Thanks for this tutorial series! I haven't used Blender since version 2.6x, so this was very helpful to get me up to speed on the interface changes. I think you guys have done a great job of refining the interface to a point where it's easier for beginners to explore and discover functionality while maintaining the lightning fast hotkey centric interface Blender is known for (arguably much improved - the only sticking point for me is that I keep mashing 'a' trying to deselect all lol)
These videos are fantastic. Concise, comprehensive, and efficient. Thank you very much. After using 3ds Max for far too long, I just donated to the foundation and now I'm pushing for our studio to transition to Blender.
I have started learning blender. I wanted to before 5 years, But industry asks for 3Ds max for 3D architect Visualisation. Finally, I got time to learn this time. Because of Sculpting, Modelling, rendering and EEVEE. It would be fun I say. Thanks for the tutorial Straight to the point. Thank you Blender and Ton!
For anyone seeing this, after he changes the frame count to 10, he clicks record (circle to the left of the play button at bottom middle of screen) uses "G" to grab and move the object, and then pushes "shift+right arrow key" to jump to the next keyframe, uses "G" and "R" to grab and rotate the object and then clicks record again at the end to de-highlight it.
LOL In rendering, "noise" is the grainy aspect of shadows and mid-tones, with no soft transition between values. It has nothing to do with hearing noises
@@PeterNjeim I see the same message that i see for cuda (No compatible GPU's found, cycles will render on cpu ), But I am only getting this with blender 2.80 not with 2.79 because i had full gpu support for cycles renderer
@@FarhanKhan18 Yes I updated my reply after I learned about the situation. Turns out they removed macOS support due to Apple dropping support for OpenCL as well.
It's also possible to do in edit mode with the clean-up menu under Mesh. I tend to use decimate to reduce the filesize and improve performance when I have a very large object. Sometimes I use it to simplify the form of an object so I can see if the overall shape works without the details.
Note that when you use denoising, random seed is not optimal.
Yes! Good tip!
but does it make the result a lot better?

Excellent tutorial series. Very fast and straight to the point.
Incredible tutorial series Dillon, and big thumbs up to the blender team. 2.8 is fantastic.
What is Dillon?

Thank you for doing this! ("feature" based videos in small, concise chunks)
Thank you for the new tutorials..!! Blender rocks..!!
Note: use OIDN denoiser in compositor for better denoising results with shorter render times
Can't find the Denoising section under view layers tab 2.91
Same here. I found a denoising option under sampling but I am not sure if it is the same one.
Same, can't find it
As of Blender v2.91.0 there is no longer "Denoising" options in View Layer. Looks like it replaced with Denoise Node in Compositing
see in render proportions on right panel
Please update for 3.0. I don't understand the new sample settings.
How do you make the animation (2:00)? When I try to render animation, it just prints out the same picture for me...

we need an overscan feature to render the images larger for lens distortion later in nuke! ;)
Thx dude. Very informative video, you helped me a lot.
Very helpful...very friendly
Thanks Open source 👍
I wanna heart to know that you saw my opinion
For people that have slow render times on GPU.
Set up your "Tiles" on higher number or your render will take forever.
Learn on mine mistakes :D

Very goooooooood
Thank you !

Thanks a lot for the great tutorial!
I get really pixelated jagged renders. Do you know what I might be doing wrong?
I will try to master it, keep make the tutorial. ^^
m a newbie in using blender nd m trying the render animation but it is showing a pinkish color when viewing animation..can any1 help me in this???
I don't have Denoise option in my View layer Properties. Why?
Can someone please explain what the narrator means by noise? I ask as I have not heard any noise while using the cycles samples.

perfect
A video on branched path tracing?
When are we going to see adaptive sampling on blender?

why cycles render me a black image?
That'll help me alot
Greeeeat video for beginners, like me :) :) 😂
how to use decimate geometry in Blender 2.80?
Select the object. In the proprietys panel go to modufuer toolvar and select "decimate modifier"
It's also possible to do in edit mode with the clean-up menu under Mesh.

WHY DONT THEY JUST MAKE DENOISE A DEFULT WHEN YOU RENDER
Please note that the denoising doesn't work for baking (developer.blender.org/D3099).
useful!
I have 500 sampling and still get fucking noise. I have no clue on what to do 😭
This doesn’t work for 3.0
