You can feel where the tone shifts for every stage up to where Luigi's last line nails in the fact that this isn't some trick of the mind. That Mario has truly lost his brother to the green-eyed monster.

Cause Mario's voice comes from Hotel Mario and Luigis comes from clips from Super Mario World that's why they sound different cause it is different
