Trying to get to class D first. I will suggest doing Sim-Lab Challenge to increase Safty Rating in D lincense. I hope this suggestion can help you to get A lincense as quick as possible 😀
@@mrquickogaming Real nice. Yeah I’d like to try out iRacing aswell. I’ve even dreamt of the stuff! As a ”hardcore simracer”, if I can even call myself that, I would love to do it but it costs to race and I don’t even have a PC
I really like this cause nick shows how the ranking works and the deep dive into the sim. I have been thinking about getting iracing but I can't afford a PC and I know it would help to have because I am racing in a Spec Miata series irl in 2022 and it would help with more seat time when im not able to get to the track, and I am trying to go into a racing career (I'm 17).
The computer requirements are SUPER LOW you can get a pretty solid setup including the wheel, base, and computer for like 1000$ but any computer you have atm will most likely run the game so possibly 500-700
VR adds a new level of immersion, in a open wheeler it's azaming. Makes it very easy to notice when the car starts to lose traction. On dirt circuits VR even more fun
AYO Nick few suggestions for Iracing. 1 trading paints is awesome (completely custom paints and suits and helmets) and also allows you to see others paints. 2 VRS (Virtual Racing School) PDS (Pure driving school) have good setups and have tutorials for each track and car combo for the week made by pros and can definitely help you find where the limit is. 3 Race labs is a good piece of overlay software that allows you to see how much Irating your getting/loosing as well as where your expected to finish plus it has track maps and other useful things. 4 is only for when you get into other series that require refuelling get JRT or another Fuel calculator to make sure you don’t have to calculate on the fly when racing.
First and only time so far I've played iRacing was at an open house of a local racing team/store so it was on a proper sim rig with movement and everything driving a Renault RS01 on Zolder. Surprisingly enough I only crashed once and went off 1 other time but the pressure on the brake pedal was killing my leg. It was just hot lapping so didn't properly race but holy hell was it fun
@@kak8895 I would argue that there's a good chance it will happen. Horizon has proven to be more profitable and reaches a much wider range of audience compared to motorsport. Hell, they even skipped the latest motorsport to release Horizon 5 instead. And in H5 some festivals have tracks built in to them. Sure they're pretty tame tracks but they could easily start putting festivals next to real world tracks wherever the game may be
I will actually watch this series. I love this game despite constantly dealing with bozos. I'm currently in B class heading for A. It's more about how expensive it is than difficulty
Starting in the back is 100% correct. Even when I start in the back I end up top 5 by the end of the race. This week actually on Lime Rock I went from 17th to 2nd place
How much fun is it when there is nobody that loves bowling, only people who are limited by their own skills. Mistakes are made but it happens and sometimes you are the windshield and sometimes you are the bug, it is what it is; you win some you lose some.
Nick on Twitter lol. He asks, "is iRacing worth it?". 24 hours later: "Brought it. ✅ iRacing stream today?" 8 hours later: "Update: I am now addicted to iRacing 😅😅" Bravo, Nick, Bravo.
You should get Trading Paints, it allows you to use full-on custom paint schemes and see other people's paints too. Adds a lot to the experience. Crew Chief would be good too, it's a better spotter, but it might fuck with your commentary.
I've been watching a bunch of these kinds of videos where someone is trying iRacing for the first time and it never ceases to amaze me how none of the people do any sort of practice before jumping into a race.....
Summ1t was posting 1:00's in his race I noticed and he pulled 2 P1 finishes so that's actually a good measure of where you should be at for Lime Rock. Your chicanes through the tight 2nd gear section were pretty sloppy. if you slow down ever so slightly more you can coast right through the center of that chicane in 2nd/3rd and power out fairly straight for a solid exit as well. Just a few pojnters for ya Nick
fyi the Pro-license can only be obtained if you manage to qualify for the iRacing world championships, and you will lose it if you stop participating in one. Its not a public license per say, the championship races are held at specific dates kinda like real racing and only the fastest get to race in them... there are no splits in them like regular series. :P But most people obviously just do public ranked races so they split into appropriate grids depending on how many people signup. The licenses arent easy to lose, but might take some time to get initially. Its also not an indication of skill, just tells you what series you can access... "A" obviously giving the fastest cars, also in many ways the hardest. iRating is the closest thing you can think of skill rating, but it isnt the most accurate either... usually anyone above 2k are better than rookies and anyone above 4k are very fast while 6k+ are aliens and pros. (theres one guy in the service who has 11k rating, but hes not automatically the best driver... he is on par with the best however)
Try Automobilista 2 in VR. You will never go back. But I would suggest the valve index, because it has built in headphones and sound great. But I think IR has VR ALSO
You should try formula vee it’s for rookies and it is road racing. It is a little harder than the mx5 but there is a lot more closer racing and it’s a lot of fun.
Ok so iRacing is AMAZING! What should I try next?

