- Queen Elizabeth’s close bond with Prince Harry and Prince William was never more evident than when they lost their mother Princess Diana. Reportedly she told her staff to let the boys sleep in before their father, Prince Charles, broke the heartbreaking news to them. Access Hollywood is examining the late British monarch, who died at age 96 on Sept. 8, and her bond with her two grandsons.

She genuinely looked happy when she was with Harry.

I am more saddened that Harry and his wife have caused so much pain to his grandparents in their last years of life. He didn’t even bother to visit his dying grandfather while there was still opportunities.

Elizabeth really was such a remarkable woman.... Her passing strikes at my heart, and ultimately rips away yet another relevant piece of our past, further serving to alienate me, as an older folk, from "life" and forever altering my perception.... I hope the memories shall always remain.
Love, respect and admire the Queen so much. She loved her two grandsons William and Harry with all her heart, so did Phillip. They raised them and guided after their mother’s tragic untimely sad passing. They did great at shielding/ protecting them from the details of what happened. The Queen seemed genuinely happy and joyful when Harry was with her. It was widely known that she favored him. She did her most to avoid the pain of being a spare, of not wanting another Margaret. I think that a lot of y’all need to stop making your personal problem with Harry hers. It was very clear that she adored him and according to most people that wrote about her they always felt that he was her favorite grandchild. Things have happened that I’m pretty sure that everybody’s proud of everybody has had their old moment where things have happened but that doesn’t mean that she ever stop loving him or that he ever stop loving her. At the end of the day he was her grandbaby one of her greatest loves and I’m sure that he felt that in from the way that he spoke about her they had a very close relationship he literally just talked about her two months ago and how he enjoyed talking to her rather it was in person or over the phone. They had a special bond, sure he’s made some mistakes just like everybody answering that monarchy has, but that doesn’t change his love for her or hers for him. And the fact that in his time of morning you feel that the first thing that would be on anybody’s mind is who forgives him and who doesn’t is utterly ridiculous I think Harry is more worried about how he’s going to have to spend the rest of his life never getting to physically talk to her or see her again. He should start there not be worried about people that obviously don’t care about him.
