Very good video, easy to follow. I’ve been using a Canon Pro 100 and am considering a change to pigment based inks. What is your experience with pigment vs dye, especially with B&W? Thanks for the video!
I have a dark room but need to print color for a small photography and framing business I am setting up in next month or so. Re search led me to the Epson P900 I am buying soon so this video is very timely. Printing from Lightroom makes the most sense as you have shown in this the print workflow. I have an ok benQ 2780 monitor. It's not the on the high end, Question is, does the Calibrite you recommend effective with these 10 bit color monitors? Keep up the dark room and digital comparisons . TH-cam channels are split between the film is not dead crowd who use digital printing but really have no clue on the technology and home work flow - simply handing off to their local lab Vs digital only crowd who do not shoot film and certainly do not print film to digital. So your channel has a unique perspective. Well you know what I'm getting at - so make more videos as I need to someone to figure this stuff out for me!
@@MrBiginvegas Thank you! Don’t have a definitive answer for you on the monitor. I believe that it will be worthwhile and give more accurate and consistent prints as I have used similar devices with comparable dell monitors and it helped considerably
I'm starting to think you are spying on my To-Do list! I haven't been printing for several years and need to get a printer AND also know that calibrating the monitor is critical. Years ago I had a Spyder and no matter what I did, it never suggested any adjustments ( I believe I was using it correctly) and, as such, the prints were always just a little different from the screen. Thanks for running thru the LR soft proofing process. Your content is consistent high quality and helpful.

@@danbuchman7497 Thank you! I love the pigment especially for black and white. Downside is if you do not print often they tend to clog.
