Thank you so much for sharing this part of my grandfather! You have many of my family crying when we watch it. 💕 This ship meant so much to my grandfather... Even while suffering dementia he wanted to always know when he could go back to get it...
Mr. Nill was Great Person.. I saw him During the period of MANPAVAN Modification... Rip 😭 Now this days ship 🛳 also No more... Totally Damaged Scrap Because of No one Taking care of it... 😭
@toni Fawcett...anjanwel is my native place. I visit my hometown every year in Summer days. In my childhood days i used to visit manpawan and Niel sir gives us chocolates, fruits and sweets too. He even plays cricket with us local boys in the evening. He was a really good human being. May his soul rest in peace 🙏. Good childhood memories strikes again. Big thanks to you for this vlog @amit j
This was my Uncle. I really appreciate the story. He Always wanted to go back. He was tied up from sailing I believe due to laws. At least that is what I was told by him. We all miss him so much. I so appreciate this, we would never have known but for your film. Thank you. God bless. The man Neil Bruder lived a full and rich life. And his main wish in all of his travels was to let people know of God’s love for them and that God had sent His Son for a Savior for mankind. That Jesus Christ was the answer to all problems and sorrows. Neil is rejoicing in heaven with his Savior.
Thank you Jenny. I heard from the villagers that Mr. Bruder was a very kind hearted person. He use to help people, especially the elderly. The Killekars now told me that he held the lock with both his hands and kissed it before he left for America. It's really touching.
I met, and worked with Neil over a summer in Onaway, removing a big hill of dirt so a church could be built. We had a great friendship and he tried to talk me into going on the voyage from India to Michigan in this very boat. Thank you for reconnecting me with my old friend! Till we meet in heaven...
This is an amazing story and so well made! Sad that such a beautiful ship was wasted. It seems that the ship and its new Captain had a connection. The lock was made the same year as he was born. Seems like the ship had a heart and mind of its own. It waited for its captain for a long time and when it realized he is going to die, it decided to get destroyed and washed away into the ocean in that cyclone.
Thank you Amit and Team for bring all my childhood memories spent under the shadows of this beautiful and wonderfully crafted ship. I grew up with amazing stories still feel pride to know my great grandfather owned and treasured it until was passed on to Mr Druder. Sad to know he is no more as young boy I had chance to meet and interact with him on the shore. May his soul Rest In Peace.
I was working at RGPPL , Anjanwel from 2008 to 2016, and also saw this ship a few times during my visit to Gopalgad fort and nearby areas, but I didn't knew this story. Thanks for the informative documentary.
Thank you amit for such wonder story..I met Mr.Neil .he know few Marathi word also to communicate with local . Last time I met him when he was buying some fish at Anjanwel market. ...he was jolly person
Lovely narration, beautiful voice and English. It really inspired me to be more vigilant and good observer. Thanks for sharing this beautiful video with me. 🙏😊
Nice film brother. I'm native to Anjanvel, Sutarwadi. Well I'll like to let you know that this boat was built by my great grandfather, grandfather and his team. 😅 And I asked my father, history of this boat and he told me that Mr. Neil Bruder didn't got permission to take this boat to America.
Thank you Saurabh. I am native to Dabhol from my mother's side. Yes I was told the same thing about the permission part initially. I also got multiple feedback from others so I chose not to mention till I had enough proof. BTW would it be possible to meet your father? It will be my honor. If yes, please share your contact number on amitjaokar@gmail.com so that I can call you. Thanks again bro.

@@TooliusTech Bro I got to take some lessons from you on the audio recording part. I struggled for 2 days refining the voiceover recoding. Yet couldn't get it 100% right. I'm sure you noticed.
Does a man come from America for work or does he fall in love with an old ship? In a dream, in old age, a ship is ready to sail with the steering wheel in hand. Does he get a license only for permission, does he live in the hope of one day coming and unlocking the ship ....! But destiny accepted something different. He was also installing a lock on the ship in the old days, which shows his point of view towards it. In the end, the lock of the ship could not be opened. An old man's old ship ...!
