This pregnancy/house baby plot was the main advertisement for season 3. It made me really excited to watch this season. Now after only 5 episodes, Nomi is gone and will probably only return after an adoption that we won’t even see. The only saving grace would be if she returns with her baby, but every teen/college show seems to go with the predictable adoption story. I wish just one show would actually do college parenting. It happens all the time and would open up so many potential plots.

A lot of women go to school and take care of their families and complete a degree. It sucks that the show opened the possibility for this great storyline just to end it not even halfway through the season.

This was 20 years ago, but I doubt the (my) school has made provisions for parent student. Not to say they weren’t any parent students...they just existed as commuter students, those without family help to watch their child, dropped out of school. They weren’t active part of the college community. I’m just thinking wouldn’t a show like that be just the college edition of Teen Mom? What college students wants to dorm with a baby roommate anyway?

Maybe Nomi doesn't tell him, but if she doesn't I'd bet they'd show us why. Like, maybe he was just a really fratty, immature guy that she hooked up with and she feels like he'd cause more stress than support. Or if they go the more dramatic route, maybe it's a minor character we've already met (there's no way it's Luka) or a professor and that's why she's hesitant to involve them and reveal them to the group. Overall, though, it is absolutely Nomi's call. It all depends on her reasoning; If she doesn't think the guy is mature enough or she just doesn't want to have the possibility of a continued romance with him, she could still tell him but not allow him to be involved, just aware. If it's something else like him being a horrible person and/or a potential bad influence on the baby, no one can argue with that. Not every one night stand is going to be a good father.

If Nomi tells him now, any reaction will be an unfair obe. A huge decision isn't just a "yes" or "no" like everyone is saying. The father, regardless of the answer, should've been there since the beginning. Doug is right. By waiting this long, Nomi makes him look irresponsible no matter what he ends up doing. I'll bet that when she does explain to the child (assuming the father says no) she'll say he abandoned them because let's face it, she won't tell if she's waited this long. People are acting like Nomi cant just get a partner who is willing to help raise the child and be a father to it. Either way contacting the dad at the last minute is wack, but I've never been in that situation myslef and I would also be scared. That's why she needs to tell him but have boundaries in place. One since they aren't together and she waited so long to contact him, he shouldnt have to pay child support. He can if he wants but he should have to be made to. Two if he wants to bounce let him, but let him comeback once hes mature and wants a kid. Some people dont want a kid especially since hes in school and has his own goals in life and could have his own relationships. For me those are the major ones the others will be based on what she wants. All in all he has leeway because she waited so long on telling him. Its be one thing is he knew and just didnt want to be involved
Last Minute???? Lmaooo is the baby about to die?? The baby isn’t even born yet and they will hopefully have a long life. Anytime before birth isn;t last minute actually. And after deciding to bounce that kid has the right to not want anything to do with you when you think you are mature to come back and he has to accept that as well. Telling him anytime between the pregnancy is perfectly fine. Should have been when’s he first found out but during preganancy is fine because regardless it is her decision if she wants to have the child or not and not his.

And nomi should've told phil after she found out she was pregnant then he would've been more prepared to be a father if nomi tells him now then he will be extremely stressed and confused

Vivek and Doug are both idiots. So her child shouldn't have a father because she waited to tell him? That makes absolutely no sense at all. She didn't create that baby herself so no she shouldn't have to raise it herself whether he found out as soon as it happened or nine months later, either way he made a baby, he's a father that's it.. It would be unfair for her to not tell that boy he has a child in the world and it would be unfair to her child to grow up fatherless because she's scared of a reaction.
