I swear i can't hear this song without thinking of the video that emphasized Mario going through the 5 stages of grief. You can feel where the tone shifts for every stage up to where Luigi's last line nails in the fact that this isn't some trick of the mind. That Mario has truly lost his brother to the green-eyed monster.
i always thought that mario's voice sounded off, luigi's were meh. ( no offense ) but hearing this actually makes the song better as mario and luigi sound like themselves.

Cause Mario's voice comes from Hotel Mario and Luigis comes from clips from Super Mario World that's why they sound different cause it is different
