Retail, specifically at a convenience store. I was treated as dirt. I was desperate at the time as my good job had laid me and the entire workforce off and moved to another state. The convenience store job was soul crushing and one night shift I was held up at gunpoint. No alarm system. The robber got about $80 in tens and fives. Called the cops and my manager. Cops investigated, manager accused me of being in cahoots with the thief. I was in a fury; the only reason that she could not get the cops to believe her accusations was that the thief hit another convenience store in the next town over a few minutes before I got robbed. I was given no counseling, no time off. I had no prospect of another job but the stress nearly caused me to have a nervous breakdown. I finally quit even though hubby and I were struggling to stay afloat. I'd clean septic tanks before I'd ever work at a convenience store again.
Third shift in a warehouse. One night I slept through 4 alarm clocks. And my co workers were idiots. Food service. I did almost 20 years. I was a cook. And did institutional. On one job I worked 14 years. I outlasted 20 other cooks. Some were good. Others were odd. And I had a couple that were the biggest back stabbers. And the other departments considered Dietary as the scum of the earth.
@@kamar5303 I did warehouse for about 24 years. My last 2 jobs I worked mostly Inventory control (bean counter). Mostly e-com. Retired after the last company demoted me to shipping. They had moved e-com to 2 other states. The company before, I took a voluntary lay off. They were planning to shut that warehouse down. That and I was about to have a major issue with my supervised. I was about to complain to corporate.
5:00 Former nursing home aide, same. That's why I had no complaints about my inbound call centre jobs, as long as it wasn't selling/upselling anything, all was good.
Worked in a Doctor's office. Doctor lived in a very rich neighborhood and his wife had to have her clothes custom made, as she refused to wear off the rack clothing. We were paid peanuts with no insurance or benefits.
Corporate childcare. Horrible policies that are more about liability than childcare. Babies and toddlers being emotionally starved, often abused and institutionalized under the illusion of early education. The same tactics that car sellers use are used on parents to get their child enrolled. The shit I have seen over the years has made me absolutely refuse to put a child of mine into one of those facilities. Instead, they will be with me and eventually join the homebased preschool group with the other children I will be teaching.
Any work for a day labour company. Never knew what you were going to do day to day. Roofing?Demo?Flagging a sign etc etc etc... Hard to get motivated when leaving house at 4:30 am and not knowing what you will be doing for the day. 😢
Will neverclean houses again, I have an issue with people micro managing, want the house cleaned in a certain way, finally gave the woman that ran the cleaning service a list of clients I wouldn't service. I finally quit.
1: customer service. Never again. I got fed up serving ignorant and entitled people. 2: furniture delivery, for the same reasons as being a mover mentioned in the video. Id say the worst part was not knowing when Id be home. Depending on how many deliveries I had or where they were, I could be working really late. I was out until 2am one day. Screw that. Im a hotel maintenance manager now. I rarely have to interact with guests, like only 2% of my interactions are with guests while the rest are employees and vendors/contractors. And I have a set schedule. I love it.
Building cell towers. I loved that job but it was tough. 100 degree summers and 0 degree winters handling steel. Was ok when I was young. Never again though.
Being an office assistant for a podiatrist. I had to clean the examination room and write down all of the phone messages before the podiatrist arrives. Then as she would examine the patients, I had to put away loads of paperwork in their appropriate files, half of them I couldn't find. Not because I wasn’t looking, but because I wasn't told where half of them were. I was called in the examination room every time a patient needed a shot. So I had to stand there, ask them mundane ass questions about them, and let them squeeze the life out of my hand in order to distract them. One time, when I didn’t come in on a Friday because it was crossed out on the planner, I was told that I was supposed to come in that day. She didn't bother telling me before hand. The last straw was around Thanksgiving of last year. She told me and the only other office assistant (who was there longer than me) that she was changing our schedules and to not come in unless she texted us. I asked her to confirm this and she did. Only for her to basically go "woe is me" by December and told my mom and godmother that I was basically a no-show, even though she never told me to come in. I quit in December.
Scrap yard. Prepping cars to get put into the crusher. Remove gas, gas tank, mercury switches, battery, radiator. Got gas in my face at least once every few days. Acid burn from a battery with a tiny crack in it. I had to scrape some mix of oil and chemicals off of my legs, going up to my knees, every day using orange sol and brillo pads.
Fast food. You get people saying "You should quit and get a real job." Then wonder why they're food takes forever. And when they ask why I was the only one in the lobby, I would just say, "Oh, the last girl quit and got a better job!" And got snears. Or some places are now only open for 4-6 hours, because they don't have enough staff. Funny how people always complain, even when it's their own doing
Man, I’ve worked various gigs here & there but spent most of my professional life, 25+ years in Call Centers or similar & Bars & Nightclubs, luckily as Bar Management but let these folks tell it & Im a Sadist, Masochist or just Gluten for Punishment 😂😂
Direct support professional. For the most part I loved the individuals I cared for. Constant mandates. Bad staff were given so much slack meanwhile good staff were given extra tasks and criticized for taking time off / taking a sick day . Shady HR. If you didn’t kiss ass and or questioned anything you had a target on your back . False allegations can lead to weeks of no work without pay. Working with aggressive individuals could lead to injuries. The pay . You can make more money working at McDonald’s than being responsible for the lives of individuals who can’t take care of themselves. I did the job for 8 years . Never again
Contact center. First customer service for a clothing brand. Sale starts at 6pm so we prepare to tell customers "no we can't change the amount you owe on an order you placed at 5:59pm" then tech support for a streaming service "I'm not tech savy" basically saying they are useless. If you had told me that I could work for Walmart for $1 less I would have done it.
The worst job I’ve had so far is working for FedEx as a package handler. It was a part time job and they were going to give me 15-20 hours per week, but I actually averaged closer to 12.6 hours per week. The main issue I had with the job was the fact that they wanted me to do the job right AND fast. I was able to do one or the other, but I struggled to do both at the same time.
I did that while I went to community college. It sucked a lot of the time but they give you benefits for part time, including some tuition reimbursement. It helped me out a lot
A lot of call center jobs condemnations here. Darn, been working in the Industry for 10 yrs and I've never had a problem. I'm glad not to be on your shoes. All of jobs has it's own problem. But I'll never work on retail again.
OK, I know most of all the cuss (offensive to you crybabies) in the language he uses and every time he uses the letter S as a cuss word I can’t figure which offensive word that has to be censored. Or has TH-cam banned the letter S now?
worst: any call center job
2nd worst: any position restaurant job
being a cook is a blast wdym? well i guess its not for everyone lol
Flip that around then I'd like
Bein̈g a dishwasher is the worst most degrading job ever
All on-call jobs. Trust me, it's never worth it. You never truly get any days off.

