Still one of the most incredible bands in existence, after all these years...

In 1976 when punk was hitting CBGB and The Roxy Wire was the one punk band that was already ahead of the curve. Their sounds on the Roxy LP were the cream along with The Buzz focus. Their first LP Pink Flag was quick, loud and aggressive, seeing Wire st CBGB pre Chairs Missing they already added to their sound and were laying the field for many post punk bands(Joy Division). Their first three loss made them icons in a short two year period. All their early singles kicked ass and are played by my grandson often. Wire is finally getting some credit with their Pink Flag LP find its place in most top 10 punk albums. Great content and thanks for sharing, be well.

Love Robert Grey- so consistent truly impressive-- it's so hard to simply to do a great job and do it consistently. Spanning 6 decades, my God! Saw you at Metro, Chicago 87. Hardly different from this clip. You are very much the Grey matter- structure, support, a quiet lesson by example. Good on you.
Wire is like the harpsichordist Wanda Landowska- for instance- great performer(s), but they just have this extra passion and love for what they do, and share it openly without fanfare. So cool.
The album music on SBR was more sedate- but this song to me was always about the poetry- painting an image every bit as artful as the best of a Nabokov narrative. Wire loves art and shares it with their fans. You opened up other areas of art to me. Graham Lewis- so awesomely low-key cool.
"chairs missing" what a great title- just makes you think why; love they way you are revisiting your early work- it had a lot of positive effect on me and it's still relevant and artful as ever.
    ---Love you guys

I actually think the Manscape album is excellent, but it seems to be the one that Wire, or at least Colin, doesn't rate. You Hung Your Lights In The Trees / A Craftsman's Touch is up there with my favourite Wire songs.

I'm actually getting used to Matthew, he obviously fits, kind of neat to see the band spanning generations. What if they just kept doing this- it'd interesting to see how they changed.

Sorry, but I just can't get comfortable with Colin's ponytail. It is very nice to hear him mention the Fall though - just it was great when an ex-member of the Fall played a Wire song on Radio 6 15 years ago and referred to them simply as "the masters".....
