Right after I did that, I knew it was wrong lol. I didn't wanna take the action back tho. For some reason I was thinking blast breath was going to mess things up but I was already at high don lol

At the end why not attach 1 don to Paulie swing for 7 then swing 9 with kid and remove the one don from Paulie instead of returning it from the active don?

i think he'd get the don back with leader and can gurantee the life gets taken with the kid swing

I want to swing for 9k+ everytime to ensure the hits land. 7k is a bit too low to go for game

You can just attach 3 don to make Paulie swing 9k instead of attaching 1 don to have him swing 7, doesn't really matter. Swinging anything but Paulie first there costs you 1 don on the all-in (not that it mattered in this position, but it's a good habit to have). Example math:
9k, 9k, 9k, 13k (if you attack with Kid first) - or -
9k, 9k, 9k, 14k (if you attack with Paulie first and use Kid's -1 effect on the don attached to Paulie and use Leader ability to get that don back)
Always try to avoid using Kid's -1 effect on an active don if possible. Use the -1 on a don that was already used (either rested don or attached don that was used to attack)

@@alamlion while that's normally my strat against other decks, I was worried about punk Gibson so I wanted the big boys to swing first to ensure I had don available to commit in case. But yes I agree in most cases to do as you described

I wouldn't have won there, he had 5k counter in hand and his luffy was up 2k. I just assumed he had at least 5k in hand, plus whatever was in life so going for game was not the move there. Doffy basically froze his whole board and gave me extra pressure for the next turn. I truely believe I made the smart play here. The blocker got me though.