@kamar5303 warehouses used to be great . Untill they started being ran by accountants and hr . They killed the job .
Oil change guy at a franchise auto shop. It's an unappreciated job and it's extra hot and cold in the garage during the winter and summer.
5:00 Former nursing home aide, same. That's why I had no complaints about my inbound call centre jobs, as long as it wasn't selling/upselling anything, all was good.
Anything involving food or call centers
Worked in a Doctor's office. Doctor lived in a very rich neighborhood and his wife had to have her clothes custom made, as she refused to wear off the rack clothing. We were paid peanuts with no insurance or benefits.
Anything dealing with the general public is awful.

Working for the YMCA, steer clear. They have one of the highest turnover rates.
The teaching profession is insane. Most of the complaints seem to be adminstration being useless and sabatoging
The vet tech replies give me flashbacks to all of the pets I have lost iver the years and my heart sank

It's a family trade for me. Fresh out the military it was great!
Once I started my family though, I had to find something else.

Working in Wal Mart
Call centre job is abysmal. I preferred standing for 8 hours at a factory.
USPS warehouse. I lasted there long enough to find a job somewhere else. It is a wonder anyone gets their mail.

Being a dishwasher
I feel so sorry for your hands! My friend is one, and hers are so badly cracked even though she uses lotion like nobody's business.
@vanovasmith9586 yeah it's not fun and usually no tips and if you're tipd it's like 2/3% the lowest of everybody. Not worth it
09:14 = I am both regretful and thankful that I listened to this section of the video, we truly are a despicable species.

Basically, most jobs.

Call center. The general public is too entitled to see how dumb it is.
Love these videos for some reason
Crew member in any cruise line
Ramp Agent. Trusting your life to people who don't look out after their own is generally a bad idea
What game is being played in the background?
Thank you so much for your video.
what is the game playing in the background
Professional Auto mechanic and technician, ruined my life 24 years wasted in this crap field.
Asphault, and concrete, or anything with heights
Roofing.