You should play gt sport
Maybe you should try wreckfest? I think you'd enjoy the damage physics.
No peel p50 video?!
try it with xbox controller
iRacing is a rollercoaster of emotions, and Nick is the latest victim to have fallen
Is it worth doing iracing?
@@mrquickogaming I mean, if Sim racing is life, definitely yes. But it is really expensive which is a problem

A game about being a safe and clean driver. Safe and Clean two words not associated with Nick. Crash and spoon yes!

best of luck on your driving adventure sir. may you grace the podiums along your miata adventures this year
If you cant afford a PC, beware of iRacing. The tracks and cars will cost you an entire PC. (literally ~$800 USD)

Make this like a series Nicky

You should switch your black box(the display in the bottom right) to relative. It shows the space between the cars around you in seconds.
Was just about to comment this
Maybe he wants to see his timings 😂
This game is amazing. Carry on with iracing
ive only done sim racing once and it was on this game with a stiff steering wheel, but boy was it fun. i would always recommend this game
Awesome video 👍👍👍

And have you ever considered upgrading to a direct drive wheelbase?

Some good racing advice I've heard is "Race the course."
Try practicing get on the power more gently and throttle control it’ll help a lot

Wow seeing nick play iracing is kinda weird ive played it aslong as i started watching him 6 years back so😂
that's a weird looking fanatec base
Ain't Max Vestappen an iRacing genius as well?! damn this is insane
@11:13 damn! The red car totally took the green car off the track
yesterday i was at the nascar hall of fame charlottle and i was so good at sim racing area.
(30 second lap time at charlottle motor speedway)
Need to try gran turismo too would be sick to see it in the channel
i like your sim racing videos they are so fun
Highly recommend racing Arca...fun but chaos
“You really need to drive safely” meanwhile max* dive bombing in f1 like it’s forza😂

The best sim game is here
Outside of Oval racing C and above yellows aren't enforced and to most people mean free positions
Nick should have put the little clip of Tiggy in at the end of the stream.
Welcome to your new most expensive game. Also you should try the new Honda Civic in the touring cars
Started in 2014 collected a lot of cars. But I like driving solo and trying to beat my times
Happy new year 2022
why did u not read the iracing pdf I'm reporting you though the official Protests, Section 9
Go get Trading paints and Crew chief V4, it'll help immensely.
Also there is a thing called trading paints and you can get so many paints for any car
Where's the 3rd pedal and a proper manual? Didn't even heel toe once and said he did good lol.
i was expecting Nick to be bad in another racing game but he surprised me
Nick ur wheel ur supposed to go back to a round wheel u have a better driving experience with a circle wheel than a rectangular wheel on a normal car
Dude, get Trading Paints for that next level customization ;)

Nick you need to try dirt oval that is the best and the most fun racing
I had to put the fast line on to learn the tracks initially.
let’s see dirt with the ump modified definitely need throttle control with them
Nick you can upload full on livery’s by using certain websites
Can we have a raymond episode 😩
Try some nascar next!
The MX-5 sounds like a ROTARY!
Would like to see more of that

And? Most gte cars have this steering wheels
I love sim racing videos!
You need to try sim racing in vr!
Trading paint is better customization then the standard iracing designs
Id be down to see more of this than fh5
The stigs slightly derpy Canadian cousin needs more practice...
