is exactly, what no one tells you.

They only want the charts. I was there myself when I was a brand new trader. The truth is the hardest battle is fought in your mind. Eye opening video. Don’t strive but observe. Striving means you’re looking for something and this is when you tend to lose. Observing allows price/your set up to come to you. This way you only enter if there’s something actually there rather than entering because you’re “seeing” things.
The "Striving vs Arriving" is a powerful "I AM" message. The profitable trader's stream of consciousness doesn't focus on P/L or W/L(they know that it is a by product of their daily routine); they're always managing the system with the edge in mind. The pitfalls never come because they're always visualizing the tasks that generate success, versus the emotions/ideas that create loss. Observing the day versus trying to win it.

Exceptional video. Thank you! I also wanted to say that when I trade after drinking too much caffeine, my mindset switches from being calm to being "on edge". Caffeine makes me externally focused, more anxious, and much more prone to trading mistakes. Science tells us why... (I have a degree in psychology with an emphasis on neuroscience) Caffeine activates the stress center of the brain and lowers blood flow to the brain by about 25%. It makes us want to move faster (too much dopamine and adrenaline) while dumbing us down. These effects are dose dependent, so the more you intake, the more effect caffeine has on us. So, many will find it helpful to be careful about caffeine intake while trading. There are individual differences, so honor your own response to it. Hope this helps!

As I grew older and learned more, it became apparent that building good habits leads to success instead of solely chasing big goals. You never know what will happen tomorrow. I started my ecommerce business and made numerous attempts, but this time I have no specific expectations of what I want to achieve. Instead, I am focusing on doing every part to the best of my ability. I have had some success with this approach. In trading, it's important to learn the fundamentals, start with a small capital, learn from as many failures as possible to adjust your setup and risk management, and taking profit based on the determined prices outlined in your trading plan. By doing the right things consistently, it definitely can scale up your capital and minimize emotional decision making.

To losing half the funded account and i couldn't understand why it happened. Was slowing just unable to trade with the last 3 months in losses again. Thank you for all the wisdom.
My takeaway is James's words. Need to look at the habits for the day as red or green days rather than the money. I think that's what I was trying to do when I was profitable and then started losing money as soon as I got excited about the prospect of making money. You sir have given me a lot to think about. I went back home on the 4th and saw the family. On the 2nd I ate 7gs of mushrooms outside and went on a crazy trip. Gods energy and light gave me everything. Got back to trading this previous week and I have never traded better. Not in regards to PnL, but more so in regards to execution, patience, and risk management. I know this is a long journey and I must continue to remain focused.

but always when im taking on these challenge for prop firm accounts im failing at the end of these challenges even so it looked like i would pass it with ease in the beginning.
its because i put expectation in to every trade which brings me closer to passing the challenge, because i know a big funded account would probably change my life.
but this expectation is destroying my process of passing a challenge.

I got to start over financially at age 43, I'm in 90% stocks now and 10% exchange-traded REITs. Honestly, I'm fine with it. At retirement I plan to switch over to all dividend stocks and just live off the income, not caring a whit about what the day-to-day prices in the market are.

My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to make investments. Saving is great but investing puts you on a pedestal where you wouldnt have to worry about savings as you do now. But then i started to enjoy studying English and automatically i saw my mistakes and got successful. This is still the best video ever created on trading psychology, Mark Douglas got nothing on this video seriously. I had originally watched this video, put habits in place and started to do well, I then popped my head out of the process based trench and into no mans land, I started to care about scaling and making more and more money ; I over leveraged and got overconfident and wanted to be on the same level as my peers, guess what happened. I lost all that i had made. Building good habits will make you profitable, but always running and never stopping or letting your guard down mentally will allow you to continue to keep that money. I’ve been trading since 7/20201 and had my first profitable weeks from 8/19/24 thru last Friday. I took a huge loss Monday a smaller on Tuesday and even smaller one yesterday. I took 5 profitable trades today and made 5% . My supposed goal is 1% but I’d been make 2-3.7% during that winning streak. When I spoke to my coach today I kept mentioning a trade that I “missed.” He seemed a bit disappointed in me and told me that we would focus on my mindset moving forward 😬 I get it now. I was starting to lose track of the good habits that had finally gotten me some results . Without any focus it’s so easy to get disillusioned while trading. Thank you !!

I am in a moment where I am coming back to trading after having lost a lot during my first year, took about a 6 month break and am coming back slowly trading on ICMarkets mostly USTEC and DE40 but some commodities/forex as well. I have been taking the journey slower than the first time, journaling my trades and aiming to follow my rules/setups. It's been a rather interesting and different experience from what I was accostumed to. Your video showed me that it's a matter of understanding the mindset you have to be in to get into that flow state, I'm definetly going to look more into philosophy.💯💯💯

Tao Trading - After having some huge success in the last few years trading crypto only to give a ton of it back this year, I've been banging my head against the wall. This has been one of the most mentally challenging parts of my life. Watching this video for me was like taking a step back. I realize now there is no way I can be successful when I put the weight of comparison of past performance and expectations of the future on every single day and every single trade. As I think back now to anything I have truly become successful in in my life, it was when I focused on the process and not the outcome.
