I just wanted to say I absolutely love this series you've made. Jak & Daxter along with Lord of the Rings were probably two of the biggest media influences on me when I was growing up, and I've been playing it since pretty much day 1. But getting to see the game's many secrets and features like this along with your wonderful narration is an absolute delight. Thank you for all the wonderful and hard work you've put into these videos.

Man your videos are pure poetry and as someone interested in indie game development, your videos give a lot of wonderful insight to one of my all time favorite games, why it resonates so much with people and how the level design and details mesh together so well. The fact that with so little, game developers were able to create so much, for us to theorize about. The parallel you drew between will-o-the-wisps and yellow eco is a fascinating idea! Every time I watch one of these videos I become so lost in the intricate details that it's like someone is telling a story of forbidden or buried knowledge in an ancient book to me. I love your use of descriptive words to ascribe a certain meaning and purpose to the smallest pieces in the environment. I've never heard someone really deep dive into the material of TPL better than you and narrate the parts of it's world with the same element of mystery and mysticism you feel when exploring the game on foot. I find that all your theories pair up naturally with the mythos and resonant strongly with me. I could honestly picture you doing a perfect novelization of a Jak & Dax story with this format. I always appreciate your effortful creativity. I'm a little late to the video (life of course getting in the way) but I look forward to each of your endeavors! You're a stellar writer and narrator.

Boggy Swamp has always been my favorite level in Jak 1. It simply drips with atmosphere. Wet, muggy, and treacherous at every step with that somber track playing all the time. I love to stand at the pier and look out on the ocean. It's so calming.
I still stand on the pier myself to this day, it's incredible that a 3d platformer that was created so early in the PS2's life cycle could evoke such an emotional response - and such a somber one at that too!
I love riding the Flut Flut through this area

@@derrinmaloney1039 Always loved those as a kid! Hell I loved the geology in all the volcanic crater levels. The geologist in rock village needs to move.
I theorize that the potential lab spot for the yellow sage is the area where Billy lives. Those platforms in the spot likely aren't lurker made, as only the rats are capable of traversing through the tar.
We see that the rock platforms are either on land, or build next to precursor pistons. The platforms we see in Billy's area have nothing precursor related, aside from the transpad.
Those platforms were part of Yellow's old lab/home. He used the transpad to move just outside of Gol and Maia's Citadel, and relatively recently based on how small and how trashed the Yellow's lab is.
Excellent theory, the trans pad would certainly be conveniently located for moving all his stuff to the Citadel - better than getting moving trucks any day 😂
It’s genuinely astounding to me how great these videos are. Your poetic interpretation of the games have fundamentally changed how I view them, and it was one of your videos which renewed my passion for the series. Especially with TPL, there’s such charm to the whole world it creates and you highlight it in a way I hadn’t even thought to verbalize. Absolutely love where you take it all! Can’t wait for more!!!

It could be a whole robot! I went with the arm as it would make sense with Klawe being nearby, but it's just as plausible that an intact robot is down there given how durable they are ^^

In the development bible there was a plan for the yellow sage to have his own village but they scrapped that. I have never really figured out why his lab is where it is, maybe he was in the citadel before Gol and Maia showed up. All I know is he was suppose to have his own place and I think he was just put out front the citadel as a last resort just to include his lab in the game.
Edit: It helps to explain why there is an active portal outside the citadel
