Jenny getting emotional was a touching moment. Bring on 2023.
May 21st 2013 - Paris - Trianon. Straight up magic. Please tour again next year. 20 year anniversary tour.
They are! Do you have tickets?
I want that acoustic version of "District" so badly..
I found their cd on the floor of my high school, not knowing who they were. From the first song, I fell in love and it helped me with my hardships at that time. It was fate at it's finest moment.
That is a serendipitous event
We Will Become Silhouettes in 2020 means so much more.
I'm happy they kept it with just one album, shows how money isn't the most important thing to them cause they could make a lot of another album or right after there first album . Anyways this album was way ahead of its time
Leave a like if it's 2018 or beyond and you still love the Postal Service!
2019 but yeah lol
@@ehgore1978 2020 but yeah lol
I'll love them til' I die
2023
Great I'm at work and can't stop crying. The nostalgia feels soo good yet makes me soo sad. I hope to see them 1 day.
Middle school was kinda hard for me but this album kept me smiling all the way through. I remember listening to it and wondering if I would ever see them live so when I heard about it I got my tickets right away. Thanks for touring and making the best album ever made.
I hope you got to go to the 20th anny tour
I love The Postal Service.
I'm 22 now, but my mother showed me this band when I was 8 years old.
I've been an avid listener since then, and I just fuckin love this band.
I'm back just to prove I'm an avid listener. Lol.
that album was so fuckin' good i must've listened to it for 2 months straight. everyday on a burnt CD an ex gave me on my sony discman all through all my school classes. whenever i hear any of those songs im instantly transported back to those days and i love that bitter sweet revelry that i get.
I got chills when jimmy started the intro to such great heights. What an experience that concert must have been. Wish I could have been there...
NOW, I finally see why people always said that early Owl City sounded like the Postal Service...This is my first introduction to the band, but believe im gonna have this album soon :D
"Daydreaming in song."
That's exactly how I feel when I listen to the music on this album.
I remember hearing the record in a music library about ten years ago, and i immediately borrowed it. I have been listening to the songs every now and then since that day. His writing is so good.
Listen 2 album everyday almost
10 years ago and here we are after another 10 years.
So glad I got to see them in Manchester, the tickets sold out in like less than 2 mins!
i got chills when such great heihgts came on, totally reminded me of whe i was starting out highschool
this band is awesome and underrated, i wish they would come back and make more albums, yah i like there seperate projects, death cab, jenny lewis solo career, dntel etc, but i think they sholdve kept going with the postal service, they had so much potential together, i hope one day we get another album or 2 or 3 albums, or hopefully a reunion again, one day hopefully
I hope you went or are going its an amazing show worth every friggin penny
I cant believe they wont at least do a show in Portland Oregon and Seattle.
I saw them in Brooklyn it was one of the greatest shoes of my life.. It almost felt surreal at some
You know the 20th anniversary is coming up soon, interested to see what happens
Wow I remember surfing from vid 2 vid on yahoo back in the day hearing some of these songs when I thought it was new I'm 26 now and I was like 15 I guess. Being high on whatever hearing this music played by friends of the past thinking that those days were set in stone feeling those things again and again when I hear great music like this cause I'm caught in moments of my life that I treasure even when they were bad. Good shit.
Saw them in NC, absolutely incredible, will never forget it
Was at this show, amazing. The arrangements of the songs for the tour were sick! Thx!
I'm such a big fan. How awesome you pulled out the old sampler and laptop you used to create the music I listen to almost daily!
I got chills. I first hear Give Up in 2006. I was never the same.
This shit makes me cry happy tears of nostalgia.
I think this has been one of the more better reunions that have come up in the past three years
I love this record. So much. I got chills several times in this video.
This was absolutely amazing to watch, thanks!
Oh god. I was standing like right behind the camera when they were interviewing Jenny in Brooklyn in the tracksuit. It's good to know what that was for. Very cool documentary!
my friend showed me give up when we were in around 4th grade and i have loved them ever since. it definitely makes me think of 5th-6th grade.
I really hope everyone sees them this year. It was such a treat getting to see them.
This needed to be longer; such a fantastic documentary.
Yes! I am so glad that this has been made, and that I found it at 2 in the morning! haha
This short documentary captures a detailed look of one of my most favorite bands. I was so lucky to have been able to see them live, and I hope that they decide to do something more together soon. :)
They kicked ass at Coachella, was stoked I finally got the chance to see them live.
