It’s very unfortunate, I played “Ready or Not” since VERY early access, and it was much worse than this. All it took was a year or so in early access and lots and LOTS active player feedback to make it a very good game now in full release. GZW is super polished compared to other EAGs and we just need to give honest feedback!

It has many new stuff going for it. I was blown away when i took cover in a house while getting shot at, then the bullets started penetrating the walls and my ears were ringing. That was just freaking awesome!

Yeah the firefights are insane. My favorite moment was when I was in a firefight in tall grass and I could see the bullets impact the vegetation around me
Optimizing for pcs is so much work dude. There’s just so many configs, not to mention drivers. This is a small team so will take them time.

It's a tough situation for sure. Even with all the good will that Madfinger has shown from the private sessions and having a day 1 hotfix, that's still not enough for ppl to wait before being upset about the current state of the game. By all means, be upset, get a refund and try again later if you hate it that much. This is one of the better early access games out there, but it's still going to have those issues.

The scope halving the frame rate is actually pretty simple
Is a second camera, that's rendering the game again in greater detail due to the zoom

The difference in performance is wild! I'm running a 5800x3d with a Sapphire 12gb 6700xt and I'm consistently getting 100 FPS on high settings with fsr on quality.
This game is my new addiction it gives me that kick that GRW did, and a lot of my buddies are along for the ride too you speak mad truths my friend totally earned a sub and I think this game is gonna go the distance it's already leagues better after the first patch and it's only.going to get better as the months go on
It's early access. The bugs are minimal. And the patches are happening. Givem a chance. This game could put the nail in the coffin for Tarkov, since Tarkov has already killed their own game
For me, this Game is like Day Z, Scum and kind of Wildlands and I love this games.

I got the standard edition thinking i wasn't going to get more than 30 mins out of it so why would i care about extra space or gear? Without even realizing it i spent 2.5 hrs and actually really liked it. There may be something very special in this game. Can't wait to it progress!

Another thing that’s in monitor-bashing territory are all of these Tarkov streamers and their sycophants wanting to migrate to this game like parasites. They seem to be begging for the game to be an uber PvP slaughterhouse like Tarkov. They want this to be an apples to apples replacement even though they’ve been repeatedly told that it’s not going to be. In my experience, this game is more like Ghost Recon and nothing like Tarkov.

make sure to use fsr, even if u have an nvidia card, dlss gives me and my buddies 20-30 fps less than fsr and were all 30 series cards.

If you're looking for a looter shooter, then don't buy this game. Not yet at least. There's nothing fun to find. There's no meta progression like unlocking hideout upgrades in Tarkov or anything similar.
You could also just... play the game for the sake of the gameplay and not for some progression gate. You don't always have to be advancing. Sometimes you just need to treat a game like a game.

@@RedBeardMortis I'm glad i haven't bought it, other youtubers agree that Ai sucks, the devs wanted TH-camrs to hype up the game, Doesn't have much content in it, and it came out with the price tag it has I wouldn't touch it with a stick honestly if the price of the game was 15$ and Only had 1 Extra DLC Supporter edition that would have been fine, but like they have 3 different DLC editions that you can buy same tactic from tarkov like wtf?

This game was probably the best 35 dollars ive ever spent, I loved every (working) minute of it, its really sad to see the games reviews on steam, I hope it increases over time
All we can do is leave good reviews and try to guide our friends and other people who enjoy it to do the same
I don’t think people remember Tarkov at their launch was in a WAY WORSE START than this game and it wasn’t even available to everyone upon launch. This game is great, I enjoy it and I think if you do a little bit of research on videos about the game on what you need to know. You are going to be a in a way better state.
I bought and returned GZW. It is a great game. Graphics were amazing. Controls were intuitive, but it's just not my style of game. Thought I'd enjoy it but I just didn't. Might buy it again in the future but I don't see it.

