- Six Sigma Concept Explained in brief. Dear All, few viewers are confused and have misinterpreted the calculation. So, I am clarifying their doubt. Six Sigma is counted from both sides of the mean (Average Limit). ±6σ. That does not become 12σ. Although many sites wrongly count Six Sigma between the lower limit and the upper limit of the bell curve. The right counting of Six Sigma is between Average (Middle) and the Acceptable Limits in both directions.

Both the differences and similarities between six sigma and lean six sigma was clearly stated and I would recommend anyone to go for KPMG lean six sigma certification as it is the combination of two in one.

ek baar me samjha diya aapne sir.... mai ulta hi chal rha tha ki 6 sigma mins 3.4 ppm but if we achieve 6 sigma it means we overcome 99.996% of defect and 3.4 is remaining... like it sir
