After a long flight, Spike and Small reach the shores of Australia. They go to look for food and are captured by a tribe of platypuses. To win their sympathy and support, the martens invent a lie that they are running away from horrible beasts - a spotted one and a striped one - which, by the way, are big egg lovers. Meanwhile, Leo, Tig and their friends also land in Australia. The kittens go on reconnaissance to find out what kind of country it is. They don’t take Martick with them because he is too young. The platypuses capture Leo and Tig and accuse them of the disappearance of an egg. Martick, who followed them, sees that and, with the help of Cuba, finds the real thieves of the egg - Spike and Small, who are already going to fly away with the platypus egg. While Cuba is distracting the martens, Martick is running to the platypuses for help. The heroes manage to win back the egg. The platypuses free Leo and Tig, host all friends in their village and tell them a legend about Split Earth, which explains why there are so many unusual animals in Australia.
