It is a treasure for me. It is also said to be a herb: antiscorbutic and vulnerary, used externally as a poultice on fresh wounds to stop the bleeding ... The leaves have been used in salads, being acrid and pungent like cress, but rather bitter. I have variegated version too, it is nice under dark green plants.
It is definitely one of those 'must have' plants you include in your wild or naturalized wall or rock garden. One that you grow to love.