Love love love! Wish I could see this tour.
So amazing. Saw this live at the Greek Theatre in Berkley!
Love indie rock!
this is the best fucking thing i have ever seen.
Always loved them and I still listen to them.
Always gonna love this fucking amazing band! Still keeping the hope alive for a second record some day.
I cant wait to see this group live! their music is amazing, coming from someone who isn"t all that into electronic music.
The postal service! Awesome!
what a great friggin band
Yeeay, welcome back!!!
This album is just magic
damn, Jimmy is impressive
in love, again.
20 years coming up soon BOOK IT.
I can not believe....I lost the last live concert in Barcelone!!!!!! I hope they repeat this show, I need feel the best emotions from they in my live!
Great video, thanks!
Damn past people getting all the cool music.
Dudes need to make another album. Give Up was insane
Was expecting a documentary about the royal mail for some reason haha
I'm seeing them at Lollapalooza. Can't. Wait.
This was the best show I've ever seen and probably one of the most significant events of my life.
is there a link where I can watch the entire documentary? I'm dying to see this man.
One of the best albums.
PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!
God I'm crying
...2020 here, 17 years and counting!
2020 still waiting for more postal service.
I was at that show and brought t girlfriend who ha never heard of the band before. What an amazing and unforgettable experience. I made a fan out of her!
I'm gonna cry. I want to go so bad. Come to the east coast gahhh
Had known about the band from the get-go in 2003 but i heard the album around December 2006. Heard the album multiple times a day after leaving my family house back in the day, wondering what to do with my life while listening to "Give up".
2023 best have another one of these
Ive been in love with Jenny Lewis for most of my life. She just seems really cool
I was there the second night!
Jimmy is the man!!!
I can respect that Ben just wants to keep it where they ended and not mess up trying to re-create the magic. It is very sad that we will never again see a new postal service album. However, at least I know that they wouldn't do it just for the money.
their performance at sasquatch was unlike anything ive ever seen
Someone needs to make a full-length documentary. Now. Seriously. Do it.
I wish he could just listen to my songs and call me and ask me to do a record or to be featured on something with him. Ben Gibbard has inspired me to no end.
im not going 2 listen to the album again for a while..i been playing it non stop daily for almost 2 months straight. but every time I think its getting old it never does..I personally don't think a another album should come out anytime soon because somethings are better with just 1.
So how about a full length doc and/or concert film? Like now, please.
When I was at the Berkeley show, they mentioned that the reason why there were so many cameras around was because they are filming a DVD or something.
She sang on Nothing Better in Seattle, but I believe it was a one off thing.
Definitely not a fail. You see, occasionally schedules don't quite mesh. Have a little respect.
cool
This band helped me get home from iraq
Does anyone know what MiDi Controller/keyboard Jimmy Tamborello is using around 3:00 to 3:22??? i've been trying to figure out where i can get that exact one and cannot figure it out, any help would be greatly appreciated!! thanks.
Why the F* is nobody on the front row lip singing all these beautiful songs!
I am very sorrowful for you, stranger.
great film! except the vice logo >.
No Jen Wood? (the singer on the actual album for Nothing Better) Fail.
Excuse me? I'm not talking about the show. I think it's disrespectful to not even mention Jen Wood's name in a "documentary" of the album, despite her contribution to the vocals, simply because she was not a part of the touring band.
9:52 any guesses as to what that is?
so when are they picking up my mail?
I love Gibbard, don't get me wrong the guy is a genius lyrically. I feel like the album has so much hype they are afraid to make another one because whatever they put out would never live up to Give Up. An album half as good would still be bad ass though!
11:25 so does that mean there is going to be another record?
Christian Jose No the band is disbanded.
why does no one in the crowd know the words to these songs?!?!arggg
why is it every time they show the crowd, their not singing....
I don't think that's the reason. It was intended to be a one-off project, and they've stuck to that, despite the pressure to make more.
And, if you want an album half as good, try Owl City. lol :)~
I love dcfc and love postal serv. love. Fuck.
Points
Jenny Lewis and Ben Gibbard should make babies!! I love them both!
Tell them to donate all proceeds to the federal postal office before they go bankrupt! Haha! All jokes aside they sound great & groovy!
