12-1-2022 - - - - Here's the short version: Tube (straw) immersed into liquid. Squeeze trigger compresses a spring against the trigger and contents of cylinder are compressed with a piston. Compressed contents flow past a ball that is pressed against a gasket (o-ring) by spring. Compressed contents ejected through small port in nozzle to the outside air. After trigger released, the spring re-seats the ball against the o-ring blocking reverse flow. Trigger is released and trigger spring forces piston back creating vacuum in the straw sucking more water into the compression chamber of piston. - - - - There, fixed it for you. The sprayer shown in this video doesn't have a spring/ball/o-ring assembly in it. The sprayer in the video is a more simple mechanism. Better sprayers have the ball/spring/o-ring assembly style. Good luck. Don't use bleach in sprayers without rinsing out with water afterwards to wash bleach off of the internal parts - or they will dissolve/rot and leak, making sprayer into junk. (Cheers - ex-engineer).

You only have to tell us one time how the volume decreases in the pressure increases. You left out a key part, the one-way valve that prevents the water from going back into the bottle
I have one with a ballbearing and soft washer and a small piece of plastic. I bought the amber glass spray bottle from Grove. Could I get assistance with putting this back together? The video was very helpful. Thank you for sharing.
Placed in a closed bottle, Does it create vacuum or is there air incoming to the bottle for replacing the ejected liquid? (I don't think it creates vacuum, else, at some moment, it would be almost impossible to continue ejecting liquid).
I’m not 100% sure but I think that if you mean inside the little thing where the spring is, when it empty’s out then since there is empty space the water tries balancing so it goes up. Again I’m not 100% sure
Also pls spare a mention about the valves.. These are very important in keeping the liquid from flowing back. Also when the piston expands the cylinder, the liquid is brought into cylinder
Exactly related to this I have a doubt. When cylinder expads after spraying water, what is stopping from air to get sucked in due to low pressure instead of water getting sucked up? A value in nozzle?
the nozzle is one way (air cant come in when trigger is released) because its similar to, for example, a vacuum hose sucking a big object larger than the hose mouth. but in this example, the big object is something inside the nozzle. @@TechCornerWithAjay

I might be wrong, but giving a try. When the presses the plunger/lever/whatever, it pushes the piston in upward direction. By pushing the piston upwards, we increase the pressure and decreases the volume in cylinder. As the one end of cylinder is connected to nozzle, whatever matter (liquid water or air ) is in cylinder runs to nozzle. In nozzle, kinetic energy thus velocity of fluid is increased on the expense of pressure. When we leave the plunger, piston runs back to it's normal position, thus increasing volume and decreases pressure in cylinder fall below the pressure of fluid in the container ( bottle ). As the downward end of cylinder is connected to the bottle through pipe, due to differences in pressure, fluid start moving from high pressure area to low pressure area. Thus we have fluid/water in cylinder.
I have another problem. I had a pesticide in the bottle, so I wanted to wash it out. I screwed off the nuzzle, and then while rinsing the bottle, that small inner plastic thingie of the nozzle flew out. I put it back and screwed the cap on but now when I spray, I don't get a mist but just a tiny stream out. Ok, it's "good enough", but it doesn't cover a wide surface anymore, because it sprays to a single point 😀 I tried to turn the cap both ways to adjust but it did not get the mist back. Not sure, what happened - maybe there was one more plastic piece inside that plastic thingie, and I lost it. Wondering if I can find something to replace it.
This could be good but you did not mention the valves. the most imporatant part? maybe. Unless I did not hear you perhaps...does it have check valves or some means to move in one direction? I like the idea of doing this video thank you. also the sound was not easy to understand. Not being mean... just interested in this simple machine.

You know I did one stupid thing. I put a little compost into the bottle , hoping to bathe my plants in an invigorating spray !! Imagine my pain when the sprayer stopped working. I felt ashamed of my foolishness. I havr failed my plants.. How can i redeem myself ? ( Want to repair it)

So the nozzle does not necessarily need to be perpendicular to the vertical tube. It could be rearranged to spray upward?
