Most of the celebrity female friendships that have broken up are cases where both women have strong personalities and both want to be the stars. You also have to be willing to celebrate each other’s wins. Where there is jealousy it still won’t work. I know someone personally who all those close to her are people that are not a threat to her. Once a woman is prettier than her or gets more attention than her then she won’t be their close friend.
