Oh that baby is the spitting image of his Daddy! As for the girls, encourage them to love each other. Hugs, including and helping , and gentleness with each other goes a long way in cementing healthy bonds. I love how this new project is so good for your whole family. You guys are rocking it!
Yes, echoing what a lot of the family here have said in the comments already, i LOVE the casual vlog style! I hope you'll share more of this style!! Congratulations on the new lake house. What wonderful memories you will all share!
My bestie had 2 girls that were 2 years apart and they fought so much when they were little and now that they are adults, they are each other's bestest friends and have such an amazing bond. Sibling rivalry is natural. You have a beautiful family! 💜❤️💙
Just discovered you when I saw the cottage purchase video. I am not interested in buying pallets or Amazon returns. But I am interested personal finance and in how to make additional income. But I LOVE your home Reno videos. You are very hardworking and love your vision and attention to detail.
I have two boys that have made Summer break feel like 20yrs with the constant fighting. It’s actually nice to know that even with both of you there, and as calm as you both seem to be, that the girls still do it. My mom says my sis and I did it, I don’t remember it being constant, but we outgrew it. Hoping my boys outgrow it soon..
ENERGY TO FIGHT THEN YOU HAVE ENERGY TO WORK!!!! I read this in a parenting magazine... My boys would here me coming down the hall And I tell them you have 3 mins to settle this n set the timer.... Before the timer rang the boys had already stopped fighting!!! I pray it works for you!!
Such a beautiful family! The Supernanny TV series is older but still streamed and full of insights on discipline and how to build a harmonious family life. Jo Frost was the Supernanny, she may have a book out there, too. 💕
I have two girls age 4 and 2. It's hard and it doesnt always work but I teach them to respect each others personal space and if one of them says to give me space, then the other would respect that. And then i thank them for doing that. Doesnt always work but when it does, its good.
When my girls were little and they’d fight over a toy I started out by giving them 2 options (one would get the toy for 15 minutes and then the other one would get it for 15 minutes or they’d both agree than neither one of them would play with that toy and they’d both choose something else to play with). Then I’d ask which one they wanted to do and over time I’d change it up to where they would come up with their own solution. The day I overheard them compromise without my help just about brought tears to my eyes! If they were just arguing I’d make them get face to face and do something goofy like put their thumbs in their ears and wiggle their fingers while sticking their tongues out. They’d start laughing and the argument would be over. It was the same thing that they’d realize that they were arguing and do something to make each other laugh instead.
Sarah, you mentioned that you buy things at auction and then sell on marketplace, can you share which are your favorite auctions sites to buy from? Thank you!!!
My Aunt had 4 boys. Whenever they were fighting too much she would seat them at the table across from each other with a pencil & a piece of paper. They weren't allowed to move from the table until they listed 10 good things about the brother they were fighting with. Usually by the time they were done they forgot what they were fighting about. I thougt it was a genius idea. I planned on using it with my kids but ended up having only one.
I grew up with a sister who was Very close to me in age and we fought. A Lot. Sometimes it was just verbal squabbling and sometimes it was serious to the point where we could have injured each other. Our mom would usually let us work things out until we put hands on each other. We are great friends now, by the way. Sometimes, when we would get rough with each other she would give us a job to do. It was usually a 'hard' job and almost always something we hated doing, like hilling the potatoes or pulling weeds in the garden or cleaning. Other times she separated us to the point we were not allowed to speak to or see each other. That was hard on us because even though we fought we were also each other's best friend. We lived Way out in the boonies and there weren't other kids around for us to play with. She believed in spanking and would pick a switch and put it in a glass of water on the table after telling us that the next time she would use it. And she would. She Never, ever told us something like that and then didn't follow through. If she said it, it was gospel. Poor woman, I don't know how she survived us. Hahaha! She was a Great mom, a soft place to land when life got rough on us but tough as nails when we needed her to be.
Id love to know if there are other properties in this community for sale or similar MCM ones you came across in your search. We’re in Ohio and have been looking for lake properties in MI but feel kind of overwhelmed (soooo many lakes!)
Hi Sarah. I thought pink would be 😍 pretty. Arguing is ok as long as they are respectful & understand that they are family. I am 1 of 5 kids 4 girls 😃. I have just one daughter she is 38 now. 🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
Really burning up the energy - it’s a lot for two healthy adults with little ones in tow! Be sure to breathe in some joyful moments in each day - God Bless.
Have a Kindness jar; when they are you can use points or money to put in it and when unkind, take points out. Explain love and Kindness: Patience, selflessness, sharing, encouraging words, helping without being asked. They earn to have a goal: a trip to a favorite park or ice cream place. Also, have game nights at least once a month, then you can model these things too. It could be a quick way to get more points. One more thing, when you see kindness make it a big deal, point it out, You can say how proud you are when they are showing it.
@@JAMIEANDSARAH It is always better to give a positive approach and attention to get the behavior you want and less attention to behavior you don't like. So instead of what they are arguing about, don't get involved with that, ask are you showing any kindness to each other? One of my favorite sayings is that being louder does not make you more right.
My cousin threatened to duck tape her girls together if they didn’t figure out how to be good to one another. Today they are teenagers and literally don’t stop hugging, helping and loving one another! ❤❤
LOVED this vlog of your day to day, would love to see more of these! Enjoy your lake house, such a beautiful spot!
Thanks so much! We will have to do more vlogs!
Your children are beautiful! ❤

So fun we have a corgi too named Hazel I don’t think she would go in the lake. She hates baths.

Haha it was a busy day! But we definitely have slow days too, just don't document those ones as we are taking a break 😄

that's how they learn conflict resolution, you can get involved to help them learn to work it out, but arguing is ok, the world needs strong women!
Do you ever have help from family and friends?
Rarely!
What is the green store 😂
A salad with pasta? I think you mean pasta salad. 🤣
Hah my mom brain was NOT working in that moment 😅