@@RedBeardMortis a friend of mine is a streamer, and he streamed this a couple times, and he enjoys the game, but he was saying he wished the comms had a push to talk option. Mostly so when he's streaming it, what he's saying to the chat isn't broadcast in the game.
@mstairs2007 they do have a push to talk function but sometimes it breaks and doesn't work properly

I have tried to play EFT so many times and I'm just not a fan of the gameplay where i am shitting bricks the whole time. This is so much more my speed and I am looking forward to continue playing it. I am fortunate enough that the performance issues don't really affect me and there are definite teething issues with the servers plus still oberly sponge-y AI, but, it really is conceptually very solid. They have shown us a lot more than other developers to believe that there is enough here to bother supoorting.
If you like the extraction style genre and really want to try something different then definitely get it. The only big exception would be wait out some more optimization if you dont have absolute bare minimum a 3060 Ti and a solid CPU. I get about 105-110 fps avg on an RTX 4080 and 13700k at 4K with textures and a couple of others things turned up (things like shadows, global illumination, and post-processing turned down) adding DLSS quality + frame generation. With frame generation off, I am around 85 fps average.
I'm on a 4070 with comparable CPU, keeping above 100 frames since I'm not playing above 1080. I see the occasional drop to 80ish but I'm not seeing performance issues overall.
My bro on a 3060 laptop has problems when moving into new areas and the helicopter. Gets around 60 in towns with occasional drop.
When it comes to gameplay, the PvE is what I'm looking for for a base product. I'm looking forward to it's future as development goes.
However, I'm not sure about the release window. I don't think it's the best condition for a release since a large majority of people judge everything right when you can buy it.
When it comes to price though, you can get a lot worse for a higher price. Like that whole $70 game push. Or the more recent event.
Phenomenal game. Have patience, tweak your settings and dig in.

I bought the base for 1050 php which is roughly $18.22. To say that this game is worth it is an understatement. Is it rough? Yes it is, but the hell are you gonna expect from a game that is less than a week old in early access? This game also has an active dev team unlike BSG, also I think MFG is bigger so yeah a bigger budget. All in all this game is worth it for $18.22 in my region.
2:36 apparently you can refund you. Just have to word it correctly and get whoever answers your refund. Request to listen lots and lots and lots of people have been getting their DLC refunded
Please make a video telling people that if you use a 3000 series Nvidia GPU use FSR Quality. UNLESS YOU HAVE A 4000 SERIES DO NOT RUN DLSS
My 3060 gives me on average 40-60 fps.
I have noticed many minor glitches, some funny and some frustrating.
Like you said, when this game plays as intended it is fun! Even better with friends!
I’m just so sick of people’s immature vomit. Like seriously, tell me one multiplayer pc game that worked flawlessly day one, in the past 15 years? I for one am excited to see where this game will go in the future. It’s being built on a solid engine with upgradable software that can scale for many years to come. So many people forget how to play a game for “it’s” experience. We’re all guilty of comparison because we like to feel like something is familiar while complaining that it’s familiar 😂.
Just want the optimization to be better is my only complaint, I’m able to run cyberpunk 2077 on 120 fps on medium settings with a 1660 super so I’m hoping once they update that I can at least get 80 fps on medium to low.
I respect mfg doing with this game and i honestly have high hopes. However i dont wanna spend money on it rn as im afriad it could die out like other games. Ill be happy if it suceeds and willing to pay a lot more money for the final release knowing everything is fixed and is better than tarkov $250.... For dlc. Felt like a chump buying edge of darkness

For me the game runs smooth over 130fps constantly max settings. Have made multiple friends also allready in the game. Have died few times to lz campers but well thats on them wasnt carrying any gear anyways 👍.
Nah i played it i hate it because they are working really slow on optimising fps , AI are just like John Wick servers are lagging(if you die you should beg that you can loot it back) this is really bad

The people review bombing GZW about the optimization are most likely either Tarkov white knights or work station queens who got their ego hurt when they saw their expensive rig unable to handle EA optimization.
To avoid exfil campers in the PVP mode, you need to find other LZs. If you keep landing at the default LZ in that area over and over, you are going to keep dying over and over.

