Great job sharing! I had a pre eclampsia seizure with my first because I also chalked all my symptoms up to regular pregnancy. I’m now 32 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and showing signs but lucky to be aware of it this time and closely monitored.

That's very helpful to know that symptoms aren't always concurrent. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you for your video. I wished I saw this before my experience. I feel like my doctor completely ignored all my symptoms until it got bad. I did have severe swelling and blurry vision and a pain in my right side but the doctor said since there was no protein in my urine, that I was fine. I ended up having pre eclampsia so severe that I got swelling in the brain and fluid in the lungs and liver damage. I posted my own video.

@@Sharingiscaringg1929 My baby just turned one. Everything returned to normal except my liver so we're monitoring my blood work for liver function. My baby is still very healthy. I'm trying to be healthy and exercise.

How did you treat the preeclampsia after delivery

    • @MariahTravis

Hello. After delivery I had to stay on a low dose of the blood pressure medication for 6 weeks then I had to go to a 6-week and 10-week doctor's appointment to check my blood pressure. Once my blood pressure was checked at my follow-up appointments they took me off the medication and I was back to normal. Honestly, in the future if we try for a final baby I may try to see if I should get on meds before the pregnancy.

@@MariahTravis Thank you for your response. I had my baby at 32 weeks last week due to preeclampsia. So I’m trying to get help cause my legs are still swollen and my vision is blurry. I really should visit a doctor.

@@khomotsolubisi3391 Yes, please go in sis. My legs went down after a week. Kaisley only spent 3 weeks in the NICU so I pray your little one comes home soon. Try to get an appointment this week if you can to be sure nothing is wrong. Also check your blood pressure at home. I checked-in mine every 2 days for about 6 weeks just to be sure my blood pressure went down and stayed down. I bought a blood pressure cuff on Amazon for the low. I also ate really health as well for a few weeks after having her. I also had gestational diabetes while pregnant with her on top of all of this so that brought on more stress. After I had her the diabetes went away thank The Most High.
