they were garifuna in the americas long before 1797,our history didnt start with no shipwreck,in 1802 the southern boundry of belize was the sibun river,which is 36 miles from the nearest garifuna town,get it famous 36,so to say that garifuna settled in belize is a british colonial lie that they have in their libraries,musuem,and what they teach in their schools as history,and because of laziness we believe it and continue to regurgitate it,and celebrate it,every 19th,the french and spainards who encountered the garifuna nearly a hundred years before the british have a total different account of the black caribs.

I made this documentary over 20 years ago and at that time from all the Garifuna people I spoke with and the reseach I did I tried to be as accurate as possibe, but new information changes that.
