National Park Mavrovo | Peak Sandaktash And Mavrovo Lake

Beautiful forestry area in Mavrovo National Park.
First, summiting the peak Sandaktash at an altitude of 1,956 meters. After the summit, we descended to Mavrovo Lake and we had barbecued sausages for lunch.
The beginning of the hiking trail consists of dense green forest with lots of water streams.
After breaking through the forest you'll be welcomed by a great view of the lake which will appear on your rear side, so, throwing a glance behind yourself is a must while hiking uphill.
When you pass the sheepfold is actually the last hour (depends on your vigor) of the trip. That's when you start summiting the peak. The peak itself will give you an amazing 360 view of the lake and the adjacent mountains.