I’m on potato graphics and my game looks like Roblox. I got out dated specs but I can run tarkov at a solid 144 frames. Idk what’s going on with the optimization
At first nvidia cards had to use fsr ,but some point they optimizes it andnits good 100 fps now.
i love the game already. met a nice guy today because i told him he looked ugly and has no drip. long story short we became friends and explored the map together got into pvp and had a ton of fun. then he went off and 2 other guys came up to me and told me to join them and i fought couple people with them and extracted a ton of ak and m4 ammo. at the end of my second day i now have 3 LZs right infront of enemy Spawnpoints :D

I have a i7 8700k with a rtx 1070 ti 32 Gb of ram and last night in 15 minutes manage to get good graphics at a stable 60 to 65 fps which is better than what I get in Streets Of Tarkov, I didn’t have much time so I will see tonight I’m sure I can get better.
I think you can pull out god fps with decent graphics out of this game knowing what you’re doing. If you just log in the game and adjust the graphics settings in the game you won’t pull out more than 40fps with a 8 years old system like mine.
To the one crying for fps you just have to know what the F your doing with a PC
The game is not setup for you to get good fps out of the box, same with Tarkov you have to ajuste a LOTS of things in your PC.
Out of the box Gray Zone was giving me 25 fps, you have to understand it’s an Alpha early access
Make sure you're using AMDs FSR set to balanced. I find that give me a 30-35 frame boost having it on
I'm running Ryzen 5 5600, RTX 3060ti and 32gb ram. Playing at 1440p with medium settings fsr on and getting around 80fps with some drops. More than playable.
I am playing PvE right now too and I'm enjoying it, one of the highlights is just stumbling across other players doing the same quest as you and ultimately running a few with them.
I also like that you can earn all the upgrades from the supporter edition in game. So there's absolutely no obligation to buy it.

Delaying it would've been best case scenario but we don't know their financial situation. They didn't crowd fund or do preorders. They could've been in a predicament where, if they didn't ship the game now, they run out of money before the end of the year

Game lacks loot for the amount of buldings there are. All the buildings there is nothing to loot inside lol
They rushed the release because people were complaining that only some youtubers got to play the game. Madfinger caved in and now they are being ravaged by people who do not know what the fuck they want. I trust the game will be good because there's simply too much work put into the gameplay loop. One never knows, but I trust it will be ironed out

I can look past all the bullshit. The game has wrong with it as long as they can fix the crashes losing my gear is extremely frustrating just because of a crash. This game is amazing and I get giddy inside thinking about what it would become.

My buddies and I are really enjoying it even with all its fault. And sure, it would be great if it was polished and optimized, but I find it fascinating to experience what it is, and eventually what it will become.
That's where I'm at with it! I absolutely love the game in its current state even with the issues and I can't wait to see what this game looks and feels like in a year, 2 years, 3 years, etc.

Honestly I had SOOOOO MUCH of a struggle yesterday playing it but the little I did I had a blast and that's coming from tarkov. Everything needs work which was obvious. Nonetheless I'm here for the ride! (If your having fps issues turn FSR on and you will gain 30)

I've been playing alot so far, honestly loving it alot my biggest gripe is the weird issue where you kind of rubberband/lagaround when moving. When it doesn't do it I'm enjoying alot. Once that's fixed I feel it'll be amazing
I'm right there with you. The occasional rubber banding is super annoying to deal with especially if you're in a fire fight with the enemies around LAMANG
The rubber banding is usually a sever issue I’ve been able to leave and join a different server and it fixes it

I got to say I really like this game but I'm laughing at a lot of people because I am playing on an old 1080 TI graphics card can I get 50 frames on high settings on 4K so I don't know what is going on with everybody's systems
On paper, the 1080 TI in most aspects is more powerful than a 3060 and 3070 so you just have a goated card lol
@@RedBeardMortis I will say it's a very high quality wafer card that I can overclock really high with no issues and it has been deleted and a few other things but the game runs on a mix of high and mid on 4K and gets a solid 50 frames
Im playing the game on a 7800x3d, 32gb 6000mhz ddr5, rx7900xtx at 1440p
Textures epic, shadows and reflections medium, everything else high. no fsr or frame gen enabled, just tsr antialiasing on high -> 90-110 stable fps in the live build, 110-130 fps in the current beta test build, so they´re already working on optimization.
