Nobody appreciated the film because the Stallone version fucked it all up. Whiners were quick off the mark to compare it to Stallone's rendition of the character.
It’s weird how far Hollywood has fallen, by their own choices. It was fast too!! They deserve it and it almost makes me as proud to be an American as Top Gun 2
A sequel definitely (with Karl Urban and Olivia Thirlby), a game, yes, but not 3rd person, both 1st and 3rd, i.e. Fallout 3 ! Loved this film, so much better than the 1995 version, which did have a great cast, with one exception ... you know !
Yeah, the first movie wasn't as good in general, but the plot of Dredd being framed was pretty good and Armand Assante was enjoyable as the antagonist. Just watched the Karl Urban movie again the other day and it felt so much better, likely in part due to the tighter plot focus. The Raid with Judge Dredd at the center of the action? Cool by me.
@@davedixon2167 True, and Armand seems to always be good. But one of the main reason I watch it was Diane Lane (she should have had a better role, though)!
@@chuckhancock4551 Sure, years after release it's an -okay- game, that still hasn't delivered on some of the features they had originally promised. On release it was Gollum tier.
I really don't think there should ever be a sequel for this movie because I really don't think anyone could do it justice, pun intended.
That scream at 18 seconds shit me up 😂

In 1988 in Brazil they really had as an form of protest voted in a monkey as mayor of Rio de Janeiro
Dredd was better than either the comic or the Stallone film. People just have no taste so it failed.
Imagine them brining in the dead dreads or whatever you call them. The visuals could be sick.
The dark judges! I’ve just started reading about them! There so damn coool!

You want a Dredd video game after what happened to Cyberpunk?
Robocop Rogue City just proved it’s possible to make a decent game on a cult classic film.
A solid GOTY and one of the best games of the current console generation?

Outstanding film, nailed it!
