They are gorgeous, but I have to say that Nikolai is certainly a dancer unique, really extraordinary, I've been watching ballet for more than 20 years of all kinds of dancers, companies, and Nikolai is for me the number one, not only for his technique, excellent, also because he is living the music while he dances, he is, I repeat, unique in the ballet world, thank you very much for the amazing paquita video, the ballerina is superb too, her variation is excellent, but I have to admit that Nikolai is breathtaking, probably the best dancer in the world of all times, yes, all times. That is my humble opinion 😉💖
@@KSfan4ever thank you. I was very lucky when I saw him dancing the prince in sleeping beauty in 2001 or 2002, now I can't remember exactly the year, but it was then, and since those performances I've been following his successful career. He certainly will remain as the best Russian dancer, in my opinion, better than Noureev or barishnikov,, though I like both very much. 👍😊

It amazes me how young is Vorontsova here and yet complimented with Nikolai! Thank you for this, I've seen bootlegs of this before but not at this quality
Totally Amazing.... I feel deeply sorry because I was not able to watch this fantastic ballet dancer LIVE!!! By my opinion he is the best of the best male ballet dancers ever! What incredible technique.... what a beautiful appearance.... what a huge, great artist!!! My best wishes to him and warm regards from Belgrade, Serbia.
Yes, the whole of the Grand Pas exists. However, instead of ballerinas performing Paquita variations, the Male Principals dance various solos from different ballets. It was a Gala in honor of the great teacher Pyotr Pestov who trained, among many other stars - Nikolai Tsiskaridze!
@@zaslanec2273 It doesn't matter where his teachers studied, he danced this at Bolshoi and he danced at the gala on his teacher's birthday (Piotr Pestov) who was his teacher at Bolshoi Academy, it was 3 years before he became a rector and teaching method in Russia is the same in all schools, based on Vaganova's book
I would not agree that all ballet training in Russia is based on Vaganova. I can spot a Vaganova ballerina such as Svetlana Z. (Bolshoi) due to upper body and arms. Also more finesse. Bolshoi is more athletic and it’s male dancers shine.
