Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Dr Ramani (one of the top gurus on B personality types, of more particularity naecissism, but she does touch on psychopathy) says it can be environment or genetics, though in my formal study of psychology, they also say what causes personality (in general, not in specific reference to psychopathy) could be a mixture, though Dr Ramani could have said this, too, I just can't remember and I don't want to put words in her mouth...notably, she has a TH-cam channel.
With that said, there is a guy who calls himself an "environmental sociopath" (he's also on TH-cam) who talks about brain scan studies of sociopaths (a term that is notably not in the DSM but is used interchangeably with psychopaths, or to describe psychopathy, which is in the DSM) to find out if one can tell the difference between a sociopath and a non-sociopath. He does get his brain scanned and shows the images.
Might be worth a watch.
