- My tribute to a brilliant Swedish actor Michael Nyqvist. I like his acting, especially his Swedish dramatic roles and films. So the vid is kind of thematic, `cause I think, all these movies are united with one idea and atmosphere. That`s why I decided not to put here clips from the Millenium trilogy and Hollywood action movies with his bad Russians ^^

Well, I don't watch Swedish movies and I watched this video without knowing this actor or any of his movies. What I thought I was watching was a movie about following a man over many years in his life. A man that stumbles and falls but always gets up, tries so hard to find something to live for and sometimes it happens, mostly he worked for it. The happiness he reaches is always short and the fall that follows the harder. A few times he was about to give up. He never did. He stood up and tried again.
The end was an open end to me. It didn't say if he found the joy he was looking for or the love for people or even what he was supposed to do with his life, but it didn't matter because for now he was happy and he woulder never stop looking for the happiness in life and people's company.
Then I read the info and felt a bit stupid for thinking it was only one movie *laughs* but I understood why you felt he was a great actor. No matter how I watched this video, he is. That video was great.
Wow. Thank you very much for this comment, I`ve never thought that this can be considered as video this one plot, I just wanted to convey the atmosphere of these movies. I`m glad it made sense for you.

I can highly recommend "As it is in heaven" and the Millenium-trilogy, becouse he truly was an outstanding actor.

This is an amazing tribute, I have chills. I love Michael Nyqvist, but I have still so many movies with him ahead to watch. He's actually one of many factors that convinced me to start learning Swedish this summer. Lovely, thank you.

I have seen him in several other movies but he'll always be the fearless reporter Mikael Blomkvist. I pass my condolences to his two children. Another great actor taken too soon.

It was just yesterday that I came to know this actor as I watched John Wick and it's so sad to here he just passed away! I have yet to watch more of his work! But the first thing I thought as I saw him: He was a very good looking and interesting guy!

I've only ever seen him in the "Girl w/a Dragon Tattoo" series, but I obviously need to look for more of his work. Is he any relation to the - also-brilliant - cinematographer Sven Nykvist [e.g, Fanny & Alexander, Cannery Row, etc]?

Don`t know about relation with Sven Nykvist, possibly there isn`t any.
As It is in Heaven is a wonderful movie, watch it!) What a shame the others are not available. What about torrent trackers, are they available in US? I downloaded all the movies from different torrents without any problems.
