I'll always love what a drastic difference there is between VF4FT and VF5FS. In VF4 combos are so short that getting three hits in is hype as hell, and then in VF5 combos are comparatively long and absolutely devastating. I have so much love for this franchise. Long live Virtua Fighter.
Akira is one of the best characters in VF the only problem is he's hard to use its impossible to do those insane combos but he's still one of the best and strongest characters in Virtua Fighter

I personally am a late virtua fighter. it wasn't until i bought 4 that i realized how deep it was. the first one i owned. both titles are good for what they do. congrats again on video.
Also, Tekken has panda bears, and robots, and people coming back to life, and people doing stuff that is beyond impossible. Its a fine game, its just . . . silly.

akira has 2 knees: 1)K+G,P, useless outside of a combo ender in juggles, and 2)K+G, release G in 1 frame, which juggles on normal hit. akira now just lifts his leg slightly instead of jumping up. the old one(jumping knee) could be used to beat people who low punched you due to the jumping animation if timed correctly. the new one can't do that. but it can hit people on the ground, which is what makes it so good.
Well, after watching some other videos of Vitua Fighter 5, he does that hopping knee strike. In Final Tuned, players can custom their favorite fighters moves, to either have their original VF4 strike or throw or Evolution's. Final Tuned can make you pick Akira's jumping knee or hopping knee.
What's up? Now I understand how to do Akira's knee in VF1, but it comands a perfect timing and a high hands' speed what makes it really difficult. Where can I download the music in this video's background?
I rented VF5 for the 360 and, maybe it's the controller, but his kick-to-elbow-to-back move is much harder to do now. It has a much quicker input required. At least the palm-back-double palm is much easier. Just wish his knee launcher was replaced with something simpler, like ->+K+G.

Talking about Akira's knee attack, do you know how to perform it on the PC version of Virtua Fighter 1 and 2? I have done it a few times and I go crazy looking for the key tapping to perform it on purpose. I hope some of you can tell me. If I get it right, it is one of the secret techniques in Virtua Fighter 1 & 2 (PC). I would really apprciate if you at least try. Bye Bye!
This is old... but 0:50 you mess up, you should CD into him before doing the sp-elbow, you get more damage off the SP and with the timing you did, it allows them to TR before the second hit.
Inputs or combos are ALOT easier to do now. I have this in the PS2. But for some reason it didnt occur to sega to assign buttons for the bumpers. With a fight stick you could pull half the combos here. Forget about it for the game pad
it prob is the controller; from all i've heard, the dlc (df+k+g,f+p,b,f,f+p+k) should be easier now. knee should not be easier; it has one of the best stats framewise of all the knee-class launchers. its reward-risk ratio is balanced by the difficulty of doing the move.
Evertyime you did Akira's 3 hit combo, it looked as if you rolled the stick from d/f+K+G to F+P, for the first two hits. I've tried it, but seems like the game needs to register the stick going back to neutral in between the df+K+G and F+P. What am I doing wrong?
care to elaborate? tekken has been way too juggle-oriented since 5; i wish they would've improved upon tekken 4 instead of ditching its style completely.
I never liked Virtua Fighter, instead of fighting people I always felt that I'm fighting against the controller..a simple move requiring two button inputs can be a P.I.A to pull, that's not how a fighting game should be, bad controls doesn't equals deep gameplay mechanics.
Are you kidding right? I mean Akira is hard to use but.... All the inputs for all the others characters are really simple! Virtua Fighter literally has easier controls and inputs than Street Fighter.
